  1. Wasn't it Luke that suggested the stupid chanting? So dumb.  They should have just had Culver bring out the egg. Should have had the girls and maybe guys also dress in togas.

Laura is still dressing like she is on her way to the secretarial pool in the 1960s.  And not like she's going to party.  She sure pushed herself on Luke. But then, he could say no.  He is a fuck boy.  I forget who said that in what episode, but I was thinking the same thing,

I thought the pills were probably sleeping pills since Alfie seemed to think they could kill him by od'ing on them.  Maybe not, if Will is popping a couple here and there.  Can antidepressants kill you?

They were probably Mother's Little Helper, aka valium

At least the tape of Martyn was 5 - 10 years old and he wasn't cheating on Rachita with a minor.

Why did the boss (Superintendent?) kick Rachita off the team at the end of the episode? Maybe she was a token hire but she did solve the case. That was just stupid and uncalled for.

The Bhangra dancing in the pub was the best part of the show.

I hope that season 2 is better.

  4. I just binged the final season, having just remembered to watch it.

Bert and Mrs Tishell remained infuriating to the end. Especially Bert.  His scammer ways are no longer funny.

For some reason, the Christmas episode seemed cheesy to me.  I know it's Christmas.  The acting almost seemed satire like.  I did love Santa and his car/sled at the end. What did the kids think though of seeing 2 santas?

Same.  I have no outside info- just what we’ve seen.

But the way Tamra kept talking about her and the stuff she supposedly said and then bringing her to the party felt like she was pushing this plastic blonde to someone; someone like Bravo.

Plus, she clearly doesn’t like Jenn to the point that she continues to bully her about stuff that’s none of her concern.  I’m thinking she’s pissed that Jenn got the spot instead of Heather A.

I think she brought her on to just further tear Jenn down.

Isn't this show made by the same creative that made Richard Madden's The Bodyguard ? Based on that pedigree I am going to state that sweet lover boy is a goner.

Oh no!  I like him. And he has a young son who's mother is a breast cancer survivor. Poor kid.  At least he has a gran to care for him when his mum invariable succombs also.

So did the ultrasound picture belong to Trixie, the boyfriend's sister? If so, her partner is dead also.

it was on their darn preference sheet that they wanted ice in ALL beverages

It would be on mine too.  The colder the better.  As to wine. I have dined with a physician who always puts ice in her wine.  I have too on occasion.  In fact, I really don't care for hot beverages.  Hate coffee.

Aesha and the captain were quite salty on WWHL.  Hilarious.  And there is no love lost between her and Laura.

I don't mind the disco helmet, but it should be countered with an MVP award.

I remember reading last year that he also gave out MVP awards, but it was never shown on the show.

For all that Laura took an hour and a half to get ready, the end result wasn’t spectacular (and her dress looked like she was ready for a day at the office).  She’s awfully impressed with herself.

I thought that as soon as I saw her dress. She looked like she was ready for search. It also reminded me of a double knit flight attendant outfit.

Also, I have never in my long life heard of anyone requesting can can dancers.   Maybe once when I was out with Toulouse - Lautrec.  Other than that never.

This ep was a snoozefest for sure!!  I'm still trying to understand why Sheree and Marlo ALWAYS have some snarky comment about Kandi.  It's like the woman can't do ANYTHING right in their eyes.  Although, this MIGHT be all right, considering it's Sheree and Marlo doing the carping.

    Jealousy!

  10. That little short cop sure has it in for Leonard. He reminds me of some male nursing students I went to school with. They would brag they were going to go to the river and beat up gays so to make their selves seem more manly.  This was 40 odd years ago.

My dream season finally, the chief will go down in a scandal and take shorty cop with him.   I know he hates Will for sleeping with his girlfriend, but girlfriend would have cheated somewhere else.  And actually may have.   This saved the chief heartache once they were married.

Yes, taking a trip with that group in the hopes of healing fibroids ain’t gonna happen. She should have had the fibroid surgery instead of the new nose.

At least the fibroid surgery would be covered by insurance ( if she has any).

Marlo making fun of Kandi being sick.  I hope if Kandi was contagious she gives it to Marlo.  It would be miserable being stuck in a tiny airplane bathroom with it coming out both ends.

I thought it was Courtney's baby daddy that Kandi and Kenya both knew.  Did the know Marlo's chef too?  Also, no way that executive chef makes enough money to please Marlo.  Maybe Marlo and Kenya both found the chef boyfriends at an acting/restaurant talent agency.

I laugh every time Kenya says Le Ebay!

