Kyle is absolutely insufferable.  Have we had an episode yet where he hasn't yelled at someone, fought with someone, rewritten history, and/or passed the blame?

So Jess gets Luka in her and now she's become a judgey little brat?  Maybe I'm wrong but if memory serves, the first night they went out she got tanked and was late/slow moving the next day.  Not to mention that someone (i.e, Tumi and Natalya) had to train her so what's with the attitude about not liking or wanting to have to train Lily?

If I remember correctly, Jess got so drunk and sick that she missed a charter.  She was sent to the hospital.  Maybe Jess does not want to train Lily, because she herself is is not sure of what she is doing.

I was going to post the same thing!  I mean damn Whitney, Lisa sent you flowers and expressed her condolences but I guess it doesn't count if it's done off camera.  Then you can't do your "I'm so sad but I'm going to make the sacrifice and party with you all because Sheri would have wanted me to" shtick in full makeup and party dress.  Puh-leeze!

Maybe Lisa should have sent her a casserole.

  3. If any middle age men ask the women to strip, then Sandy better also. After all, Captain Jason wore a speedo and took one for the team.  Never mind.  I would never want to look at Sandy.

Count me in as someone with no interest in those water toys.

No eggs outside.  Did the primary lay awake at night to think of that one?

Yeah what the hell did he think was going to happen to him if he spilled hot soup all over the Duke? He'd surely be fired. And it's not like he could get a job working for the Wintertons, since Mr. Winterton was right there to witness it.

No, technically Agnes is still the matriarch. She holds the purse strings.

On this show, but would she have in real life?

The scene felt off. It was like the two white guys didn't belong in the scene. It felt like they were doing too much in the part.

Rather than appearing as convincing characters, they seemed like characters portrayed by actors who are trying to be convincing characters, and I wasn't convinced.

See I found it quite realistic about things that happened in the south back then and not so long ago.  After all the Civil Rights Movement was not that long ago.  My late inlaws were from Louisiana and while not violent, some of the racist things I have heard them say and do is gringe worthy indeed.

  5. I watched this show on Max the first few episodes and loved it!  Love the US version and have watch all episodes numerous times.  Glad to see the UK version here in the US.  Love British shows and this one is great.  Watched with hubby and had to tell him that Allison in real life played a midlife and also married the detective vicar on another PBS show.  LOL.  He's stuck watching PBS on Sunday nights with me.

Of course Monica will go to Bermuda. She needs the job and the money. I wonder who takes care of her children when she goes on these trips. Could it be her toxic mother whom she appears to hate?

Of course it will be.  I fear though, that the oldest daughter has more responsibilities to watch the other kids than a teen her age should have.

Anyway, Heather lied because she'd already told her daughter that the goal of the luncheon was to upset Lisa by making her wear a bonnet.  Heather wins Asshole of the Week tonight IMO, and that's a hard thing to do when you're on a show with Monica, Meredith, Seth and his Taint. 😄

I just took that as a joke.  Sarcastic humor.

Yes! It has to be performance art! Thank you @Steph J you figured it out for us, nobody could really be like that in real life, right?

I've thought that about Monica all along.  I also think she has Jen in her ear still.

Churning butter reminds me of my sister making it that way with her kids.  She would even put it in a turkey mold and serve it for Thanksgiving. Yummy!

But at the same time Mia outed her son on TV as having a learning disability but also she outed her mother as drug addicted so theres that. But still, she should not have talked about her son's learning issues on TV.

If either is even true. I believe little that comes out of that  faking cancer woman's mouth.

Because whatever you think the characters she plays or her personal views on anything, many still think she's a pretty good actress.

Clearly gaydar worked just fine 140 years ago too.

Perhaps, but I think Bertha's stance is inappropriately and ahistorically projecting current sensibilities back to a time when relationships between husbands and wifes were different, especially for "robber baron" types of husbands. He has all the power and, from his perspective, did nothing wrong. In fact, many (most?) husbands in that era would not have turned down the offer. He did with no hesitation as soon as he realized who she was. I was surprised that he caved as he did to Bertha about his "mistake" - that seemed out of character for the supposedly tough guy that he is. Maybe this story tangent serves to cement and demonstrate the love he really does have for his wife.

Exactly. It was the norm for upper class men to have a mistress. In fact, in real live, Mr Russel would have been the agresser.  Turner, however would never be accepted into society no matter how old money she married.   Bertha only has to hint at Turner's beginnings and Turner would have been shunned.  Bertha might even gauge more sympathy with the rest of the society women by having a cheating husband in common with them.  Many society women, at that time, lived basically separate lives from their husbands.

I recently read Anderson Cooper's story about the Vanderbilts and it was a very interesting read.  He also has a book about the Astors' history I want to read.

Something is fishy with Monica & her Mom. Why, if she's paying for everything, is the vehicle titled in her mom's name? Then, a rented Range Rover? With dealer plates and a blacked out appearance package & performance wheels. Sure don't see a lot of those at Hertz.  Not to mention, Monica's been driving that same ride all season.

