    Aaron: Which flavor?
    Villanelle: Mmm, orange.
Aaron: I told them to get rid of the orange ones.
    Villanelle: I like orange chocolate.
    Aaron: It's disgusting.

Well, now we know who the real psychopath is!  I mean, orange chocolate really is yummy.

But the show’s deficiencies have finally worn me down. I’m tired of the nonstop mediocre country singers. I’m tired of superior black singers being voted off because they’re black. I’m tired of precocious teens being voted through because they’re cute.

30 Helens Agree with me! ;)

  3. Ugh. First Kelly picks Jej and then John picks Celia? Those are the LAST 2 I would have thought deserved saving. This show must have a really high yokel viewership since Blake's team gets through so easily. Whenever someone does a country song I just mute the TV and read until it's over.

  4. Well, THAT was totally unfair to the remaining contestants who now have none of the saves or steals left (or maybe just one - I lost track what with all the coaches losing their minds and hitting their buzzers for just about every contestant). Why were they saving so many mediocre singers from this week? And I just KNOW that next week, one or all of them will be whining, "I wish I had a steal left - you're so good and you deserve to stay, blah blah blah ". By using their saves the first time one of their singers wasn't voted through, they're telling everyone else on their team that they're not as worthy. I don't like this new format at all.

  5. I noticed that Betsy changed a line in You Oughta Know ('make out with you' in a theater LOL) and I wondered if it was the network or the show producers that made her change it, or if it was her decision.

  6. I'm a bit late to the party here, but I can't help weighing in when I see that I reacted so differently to a lot of people posting. I think Beth is being very selfish, as usual. She chose to be a mother of 3, and if her kids need her, then she should be there for them and not spend all her evenings trying to recapture her youth with this dance stuff. Randall was elected, so he can hardly quit. It's Beth's responsibility as the parent without a real job to actually do some parenting, and not expect them to waste money they don't have hiring a substitute. Beth is someone who thinks her own desires should take precedence over everyone else's needs. She's lucky Randall has put up with her crap all this time, but in his eyes she can do no wrong.

  7. This show has taken a nosedive. I had to bail about halfway through. Couldn't take any more of whiny self-indulgent Bonnie and annoying incompetent Tammy. Rainn Wilson was the only watchable part of the show. I've been enjoying a lot of the reruns of the early seasons, when the show was so good. Where have all the good comedies gone?

Anyways - I don't know why they keep harping on that one point of Feo thinking she could have been queen.  Ridiculous!

George IV was apparently quite taken with the young Feo, and it is possible that he could have married her, making her Queen Consort. But Feo's mother put a stop to it and married her off to the German prince. That's why Feo is shown to be so bitter and feeling that she could have been Queen instead.

  9. This really does check all the boxes for American network television -- sassy precocious kid who is Very Important; boring angsty guy who makes bad decisions, has a complicated relationship with an ex-wife, and can't act his way out of a paper bag; shooting deaths of random poor schmucks without so much as a shrug, because they are Not Important; and as much blood as they think they can get away with. Yeccccch.

  10. Looks like I made the right decision to not bother watching yesterday or tonight. They should just rename the show "Redneck America's Favorite White Singer". Chevel looks and sounds like an  inbred southern pageant toddler who never learned any other moves.

  11. Buh-bye, Reagan (and Adam). Don't let the door hit your no-talent ass on the way out.

Chevel in the finale and not Sarah Grace is a travesty. I won't be watching. (even though it would be lovely to see Adam sitting there like a useless lump).  More time for football.

  12. Has everyone in this show forgotten how to act? I stopped watching after the first couple of eps this season but made the mistake last night of trying again (mainly because there was absolutely nothing else on). It's actually gotten WORSE. I can't understand how this show, with most of the same people, used to be so good and is now so very, very bad.

  13. How much time passed between the end of the last ep and the beginning of this one? We went from an outline of a cabin in the dirt to a fully furnished home with all the amenities of the day. They must be miracle workers.

I had to laugh because the inside walls of their cabin look exactly like a couple of the walls in my TV room (which I have never been a fan of). With the fireplace and all the wood, it almost felt like I was there.

I didn't recognize Murtagh at all when Ian first spoke to him, so his reunion with Jamie was a complete surprise.

  14. Didn't Roger tell someone that Brianna is studying engineering at MIT? So why on earth would he expect her to give that up to marry him right away and have lots of babies? You don't get an engineering degree just for the fun of it. She's obviously career-minded.

Not like Violet was a perfect angel (teen pregnancy, dropping out of college, working in a casino, could have a substance abuse herself...)

Also, there was that time she scammed some guy out of thousands of dollars by pretending she was going to marry him so he could get a green card.

I haven't missed Violet at all since I never liked her abrasive personality. I do miss Roscoe and Baxter, though.

  16. Fell asleep in the first minute again last night (strange how this show manages to put me to sleep so easily!), so I ended up watching just now. The main benefit to that is I got to FF thru the comeback performances after the first 10 seconds of each. They were really bad. That was an experiment that should never be repeated. They got no chairs to turn for a reason. Also didn't have to watch BsB or the other guy I have no idea who he was. Didn't like most of the choices but I figured Chevel would get voted in by......who exactly voted for her, anyway? The deaf? Teens? Dumbasses? Also knew Adam would save his bro Tyke.

  17. I prefer the previous years' format of splitting the top 24 into 2 nights and then having the results on a third night. This seemed rushed to me. I thought Blake's team was the strongest and Adam's the weakest (particularly Tyke and faux Affleck), and I like Sarah Grace more than ever and still dislike Chevel, but I fell asleep partway through Jennifer's team, so I'll have to watch those again.

  18. I thought Colton was awful and his song choice was terrible. So cheesy and over-the-top. I was stunned when Jennifer stole him. WTF? So many more talented singers were available and she went for THAT?

  19. Minority opinion here - I liked the "America the Beautiful" at the end, I thought it really drove home the wide gulf between the so-called "American Dream" and stark reality, no matter what century you're in.

I never thought I'd say this, but I didn't enjoy this episode as much as I thought I would. I've only read book 1, so I'm unspoiled for all the subsequent seasons, and when we saw Bonnet, I just knew where they were going with that. I had hopes that they were going to surprise me, but no. Once again, Claire and Jamie can't have a day's peace without being attacked. It's (dare I say it?) getting a little tiresome.

  20. Judging from the other comments, this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I HATED this episode. It was a pale and unfunny imitation of all the great Roseanne Halloween eps of the past, and the PC BS made it unwatchable for me. I won't be watching any more.