I'd be looking out the bus window also and not at Sheree talking. Also I bet Sheree never even heard of that place in Portugal until production arranged for her to "host" the trip.   I guess she is going on a hilling journey like Whitney Rose.

I picked human smuggling as soon as I saw the container.

    Me too.

Liked how she talked about being embarrassed about her dad just taking being prejudiced against.  It seems there are many levels of racism.  It's a slur to be thought to be Pakistani.  Also, I think her team/boss  do act prejudiced to her.  The main female boss seems to just discount any opinion she has.  The way everyone but Ray  just assumed it was honor killings, because of the victims heritage.  Lots of layers here.

I like this show.  Glad to see Parminder again after seeing her years ago on Bend it Like Beckham.  I really like Brit dramas because the women, for the most part, look like real women and not Hollywood big boobs and plastic faces.

Just discovered that there's an After Show this season. Gems from the episode:

    • none of the ladies believe that Kim and Kroy are getting divorced and just like us, they think it's for publicity.
    • Drew had to be reminded to pay her donation and apparently she needed to make multiple payments. It's worth it to watch the after show just to see Drew try to talk her way around why she paid late.
    • Sheree complained that she had 2 kids and a grandbaby so she shouldn't have to pay, but ended up writing her check anyway.
    • Kandi continues to show why she's a better person than most of us by moving past the issues she had with Kim.

I should have bet money on drew and sheree not paying.

I don't mind the music (although I too would prefer less of it) but what annoys me is that it is much louder than the dialogue.  I had to keep grabbing my remote.

Me too.  Then my husband gets annoyed because the tv is too loud. I tell him wait a few seconds and then it will be quieter.  But, when I lower the music volume, I can't hear the dialogue.

I also find this show too dark as in lack of light.  I guess they paid so much for the music, that they couldn't afford a proper lighting tech.  With  the dark rooms and night scenes, I can barely tell who is who in some scenes.

It was nice of Sheree to pledge a bounced check to Mommination.

I was wondering how many of those howives would actually make good on their pledge.  Kandi up from donating 5000 made them all at least pretend to pledge.

Sounds like Sanya wants her sister as a manager, but does not keep her in the loop on what's going on.  Sounded like she did not know about what she needed to do that day until the last minute. I would be frustrated too.

Did not miss NeNe at all at the reunion.

What’s funny about that to me is that I wasn’t sure if it was his imagination or Joan’s in that scene! I thought it could as easily have been hers.

I thought so too.  It seemed like a scene a woman would imagine.

I screamed at the TV: "HOW'S THAT WORKING FOR YA?" (tm Jeff van Vonderen from Intervention).

I love my mother, but I wouldn't change her stinking crusty leg dressings, either, especially if she was prescribed medicine and refused to take it. Some tasks call for a professional.

I didn't believe it either! Not because lead can't get stuck in your skin, but because the lump on her hand seemed too big and jellylike for a pencil lead. I was surprised that Dr. Lee went anywhere near a hand surgery -- it seemed like that's an incredibly complex and delicate area with a ton of potential for injury if you're not a hand expert -- but she said it was superficial enough, and clearly she was right. I appreciated her featuring the fact that she was wrong and the patient was right all along. Once in a great while...

Believe it or not, I have a bit of graphite, from a pencil in my hand.  It's been there for years.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Dr. Ebonie Vincent on "My Feet Are Killing Me?" She had a patient who had not taken off her boot for two years and her whole leg stunk to high heaven. The doctor had to light a number of scented candles because the smell was so bad.

Reminds me of an episode of Call the Midwife where a homeless man had pain in his feet and hadn't removed his shoes for years.  The nurse removed his boot and his foot fell off!

I definitely draw the line at maggots! How can anyone stand having maggots IN THEIR BODY??!

I've seen emergency room pictures of such.  That woman did not need to see a dermatologist. She needed a wound care specialist.  I've seen legs like that but not quite as bad.  That was a circulation and stasis ulcer problem.

Just watched last night's Save My Skin. Dr Emma had a similar patient.  She referred him to the correct specialist.   It was amazing how much better he was at the final follow up.

I don't really care about the patient and family talking about the skin problem before they see Dr Lee.  Those conversations seem like bad acting, because it is bad acting. I usually fast forward after I find out what the patient's issue is.

  18. OK. I thought Carly kind of looked like Rita Wilson.  I guess she picked Tom since he is more famous.  Also, I after her "tantrum" I almost wonder if she was a plant.  It seemed weird they still had her miked.   Also her "talent" was pretty lame.  That said, I picked Tom right away.  But the looking like Rita Wilson sealed it for me.