I think it's all theater,  After all, Monica was a student of Jen Shah, so to speak.  Also, the lease on the first SUV was probably  too expensive, so Monica down graded to a cheaper car. I have an astute bull shit detector and they set mine off every scene they are in.

  10. Madison should have stopped filming and not had her poor son's business on tv. He probably already gets teased because of her, and now this is going to make it worse when his friends see him crying.  I  know it's not a kid friendly show, but his schoolmates will see it.  She may even be why he got in a fight to begin with.  Luckily her new husband was there for the child.

  11. When the one guy asked for a virgin pina colada, I wondered if Roy Jr was off the booze. Hope so for the sake of those kids.  The kids were adorable.  They seemed to know Sandy well, also.  And Natalya was great with them.

Wonder if they sent Jessica to shore to make sure she didn't have covid?

Tumi said on WWHL that she realized Kyle was playing them against each other because he wants to be Chief Stew.

  12. So  basically they were all mourning the loss of their drug dealer.  Hmm.   I noticed, on the show, no one mentioned the cause of death.  I doubt Lyme would kill someone that many years later.  Still, sad for Olivia.

The program description mentioned a death.  When they showed little Craig being sick, I got scared for a minute.  Especially with the preview showing Taylor so hysterical on the phone. Bravo got me again!

It's not a Greek tradition. Angie thought it was cute/cool. She is an idiot.

I thought she got Greek Dancing and doing shots  mixed up with going to a strip club.

I found Angie's dad playing music and dancing to be delightful.

Bet they were glad Mary chose  not to go to the party.  She would have acted like that one aunt who turns her nose up to everything, but you still have to sit and talk to her.

  14. Watching reruns the season with Hannah, Jooa, Anastasia etc.  Sandy loses her shit because the table is not set for a brunch that won't even occur for a couple hours.  Makes Anastasia wake Hannah up.  All the while drooling because the deck crew got all the toys out.   Fast forward to this episode and Sandy does not see it's a big deal that Kyle left the ship in  a mess, from the night before.   She really isn't consistent is she?

I don’t know how long Gabi has held her kidnapper captive but it’s done wonders for him! He clearly hasn’t aged a day in 20 years! 🙄

I heard from one of them say  7 months.

I would have thought that being hit twice with an iron skillet, would have put him out longer. It could have been lethal.

Anyone notice the blurb at the end saying this show was totally fictional?

Heather to her daughters: Are you nervous? Don't you hate going to school and being bullied? Do you feel scared? I'd feel scared if I were you. How's your anxiety? Aren't you so anxious? What about when you get attacked and called names? How does that make you feel? It would make me feel awful."

Daughters to Heather: Calm the fuck down. We're fine.

Heather to herself: There goes my lawsuit against the school district...

If they weren't being bullied, they will now with Heather talking about it on tv.

Lisa getting  banned from a tanning salon. Who knew she was a Karen?

Kinda weird the pillows weren’t wrapped in plastic.  Toss them around a dirty warehouse and then they end up on someone’s sofa.

Isn’t Kroger a grocery store?  Honey I’m going to pick up some Pop Tarts and a $60 Craig palm tree pillow.

Did he do it through his clothes?  Doesn’t seem super hygienic.  At first I thought it was a vitamin shot as Austen and Taylor had those ridiculous IVs.  Maybe don’t drink too much and aspirin will be enough.

We don't have Kroger, but we have Ruler which is owned by Kroger and is one of those discount groceries where you bag your own groceries and pay a quarter to use a cart. Kind of a cut rate Aldis.  May when the pillows don't sell, they can move them on to Ruler and sell them for a discounted price. I might buy one then.

The needle on a insulin syringe is so short that it would barely stick him through jeans. Also why doesn't he have a Insulin pump to control his glucose levels since they are probably spiking and then dropping from his alcohol usage.  Also should be using a continuous glucose monitor.

So, Olivia was crying because her fake best friend, was thinking of fake dating Olivia's fake ex boyfriend.  Also. Shady of Austin to tell her about the sleep over.

What's worse is Austin tries to act upset because Rodd wants to date his fake ex girlfriend.

Why am I watching?  I do not like anyone.

Also, last week, I noticed that Patricia looks awful unhealthy. Kind of jaundiced.  Hope she does not have something terrible.

Okay, I admit for a split second—I think I was buying it. I never thought Olivia and Austen were a couple, but when she started crying in her car after “getting away from the cameras.” I was all maybe she actually had feelings for him??

Beyond that, my show observations are that JT has WAY too many random charging cords piled up, and he should probably get a Dexcom to track his glucose and cover his carbs while drinking rather than waiting until 12:43 the next afternoon to correct—but that’s between him and mommy.

So he's from the DC area.  Is his mama also  named Chef Kim, like Dexter's on BDDU?  Must be the breeding area for mama's boys.
