Grey's Anatomy in the Media: Incident Reporting

I can't imagine being as invested as she and her writing partner are or were. when I read her name here and saw the tumblr post I wasn't surprised that she reacted to the recent interviews in that way. -

Gravedancer was a former fanfic writer -all mer/der all the time I believe she and her writing partner also stepped into Ellen and Patrick fanfic, like cheating on thier spouses fanfic. She may not be a teen but has been obsessed with this pairing for years and years now. i recall reading their stuff back in the abc forums and greys fansites years and years ago. I loved that couple was a fan of them from the start and hate how the his last episode was written but I'm not offended by these new Ellen interviews at all. The cast is moving forward as they should and as patrick has. -

While I agree that bens brother storyline might have just been tossed aside I do believe that there were statements from shines and co that some stories had to be dropped unexpectedly(Alex and Jo) due to reworking of other storylines -

I don't think this one tweet is reflective of her addressing fans, that headline came from the media outlets that picked it up. Shes been telling the overzealous tweeters to peace out for years upon years. In terms of her explanation as to why Derek dies when she had to write out Dempsey I think the answer is clear in that the Derek she created and wrote for 11 seasons would not willingly abandon his wife and children endlessly. Could he have been presumed dead and turn up later? Well I suppose so but when you fire someone you don't often say look I'm firing you now and writing you out buuuuut in X years when we end this show can you pop in to meet back up with Meredith and the kids? I think the dropped storyline for Ben's brother, callies new officer boyfriend and even storylines for Alex and Jo were abruptly ended or dropped due to the drama with Patrick's firing , reworking of the end of the season and what seems to have been an unexpected suspension(the dropped DC story being picked back up) I think the cheating bit was started as a way to set up Derek's deep love of his wife and family before he left, reminding you in a way that this guy wouldn't leave his wife(this wife) and kids unless something like death forced him to. -
Abc always announces the upcoming schedule but that Greys would be renewed for a 12th season was a lock and a given , there was no worry or fretting about that. But I do think the time jump episode and this episode did work together as a soft reboot.

That is actually why they can make stuff up... because they don't attach the name and can attach it to anyone. Ted casablanca formerly of Eonline was a big blind gossip person. he had this gossipy bit about toothy tyle a gay actor posing as straight who had even gone so far adopting a child with his male lover even though he was married to a female actress. It was long speculated the jake gylenhall was part of that equation. it went on for years never proven but Ted kept pushing his tale, He was eventually let go from E because he included an actor name unitentionally in a piece of blind gossip. -

yes, the tabloid benefits from the customer/reader curiosity and a voyeuristic nature. Its why they sell millions upon millions of tabloids world wide. Its bad here in the US and well as in Europe. Actually tabloid journalism in the UK even led to celebrity wire tapping. It just a different way to make money, then there are the non celeb tabloids that prey upon people who really believe that alien babies have been born etc. -

because in stories they often lay out a good guy/bad guy scenario. -

Anyone who want clicks on their site to drive ad funds or has magazines to sell. Its why tabs are always saying one celebrity or another are pregnant, sometimes an actress eats a burrito and next thing you know shes on the cover on the Enquirer with a a baby on the way headline and years later still zero babies, same goes with domestic shake ups, loss movie jobs etc. Its just baiting. Or who knows maybe there was an debacle with a staffer and she sold the story. This happens all the time to politicians , actors, actresses. -

You know that radar does not work for ABC Shondaland right? most tabs make up the majority of their stories on their own. They will occasional stumble on to something real but for the most part they take celebs and people of interest that are currently popular and then roll along with whatever concoction they want. If they were leaking tales they would go with more valid publications. They could have certainly dropped info to People magazine, even US weekly with as much trash as it covers usually has valid sources. US weekly is often the first to report on celeb break ups, divorces and all things ugly because people sell the stories to them and they chase the story. If there is a bit of celeb gossip and it's from the enquirer, intouch, radar, hollywoodlife or crazydaysandnights I pay it no mind-if its coming from US, eonline TMZ or People well then it may very well be true. -

I think she is guessing that Eric and sandra each had affairs. Wasn't Sandra divorced for the majority of her time on the show anyway? or did she remarry after Alexander Payne? -

http://www.buzzfeed.com/tahliapritchard/callie-o-malley#.egb8AggJE Some lighthearted media coverage. The thing is we dont know if he was diva or causing disturbances on set, there are two sets of thoughts here 1, evil Shonda killed Derek maligned Dempsey and owes us an apology. 2. Patrick in some way caused the show runners to let him go and write him out, the cause is being kept private for one reason or another. But we don't know which is right and which is wrong or if it some version of both. It has not been proven that he caused issues on set but it has not been proven that he didn't. And a statement from his PR rep that he isn't a diva can't really by used and end all statement of truth, she is paid to be on his side and represent him as best as possible and with a PR reps that involves a fair amount of denials and even lies. -

" Doubtful, especially in Hollywood. If (any I am not saying there is) there's any shred of truth in it there would have to be some element of harassment - something that had legal grounds as a basis." I do think this is just internet gossip made up by the tabs. But yes you can get fired for that. There are sexual harassment laws as well as contract morality clauses. And if there was activity that made other employees uncomfortable a person could get fired for that. That said i don't relieve anything Intouch publishes ever. In terms of where this gossip is coming from (because someone mentioned it up thread) this stuff frequently comes from the tabs themselves- Derek dies tons of people are talking about Greys and dempsey sudden departure the tabs then make up a story around that drama to sell their magazines. While some negative things can be leaked by camps (tmz getting reports about his ego reagarding the divorce likely came from his wife and her legal team's camp)-doesn't mean it's true but it's what that camp is selling. The other side of tabloid gossip is not leaks or studio sources but made up shit, like how many babies has Jennifer Aniston been pregnant according to intouch and the enquire?r a dozen at least. No one is leaking that is just made up.
