For sure bad directing for showing her make that same face so many times.
I agree that they were hitting us over the head with that. This show is usually more subtle.

Speaking of foreshadowing, they kinda made a big deal out of Andy getting ownership of the Johnny Karate name in "Gryzzlbox." I expect to see that revisited next week.

Leslie had just gotten the promotion that sent her to DC, it would've been awkward even if it was just for two months. Also, I was expecting April to get it. Turning 30 was what kicked off her arc this season, right?
"Johnny Karate" was pure self indulgence, but I loved it anyway. And this is coming from a guy who hated it when The Office did the same thing ("Threat Level Midnight").
One more week. *Sigh*

Just watched that garbage finale. I literally laughed out loud when Margaret said "Okay, give me the gun, you can leave." And they did. And the same mob that overpowered three men were somehow unable to do it again. Good riddance to this show.

After you say goodbye to Pawnee on Feb. 24, you can watch a reunion of the Parks and Recreation cast later in the evening on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
All eight cast members—Amy Poehler, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Jim O’Heir, and Retta—and co-creator Michael Schur will spend the full hour with Meyers (Poehler’s former “Weekend Update” co-host), reliving seven seasons of memories and discusssing the series finale, which airs on NBC at 10 p.m. that night.
This Parks-centric installment of Late Night, which can be seen at 12:35 a.m., also serves as Meyers’ one-year anniversary show.- 8

I thought this episode was pretty funny. In fact, I really feel like the show has found its legs over the last few weeks, starting with "Spoil Me."
I'm just gonna enjoy it while it's still on the air.

the final run of episodes has been awkwardly paced
I put that on the scheduling, nothing more.

It was nice to be able to fully digest an episode, without jumping right into the next one. I don't binge-watch Parks, so the pacing of the season has felt a little off to me.
Next week, I'll watch the 8:00 episode on Tuesday and the 8:30 on Wednesday. Which is probably what I should've been doing all along.

I think this might've been my favorite episode of the season. Drunk Ben and Leslie are awesome.

About sums it up for me.as much as I liked S1, this just felt like a CBS procedural wearing better makeup.

It seems like they are racing through the plot this season.
Yeah, this is where the 2 episodes/week scheduling hurts the show.

I think it's being set up that April runs for Dexhart's city council seat. The show made such a big point of showing she moved to his district and reminded the audience that he's terrible.
The upcoming episode titles seem to lend credence to this theory.

there is no way Leslie would have been able to poach the entire Parks staff.
She didn't.
She took April and Jerry. And gave Andy a part-time job.

I was a little underwhelmed by last week's episodes, but they knocked it out of the park tonight.
I lol'd at the "Lil Sebastian" janitor callback: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHNUSxA3AL4

I hope "Leslie and Ron" closes out that plotline because I don't want it taking over the entire season.
When I saw the episode description, I figured that it would.
However, this points out the problem with the 2 episode/week burnoff. In a normally scheduled season, the Leslie/Ron feud would take place over a month. If "Leslie and Ron" turns out to be the end of that arc, it ends a week after we find out about it.

I'd tolerate having Mona Lisa on the show full-time if it meant we never had to see Councilman Jamm or Crazy Ira and the Douche ever again.
Love Crazy Ira and the Douche. Spot on shock jock parody.
Love the Derry Murbles public radio stuff, too.

OK, to me this is the episode where the series really clicked into place and I liked it without reservation. Everybody was funny (even Dennah), the banter buzzed along, seeds were planted early that paid off later... it was just really fun and satisfying.
I agree. Easily the most enjoyable episode of the season.

The Hootie & The Blowfish thing kinda threw me. Because yeah, Mouse Rat sounds a lot like Hootie & The Blowfish. Which had never occurred to me before.

"Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," which Netflix acquired from NBC late last year, will debut on Friday, March 6; created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, it stars Ellie Kemper from "The Office" as a woman who has just been rescued from a doomsday cult and tries to start her life over in New York City. It's funny.

Yeah, I saw that last night while watching a couple of S4 repeats.
On a related note, seeing platinum blonde Leslie in reruns can be jarring.
