  1. Do you think season twelve will provide all the answers as well as the key to everything?
  2. What a horrible episode, and insulting as well.
  3. I really liked this one. It's probably my favorite after "Ghouli", although there's a gap between them. To be clear, overall it's just OK, nothing more than that, and pales in comparison to XF greats, but within the revival itself it's good. I enjoyed it 10x more than "Familiar".
  4. Final adjusted ratings for episode nine: 0.7 demo / 3.01 million viewers. https://www.spoilertv.com/2018/03/final-adjusted-tv-ratings-for-wednesday_15.html
  5. Alright, here we go: * * * - Skinner gets killed by CSM, run over with a car. - Reyes gets killed by William, he makes her head explode. - Several bad guys die by William making their heads explode. - Erika Price gets shot in the head and dies. - Mr. Y gets shot in the head and dies. - The episode ends like this: It appears that Mulder gets shot, but it's actually William manipulating reality. Mulder and Scully believe William is dead, but then we see him pop out of the river with a bullet in his head, alive. The thing is, they don't know that, and that's how it ends. And Scully herself never actually gets to meet him nor speak to him in the episode. * * * Now go watch the trailer carefully, and pay attention to certain shots by hitting pause and here and there.
  6. Because the spoilers are pretty shocking, it is perhaps best to spread them through private messages or something. I'm assuming Tardislass already sent you the link? Anyway, after you read the spoilers, and then watch the trailer, and analyze certain shots in the trailer, you will see that there is a very high chance they are accurate. The source who provided the spoilers is a person who revealed very specific details to "Plus One" all the way back in December when we didn't know anything. They also posted these finale spoilers before the trailer was released, not after. They also deleted almost everything they posted later, but people were able to retrieve it through "removeddit". It would be cool if a moderator could say whether it'd be OK to just post all the spoilers right in this thread.
  7. This new trailer pretty much confirms the recent spoilers, the most shocking ones on Reddit, from the source who spilled the beans on Plus One way back in December. You can find them on Twitter. If someone needs a link I'll post them. But yeah... there are no words to describe some of the things that will almost certainly happen in the finale. Truly beyond words. Even though I think of the revival as nothing but a joke, I still can't wrap my head around something from the finale spoilers. If true, just wow. Is it allowed to post the link or just paste everything right into this thread?
  8. I appreciate the idea but not the execution. There was no need for the completely out-of-character portrayals and abysmal continuity. The episode indicates that Mulder and Scully are nothing more than props to 1013. Scully's "high-tech" home is only there because it fits the completely self-contained individual plot of the episode. It is also implied Mulder was never at her house, which makes no sense. Continuity is completely irrelevant at this point. Was it really that difficult to have Daggoo in her home? How about anything at all that tells you it's Scully's place? No, instead we got a vibrator. Fine. There are just so many things that are wrong. And four episodes away from the series finale, this one does not advance anything. I did enjoy it much more than "Kitten" though.
  9. Important update. Australia will have a break as well:
  10. Which is more or less what I said. Re-hashed themes, but in terms of quality incomparable IMO.
  11. Because he's a good actor and deserved better than to be part of a very bad X-Files episode. In my view, of course. And I have to lol @ some comments outside this forum comparing it to "Sleepless" and "Blood". Aside from some rehashed themes, the quality is really incomparable. Those two episodes are spectacular.
  12. I didn't like this episode. It had some OK moments and that's that. Aside from some quality directing, the rest was quite mediocre. To each their own as always. I also feel really bad for Osment being part of this. Looking very forward to episode eight though. Episode seven not so much.
  13. No, not everyone loves the episode. The majority does, but not everyone. You will find fans who call it one of the worst episodes of the entire series. It's a different opinion, so what? The fandom exists outside of this forum you know. And no, not every critic loves it either. See here: http://www.tracking-board.com/the-x-files-review-the-lost-art-of-forehead-sweat/ What you're saying about IMDb is false as well. Currently "Ghouli" rates higher, although that may change. There was also a significant ratings drop after "Forehead Sweat". I can also give you plenty of tweets from people who despised it. Look, bias plays a huge role. Dislike for what CC has done with the revival plus love for Darin's original XF episodes, and what you get as a result is many people praising literally anything by Darin Morgan. He could make an episode with a blank screen for 42 minutes and some people would call it brilliant IMO. There are people including myself who enjoyed My Struggle III more than Forehead Sweat. So what? You're a fan of the series, and I'm a fan of the series. Different tastes, and different influences. If you feel "disrespected" by my opinion then feel free to use the forum's ignore feature.
  14. On Channel 5, The X Files returned with fewer than a million viewers as just 800,000 tuned in to the start of the new series. https://tellymix.co.uk/ratings/350536-ratings-silent-witness-next-kin-x-files-soap-viewing-figures.html 2016 rating for MS1 were 3.35 million.
