You know, i'm not so sure about this. Bravo and Andy Cohen have only given us the Bethy edit on this story, while lying to the audience about her screwing a married guy with kids...which is a much bigger deal than an engaged guy getting drunk and kissing some random chick. Imho.  And, I would not be surprised to find out the random chick in question was sent into the bar by Bravo and Andy to produce exactly this drama. And that photos were then taken which were sent to old Bethy to give her the favorable edit, and let her loose to trash Lu. I think it's ugly and I'm not buying what they're selling.

Thank you for putting into words what I suspected as well. Phoney as hell.

  2. I've been very fond of clothes and fashion since a young age.  I am loving the wedding dress shopping for Jinger on this thread! I didn't realize how many beautiful options she has. You all have set the bar very high and I will be bitterly disappointed if she walks down the aisle sporting a tee shirt/strapless gown ensemble.

Perfect! I just don't have the patience to watch this crap, even if I wanted to. And I really don't.

I'm afraid I have to agree with you. The courtship rules, cheesy ass proposal, cheap ass parking lot wedding...ugh. I can't do it.

I still have The Dullards & Seewalds weddings on my VCR. (Don't ask me why). I was watching the Dullards last nite & have question about Josie licking her fingers. I'm sure this has been asked before & I'm not snarking on her, but wonder if her finger licking is a sign of autism or something else developmental? She was shown licking her fingers when the flower girls were sitting on the steps during the ceremony.  This was when Boob & Mullet were laughing at her & other flower girls rolling around instead  of paying attention to the ceremony. Is the finger licking used as a comfort destressor type of thing for her?  If so, that would explain a lot  with this family. Any one out there know about autism or child development?

    It is not autism.

  5. The 70's...oh, some of the best times of my life. I loved everything about Shannon's party but am I the only one who thinks they needed a bigger crowd? It seemed like a huge place for all of about 20 people.  I may have spent too much time drinking beer and disco dancing in crowded fraternity basements, but damn, it was fun!

  6. Accutane--strong stuff-- side effects---but was truly a wonder drug for my two children. From what I remember, my daughter had to jump thru hoops to get the prescription---it causes severe birth defects---so probably not a good option for the female Duggars.

She's the only Duggar who will have a fun honeymoon. Jill and Derrick were probably all teeth and awkward, jerky limbs...  Ben was probably that fake sentimental crap as Jessa tried to not be as obvious as she watched herself in the Hampton Inn hotel room mirror.

    Omg. Can I unread this?

  8. We haven't talked about JD lately. Do you all think there is any hope for him to have a real job, someone to love, and a shred of independence? I wonder if Boob has even made it known in Fundyland that JD is available. He's not going to get by on his looks, but I feel sorry for him.  He is a lost soul and doesn't seem to have much to look forward to. What a miserable life.

  9. I don't believe for one minute that Jeremy was a friend of Jessa & Ben. I haven't had the patience to read his blog or watch his videos, but my theory is he knew of Jinger, probably from watching 19k&c. He got in touch with Rim Job or maybe a mutual fundy person and the arrangements were made. I don't think Jinger had any choice, and my heart goes out to her. She's so young and fragile.

  10. I don't know about the Fundie or insurance thing, but I think some of it's also an age group thing. I know they don't have a whole lot of exposure to other people, but even if it's just social media they probably see that it's a trendy thing now. It seems like half the people I know under 30 or so are big into the home births, water births, babywearing, co-sleeping, etc. - though I think they all use real certified nurse midwives.

Not so sure about that. As the mom of 2 young adults in their 20's, it seems more like the crunchy crowd is into that but many millennials want very high quality care in hospitals that provide nice perks and state of the art equipment .

  11. Regarding Bella's DUI: Yolanda claimed that when it happened, the first thing she told Bella was that she loves her unconditionally, no matter what, how sympathetic she was, yada yada. I am the mother of two young adults. If one of them had a DUI at the age of 17, I would have had a few more "choice" words, along with severe consequences. So is that the Beverly Hills culture or is Yo just a whack job and Bella is a spoiled princess?

I know that was last season, but it's come up a few times and I think it's total bullshit.

I miss him, too. Watching that made me realize how much more entertaining PR was. He was great.
