In the "old days," authors tried to get as many bookstore appearances as they could, when they had a new book out. The better-selling authors were taken around on multi-city tours to make those appearances. I have a few fond memories from the 90's of attending appearances at indie bookstores by authors whose novels I really liked.
The internet and social media have changed the world in so many ways. Including putting more of the promotional work in the authors' hands.
You're right, it's part of the job. Friend just had a book published and she said that she's contractually obligated to post to social media.

I've been sort of half heartily watching these as I fall asleep but I'm annoyed by everyone. You'd think the matchmakers would vet these "dates" as possible marriage partners but no, these are, at best, just possible hook ups. So stupid. I'm out.

JS was a "reality show" so meaness was a part of it whereas this is a "real" trial so as crazy as the actors seem they could only go so far. I can't believe he didn't figure it out just by the time everything took. It was like two weeks for a pretty simple case with a defendant that appeared to have no money for the pain and suffering lady to win.

I haven't found Jen to be a reliable source and was surprised she made the cut. She's pretty sloppy with her facts in her rush to bring down the Christian right and religious cults. So while I appreciate her videos casting light on these groups I hope other sources who at least have some experience with Gothard and his cronies are featured and not anymore YouTubers, vloggers or other media folk who use the Duggars for views.

I think she did comment that reusing what you have so as not to make waste was the goal. It's not the recycling but need for stuff that creates the waste in the first place that the problem. This was my come away.

It's just so weird.
A friend of mine liposuctioned her tummy and did some research about after effects. It's important to keep your weight stable because new weight has to go somewhere and its why you sometimes see weight added across the back of the shoulders or other places. S & D are short and stumpy and I think have those oddly placed fatty spots. Just something I've thought for awhile.

Maybe Pillow Talk. It works as a bit of a time out between seasons. Some of the couples have even redeemed themselves. Maybe? Nah.

Oddly quiet in here. I know Meg has the reputation of always playing the victim but man even with control of the editing she only talks in me phases. You'd think she'd have figured out by now that's not a good look but she just can't help herself.
