  1. It was kind of funny in that normally you have the drama of one tattooer saying "your tattoo was crap" and the second tattooer replies, "mines not crap, yours is crap". It was the opposite in this one with each person pointing out which tattoo/s in the marathon they felt they failed on.
  2. When the girls were talking at the start about there needing to be a second female ink master it was the death knell for one of the guys not making the finale. And I fear poor Jason will not be the season 12 winner. I think if you really wanted to be evil in giving someone a really bad style they should choose one of the weird ones they get thrown each year. Hey Laura you are doing a cross stitch back piece, Dani you have pixelated and Jason you have to do cross stitch, pixelated, trash polka, watercolor traditional Japanese portrait.
  3. I feel Jake should have won tattoo of the day. They said Dani got all the details right but I though she got the shape of the mouth wrong but the judges said it was perfect. I thought the men did way better in the flash challenge but for some reason I thought the judges were going to give it to the women and I was going to swear at the tv.
  4. I think that makes it look worse. Now it looks like the eagle has smashed on the ground and there are blood splatters. I felt any of the bottom 3 tattoos could have gone home, but agree with you that Dani being one of the last two females meant she was staying and Cam's string of trips to the bottom lately meant it was going to be him.
  5. I think that Cam should have gone home because he didn't meet the challenge with his second 2 tattoos. But if you are going to say Cam should go home because of how bad his first tattoo, you have to remember Holli's first tattoo was that house with a the crooked lines. If you are comparing first tattoos then Holli is a clear worst tattoo worthy of going home.
  6. To be fair a few guys, and girls went home when it should have been Ash.
  7. I thought Jake should have been safe. I thought the koala was ok but I thought the ship was one of the best tattoos of the day. Holly has been middle of the road the whole competition, no great loss that she left as she wouldn't have made the final. But I too am a little annoyed that they outline a challenge and then decide it on technical application. IMO the 2 women left are the 2 strongest tattooers there so it wouldn't surprise me if the next 3 to go are men.
  8. I was totally amazed with the end products that both teams produced, they were outstanding. The judging on the other hand. It is detail day, I actually like the women's piece better than the men's but on detail day the men's should have won because it had more detail. And then I agree that Janelle should have gone home, but why did the judging suddenly come down to technical application? If they had said Janelle you were successful in the cover up but your tattoo lacks detail, there is no fur texture, then I would have been happy. But to decide it on technical application when it is not technical application day makes no sense.
  9. I think you will find it is the opposite, she has struggled most of the competition but has done well the past few weeks including getting a tattoo of the day 2 weeks ago.
  10. Wow how Alexis went home over Janelle I will never know.
  11. I disagree in that Ash's tattoo had no composition. It was just three objects put together with no flow or relationship to each other. It was just a skull on the bottom, handcuffs floating on the side and a flag at the back. The teams obviously had to be evened up as you saw at the flash challenge how much a difference the women having 2 extra people made.
  12. I would love to hear why the canvases actually want the tattoo, why did that guy want a rat in a space ship beaming up a wizard? Why was that guy so set on getting a horse riding a cowboy? I would just love a bit of backstory on some of the weird ideas.
  13. Oh and my favorite line in the episode was Ashley saying "There is no way she is getting a whole goth fairy". I just love the shock of contestants at some of the simple requests.
  14. I actually agree with the judging, I thought Cam used cross stitch in a artistic way that made his tattoo look better. While Dani did a 100% cross stitch tattoo that was well executed I can't help but think the tattoo would have looked better if it wasn't cross stitch. If it was just realistic roses I think it would have looked better. I was the opposite and thought well they will want Sausage in the final so sorry boys one of you is going home....but I was wrong 😄
  15. Remember back to episode 1 when Pon asked the girls if they would like to come and help clean up, fast forward to this week and he is saying that these are 7 of the most talented women he has ever met. The editing is weird on this show.
  16. Who would you have picked? Pon (was safe) Creepy Jason Cam Jake Fon Tito (already chosen) Maybe Creepy Jason but he has put up some solid tattoos. Cam, Jake and Fon are 3 of the strongest artists in the house imo. I think Ash might have been a good pick.
  17. I was baffled by the decision of Justin going home, I thought he clearly had the best tattoo out of the three, but then Dave said "Congratulations DJ you will be tattooing in the finale" and then it all made sense,
  18. It does seem like a safety net just in case the contestants were boring to have returning players to talk to camera. I thought the standard of the tattoos improved from last week, not much else to say.
  19. Not much to say about that episode other than the standard doesn't seem to be very high so far. So if they are bringing back past contestants as captains, are they going to have enough females? Off the top of my head I can think of 6 who I think deserve it but then I think it will just be well she made it half way through the competition.
  20. Rick was the biggest threat in the game, while he did have the most votes, so the idol would have been played "correctly", it was a bad move because she would be saving the biggest threat in the game. To me it doesn't really change the Rick narrative as Rick would just revealed at the next tribal council that he had an HII, he could have saved himself but is able to use it now. It would change the Lauren narrative as she made a confusing move to save the biggest threat in the game. If she had saved it and played it on herself at final 5 she would have played it correctly and made final 4.
  21. After Rick got voted out I didn't really care that much who won as the remaining 3 were all pretty uninspiring. But hats off to Chris, he had a much better final tribal that the other 2. Gavin and Julie really need to listen to the question and think about what what would impress the jury. What big moves did you play? Gavin: I formed relationships Julie: I was emontional The jury hears - we both did nothing Why do you think you should win? Gavin: I am not playing the game for you guys, I am playing it for my family. Julie: I know I didn't make aggressive moves like you guys but why does that mean I can't win? The jury hears - seriously we both did nothing.
  22. EoE seems to be generally agreed to be a terrible concept, I just thought of an idea that could have made it a little more interesting. I am not sure if it is a good idea or not but thought I would share it. When you are voted to EoE you then have to nominate someone still in the game. Your fate is then tied to that person, and if the nominated person is voted to EoE, you are then sent home/put on the jury (depending on what stage of the game they are at). I just thought it could be interesting to see another level of strategy and who people pick to tie their fate too, it would also probably mean that you wouldn't have so many people on EoE as some would actually get eliminated.
  23. At the immunity challenge when Victoria said to Jeff, "I'm playing too Jeff", I thought to myself, that is a perfect description of the edit you are getting. Because she has been on the right side of every vote means she is involved in the decision making is one interpretation of what might be happening. Others could be: - she has little influence over the vote but is very perceptive and votes with the majority to try and not be on the outs - she just votes for whoever the majority tells her to. Victoria and Lauren could be doing far more than we are seeing, or they could be doing very little which would explain why they have never been on the chopping block because they are not seen as threats.
  24. I am not totally sold that there is some conspiracy that gifts idols to certain players, but I totally agree with you that the way they rehide the idol right after tribal is ruining the game. To me the HII should be rare so that when it is pulled out it is a substantial event that can change the course of the game, not a crutch that a players pulls it out tribal after tribal to get them self to the end. There is a large element of luck in finding a HII, for something so powerful I think maybe there should be some cost or risk associated with it.
