  1. I was ok with Terry until after being curious about his work I read his on-line reviews. For what its worth there were lots of complaints about his work but even worse in my opinion was that he blew off concerns. I haven't checked since he first appeared but that combined with being "The Swan" surgeon causes me to view him with a bit a side eye.

  2. Ads have started for Botched:

The eight-episode Botched, featuring plastic surgeons Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif, will attempt to remedy extreme plastic surgeries gone wrong. In each episode, the doctors will perform two surgeries, while also working with patients who need help in turning previous surgeries into success stories. It will also chart the patients' every step, from medical procedures to recovery.

  3. Help me.   I was in Sears today looking for a dress for my sister's upcoming wedding.   I stopped to look at one that seemed nice.   That I realized it was from the Kardashian Collection.   I still considered it for a second -- it covered everything decently, was a nice color, nice cut, didn't look trashy.   But I realized I couldn't admit where it is was from.

Well if you didn't buy it you can pat yourself on the back for not adding $ to the K-Klan Kingdom. If you did and it looks kute and not kheap you can feel secure in knowing no one would know anyway.

  4. Her long blonde tresses were worn in an unfortunate lank style with greasy roots, though her make-up was perfectly applied, with kohl-rimmed eyes and glossy bronze lips to match her defined cheekbones.

I was just going to say Brandi looked like crap but the usually treacle Mail-Online slammed her too, well at least her hair. Her extensions were unforgivably bad. She's to thin too and I'll bet its helping to ruin her hair. Lack of proper solid nutrition no doubt.

  5. On their family web page, the Duggars used to have a link to Michael Pearl's book, To Train Up a Child. The instant obedience game comes from there. This book is simply horrible. He recommends switching children as young as 4 months. I think that the Duggars followed this book years ago. I don't know if they still do.

The book is controversial because several kids have died by parents saying they followed the Pearl's techniques. There has been media about it and a push to get Amazon to ban the book. Michael Pearl suggests the use of plumbing pipe, wooden spoons and other available items to "train" your children. Its much more than immediate responses, its child abuse.

  6. 20 acres?  Parcel that up and sell it!  What the heck would they need that land for?

My first thought was that AND that's where all Bin's father's prefab housing would go. I always thought JB had his eye on that family business.

  7. Duggars way of life is Yourself first, Others last, and no one after. It's all about the fame for them. Why would anyone care about Michael? He's over the age that J'Chelle cares about. Maybe Anna is going down the same road.

Yep, I've always felt they miss the point and fail miserably at living and or even representing the whole J.O.Y. thing they themselves promote.

  8. Ramona always looks uncomfortable when she has done/said something stupid and is about to get confronted for it. This goes all the way back to the first season when she beat a hasty retreat from the dinner party that Alex brought an unwelcome Simon to. Ramona threw a huge fit, made everyone uncomfortable, then fled the scene because she said she had to meet some girlfriends for drinks. Last season Heather hilariously followed her around the room to stop her from avoiding the conversation that was the likely result of something silly that had come from Ramona. She has certainly fled the scene more than once this year. She loves to call herself blunt and wears this descriptor like a prize, but when put in a position to defend her behavior by someone more articulate, her crazy eyes start darting around the room in a desperate attempt to escape. She might possess the most horrific verbal skills of anyone on any franchise.

I don't think Ramona makes her retreats because of what she says although she makes it worse. I'm pretty sure some situations give her anxiety and that is what she reacts to. She needs to remove herself from the situation before she starts the verbal diatribes that relieve her anxiety. I can see it happening because I'm the same way. I can get so worked up about something that may not seem to be a big deal and just have to say something about in much the same disastrous way.

  9. The Duggars are also politically active.  They are very aware of what is going on out there.

Maybe they aren't watching Maury but they are most definitely using social media.

I've always thought the Duggars were more politically active than recruiting or witnessing for Christ. They just soft sell this part on the show. Their deal seems to be lifestyle choices which at the top of their list is creating a voting army for their agenda. Having babies and stopping anyone else's choice to birth control in any form is paramount and they back like minded candidates with their time and money. The big problem with this is they want to take away hard won rights we currently enjoy. I find them to be very militant in this regard.

  10. I like Harry too but only in connection to various cast members. He's an interesting combo of ex husband, father, sweaty aging playboy, dated (or more) at least two (or more) cast members shows up to round out the Housewife dinner table. He's just another version of the typical gay husband that has become a Housewife staple but I don't really want to know more. He can continue to be a just be plus one and that will be enough.

  11. Could I be wrong? Absolutely.  But what else do we do but suppose on forums like these?

Exactly.  There is no reason for Vicki to go home shopping with them unless they want her opinion (which it seems they clearly do not) or she's helping them to buy it.  I'm not faulting Vicki or Briana if Vicks is helping but Briana needs to shut it with criticisms about Vicks and California.

I always ask myself if its first a true tale or second does it seem to be production pushed, tweaked or scripted for season continuity or third is it "Gretchened" which for me means completely fake and will eventually piss off both fans and Bravo. In this case I vote for the second choice with Brianna being paid to appear.

  12. I agree about Tamra's face in the TH's too... her face has looked weird all season and pretty much different (from itself) in every various scene/TH she has had this season.  I noticed the eye thing especially in this episode too.

That and her lips seem so tight and pinched. She's really just turning into her mother.

Anyone notice how quiet both Lizzie & Danielle got when Shannon was talking about having her nose done?  Maybe cuz they both had their noses done too?

I totally noticed that. I think Lizzie got more than her nose done - you can barely tell that she and her sister were related.

I thought they looked very different too until I noted a shot of the two of them in the same profile. Same nose that looked like an Italian Indian possibility. Lizzie also was wearing her usual heavy make up that gives her a very harsh look compared to her sisters natural appearance. I think with washed faces they'd look more like sisters.

Yes! Ubi, I couldn't believe Vics hit the waiter. Wow...

These are the programs that Bill Gothard has been running since the 60s. The programs were very successful but are currently experiencing decline.
IBLP: The Institute in Basic Life Principles was established for the purpose of introducing people to the Lord Jesus Christ, and is dedicated to giving clear instruction and training on how to find success by following God’s principles found in Scripture.
ATI: The Advanced Training Institute International (ATI) is a home education program that provides curriculum and training to support parents in raising their children to love the Lord Jesus Christ, reason wisely based on the principles of Scripture, have world-changing purpose in life, and give Biblical answers to the needs of our day
    BOD: Board of Directors
While most of the followers do home church or go to conservative Baptist congregations all homeschool their kids using Bill's curriculum and attend his programs.

  15. I read somewhere that neither set of lawyers moved to have a closed court. (take that as you will) If true and I were Bethenny or Jason I'd be furious. Bethenny's team is used to high profile cases and should know better. But then again, maybe Bethenny really wants the dirt finally out there on Jason because she sure never seems to miss an opportunity to slam him.

  16. Hi all! I've been addicted to the Housewife franchise mainly due to snarky board chat, gossip and insider info on TWoP and until recently wouldn't have been able to pick a favorite but New-York-City (said in the way of the Bravo opener) wins out for 2014. The rest have just turned into a team sport with screaming as their point system. No one wins and its just ugly so my addiction is ending elsewhere. NYC still brings some watch ability. I enjoy the clothes, real estate, frick and frack, the Countess and the rest and look forward to keeping up with the ladies here.

I was "chainey" on the other side. Someone in the RHW Where and Goodbye TWoP thread said something about sadly not being able to take their post count with them so I thought I'd just bring them along with me so now I'm "Almost 3000" here. (the one warning point for boards on boards gratefully stayed there)
