  1. Sky and JT are just the most adorable. Also, apparently according to Instagram, Alexis is visiting Sky in Tokyo. The bond between Sky/Alan/Alexis is just so adorable. In the video, Sky tackles Alexis with hugs. Like, literally knocks her over onto a couch and just hugs her to death. SO cute. Kenzie is great, but she really, really should have been on the adult version of the show. She's like the dance version of when you go home from college for the holidays, and you're STILL sitting at the kids' table. That's Kenzie.
  2. Eh, it's just like American Idol. At the end of the day, the winner is the person with the most rabid fanbase, and as the seasons wore on, there will only be male winners. Seriously, look at AI, and you'll see what I mean. It's because the people who watch these shows are women, and women don't tend to vote for other women. They vote for men. The only time AI was able to get a female winner in the later seasons was by vastly rigging the entire process to produce that desired result. Also, if DWTS has predominately the same demographic as AI, most viewers are in the South, and Bobby was born and raised in Arkansas (who are fiercely proud people and propelled Kris Allen to a win over Queen frontman Adam Lambert), spent a decade in Austin, TX, and then moved to Nashville and is syndicated nationwide for his country music show. He IS DWTS' quintessential demographic. Also, being happy that people through no fault of their own are being so relentlessly bullied online that they have to sign off is disgusting. Regardless of anything, Bobby and Sharna are people who did nothing but play by the rules, put in the same work as everyone else, and people responded to them. They did not personally hurt you specifically or really and truly negatively affect your life. Your disappointment in the outcome is not their fault. It says way more about you than them that you condone cyberbullying. It's a reality show. It ain't that deep. If you want a real dance competition, go find a local one on the weekends to attend. This is, and always will be, a reality show.
  3. I feel like people are assuming Bobby is just some dumb country DJ, but he spent the vast majority of his career hosting our local Top 40 station here in Austin, and did a damn good job of it. Austin may be in Texas, but we're also the most liberal city in Texas, and he was far, far from being some dumb hick. He was so beloved by us, that TONS of people who didn't even like country tuned in to our local country station just to follow him. He has an enormous following. Millions of people grew up with him, and listened to him every day on their way to work, school, etc... I'm not surprised he won. He's had a very devoted fanbase LONG before DWTS. He's one of Austin's hometown heroes.
  4. I think in a super subtle way, she did. There were cherry blossoms all over the stage, and Sky's dress had cherry blossoms on it. Those are ubiquitous with Japan.
  5. I think that as much as it sucks, the abortion storyline is one that actually makes sense given the circumstances and the character, and one which they haven't explored. For all the moaning about Scully not having body autonomy, this would be the one time she *would* have that. She seemed way less than thrilled about the pregnancy, and so did Mulder. Probably because she knows how and why William and Emily were conceived, fears she was violated once again, and watched two of her children die violent, horrible deaths. Does she dare try a 3rd time, or not?
  6. The answer is... 42. No, but really, I think we'll get a Season 12 with Mulder and the new baby, William (I think he was actually fantastic this episode, and would pull in a younger audience if he was more regularly featured), and I think they'll convince Gillian to do a few guest spots here and there.
  7. I do wonder if Baby 2.0 is also ~special, not because she (I'm going with it's a girl) was a lab experiment like William, but because of Scully's alien DNA. If Season 12 gets picked up, I wonder if the hunt will be on for Baby 2.0 if they can't catch William. Also, when do we think Scully knew she was preggers? I kinda think it was during "Followers" when she was just lounging around rubbing her belly in the chair, and especially in "Nothing," when she was lighting all those candles. The symbolism of the one candle going out, and Scully commenting that maybe it was a sign really struck me. I think she was contemplating abortion, and that's why she went to Church like 3 times in a week. She was asking God for forgiveness for what she was about to do, or the strength to carry the child, which led to her conversation with Mulder. I also noticed that she took the wine during Communion, which most pregnant women don't do. Maybe that's why she wasn't totally freaked out when she fell down the garbage chute. She wasn't yet sure if she wanted to keep the baby, but when Mulder assured her that he would always be there with her, she made her decision.
  8. Awww dangit. Now I want a Season 12, even if it's all just Scully being a happily pregnant doctor or professor, with Mulder as the Stay-At-Home Dad, who dotes on her constantly, and William popping in now and then to check in on them, and holding his brand new baby sister. I'd watch that :) We didn't get that at all for Scully's first pregnancy, so I want it now. Buttttt if this is indeed GA's last episode, I can't see how they do it unless they make Scully die in childbirth, which, given her age, isn't out of the realm of possibility.
  9. Random, but as a relatively young (mid 30's) person who spent their entire school life in Catholic schools, and later went on to spend years working for Catholic schools, I noticed some glaring irregularities. Mass in the X-Files did not follow any kind of existing Catholic structure. The Mass has very specific words and prayers that are said, and this was very much not that. I've also never experienced Communion in a Catholic Church using a tiny cup. The accepted tradition is to use a Chalice.
  10. I think it's pretty apparent that FOX is bringing the show back, with or without Gillian. Everything has been all about the Season Finale, not the Series Finale, and I don't think FOX would kill such an iconic show without announcing it as the actual last season/episode. FWIW, I think Gillian will cave, and will come back. She always does.
  11. I think if the X-Files continues, watch for William and Mulder to be the main stars of the show. William can bring in the younger audience, and Mulder is the tie to the new audience.
  12. Is Gillian a heavy smoker? That's the other thing that could cause that hoarse/gravely voice that she's had recently. It's super distracting. She had such a beautiful speaking voice in the original run. This isn't due to age, this is damage (IMO). Now whether that's due to Streetcar, smoking, perhaps a struggle with an ED (it's possible. We don't know her), is unknown, but IMO she's damaged her vocal chords somehow.
  13. Here's the Ghouli.net entry where William/Jackson wrote about his experience with the yellow gas. Sounds like this was an updated version of the MK NAOMI gas, which is what they alluded to in the show tonight. The Van de Kamps sound like godawful people for letting the government experiment on William like that. I still say they paid the VDK's off for access to William, hence the massive house in Virginia after being on a farm in the middle of nowhere Wyoming. https://ghouli.net/2017/10/24/your-imploding-cells/ An excerpt:
  14. So to tie it all in to the likely Finale and William, if you read ghouli.net, you know that William was also exposed to the exact same gas that Skinner/Kitten were, but he had no reaction to it, and he was a CHILD. In fact, he's basically like the gas himself - he can make OTHER people see whatever he wants (like ghouli) at will. William/Jackson also mentions in his blogs that he grew up in a glass room, and was subjected to those tests. With the DOD trying to get him, it makes me think that William is the ultimate weapon that the government wants as part of its master plan.
  15. There's been a really noticeable lack of spoilers for Kitten.
