    I thought this was cringey

Oof. Yeah count me on the cringey side of this debate. I have more rhythm and I'm an old white lady.

  2. Not at all surprised Suki was Miss Congeniality. They were all very broken up and talked about how sweet she is when she was eliminated, and it seemed genuine.

I probably like Kendall the most of the remaining queens, as a person, but I completely want Pithia to win this, she's deserving. I'd be ok with Icesis.  This is a good top 3, I can't remember a time where I had a queen I really liked but thought they should come in third before.

A plea probably would have knocked off a year or two from the sentence.  But, that would have required Josh to say he did it in some fashion, and JB and Josh could not spin that.  Josh being found guilty by a jury can still be spun into some fantasy of Josh being persecuted and this trial being a miscarriage of justice, yada yada yada.

This is almost guaranteed to happen, I'm afraid.  Also Satan's fault.

Jurors have a lot of other things to focus on besides who's sitting where in the courtroom or who's chatting with whom, though.

I've been on a bunch of juries. And I don't remember a single conversation among jurors on any case about who was in the courtroom audience or how many there were or what they might be doing there, ever. ..,One case I served on actually did involve celebrities, too, with some famous people testifying. And on that case, we did talk about which well-known people testified and what they testified to. But they were witnesses, so our thoughts about their credibility were relevant to the actual government and defense arguments.

During deliberations, I've never heard anybody mention anything that went on in the courtroom audience, on that trial or any other, though. I've never heard anybody mention who was in the courtroom audience as a reason for trusting or not trusting a defendant or anything like that.....

So while who's in the audience may affect the jury sometimes, I have a hard time believing it happens very often. And in this case, the jury has so many things to consider.....And would they even recognize Derick, for example? .... Anna sitting there day after day they're probably gonna notice and register. But given how much stuff goes on in a courtroom, I don't know that they'd even notice flyby visitors like Justin and Jessa, for example.

My experience of juries has actually improved my view of humans. My sense has been that when people are given the juror responsibility, they'll generally really try to do the right thing and be thoughtful!  ....... I don't think we can rate juries in general based on very very unusual cases like the OJ case.

This. When I was on a jury (but only have been once), I was really, really focused on the witnesses and not  much else. I don't think I could even tell you whether there was a gallery.  Nobody in that case was famous (or barely famous like Duggars are), but I'm not sure if it matters. I think as you say, people on juries are really focused on doing their job, which is to pay attention to the trial.

Okay, Aaron was an ass during this episode, particularly the way he interacted with Bones, but....we're several challenges into this season now and his work has mostly been relegated to the middle and when rated high has lost to several inferior designs.  He has presented well designed and well crafted looks pretty much each week.  No tongue baths for him though.  I'm guessing his behavior was being influenced by a certain amount of frustration.  Not saying he was right, just that between the stress of competition and a continuing losing streak despite sending out quality could have pushed him in a corner he should have crawled out of before acting out.

I can agree with all this. But ranting at a Black man as if he has no clue what he's doing, when he's also a designer himself, and part of your team, and then snorting "White privilege" as if it's a thing that doesn't exist, isn't excusable under any conditions.

And finally, Mimi is the best model I've ever seen walk.

Getting Mimi for your model is practically an automatic win, or at least top.  She's amazing. that little walk she did to prove she could walk in that dress?  Chef's kiss.

  7. Yeah, agree, i adore Sinthya. I like the whole “Brat Pack”; i think they’re very sweet. I pretty much love this entire cast though, after Eve left, so I’m pretty ok with whoever stays & wins at this point.

I still hold out a small hope that if he uses the save, it will be for a good reason.

I'm holding out hope that if he uses the save it will be for Aaron. He's practically the only one of these people I can stand consistently (there are a couple I can stand... inconsistently).  He's getting shafted in the judging all the time.

Thank you for bringing this up. Coral ( Or was it Kristina instead? I think maybe Coral made the much better man's outfit???)  obviously did not listen to the fact that Tara should not be in a voluminous outfit. I haven't sewed anything since my 7th grade Home Ec. class simple shift dress (I'm old), but I could have wrapped a rope around gold fabric and made something better than that thing.

It may have been Kristina. Whoever it was needs to vamoosh

  10. Are we going to talk about the absolute trash that Coral sent down that runway? It looked like she wrapped a gold garbage bag around that model and tied some string around it. They have to have been safe only because the men's look in that pair was ok.  But I'd have put them in the bottom and offed her anyway; I was offended.

There's a better picture of her from the side at the Arkansas football game from a couple of weeks ago where her tummy looks flat in a dress with a defined waistline.  It's upthread a bit.

people really do like to guess about this. This picture really doesn't give much information, and the print on the top plus the way she's standing next to Joy and the other girl to me looks like you can't tell one way or the other. The picture from the football game makes her look not pregnant.

  12. My take on that was that they didn't necessarily think it wasn't true that the Rodrigues kids aren't being fed or well cared for, but that they see some folks as snarking on the kids for their appearance or whatever, and that the snark should be directed at the parents, not the kids. I can get behind that. I think they also questioned how much Jill "forces" her style on her girls especially. I think they see it as the example she sets is of someone whose style is stuck in the 80s, and that's the only example they have. I mean I guess in light of that, their choices (eyebrows) might be their own, but IMO that's still Jill's fault for keeping them from ever seeing other options.

TLDR, I agree that it's not great to snark on little kids, but snark on their parents all day, because the snarkworthy stuff about the kids is often because of a parent's decision.

Did anyone else imagine Maggie riding around 1950s London on a bike when they mentioned she was a retired midwife?  I don’t care if she’s not from London. I don’t care if she’s not that old. I don’t care that she presumably never lived with a gaggle of nuns. The image is living in my head rent-free for the remainder of her time on the show.

VERY first thought in my head when they introduced her!

I reluctantly paid the $20 to iTunes for the season pass. Ten minutes into this episode, I was already having buyer's remorse.  Something just seems off about this season.  It seems they're trying really hard to make everything fresh and current when there's really no way to do it successfully.  I'll continue to watch since I paid for it, but I'm already bored.

Yeah I bought just the episode and I was pretty bored. I probably won't buy the rest, unless y'all start pointing out good things about it.

Jill has some EXCITING NEWS to share, LIVE on FB on Monday at 3pm ET. We have a choice of

Baby 14, Nurthan's son is born, Timbits, or Kaylee, or Renee is in a courtship.

Kaylee is rumored to have a beau in MS. They visited his family and performed at his church on the way home from TX.

    That's all I got. 😁

I literally couldn't care less about their news if I tried.  Unless it's that they've realized that science is real, they're judgmental and horrible, and they're going to start wearing pants and get tattoos.
