  1. Was Edith and Bertie's son named Peter? So the next marquess of Hexam. I was surprised he wasn't at least at the wedding.

I like Mary a lot more now, but it still doesn't make sense that every non-related male in her vicinity falls for her. And she has a crap husband who is never around. Recast or kill him off.

Glad to see Daisy and Andy finally married. Crazy that the actor and Laura Carmichael have a baby together.

    Is a third movie planned?

  2. Just reread the book. So much was changed. Ani (Annie) was strictly only her lawyer (no Max), Shane was barely in it, and Megan wasn't featured much. Enrico and Buckley lived and it seemed like her and Buckley became friends. Miranda died (murdered by Buckley). The CIA gave Cassie a new identity and she changed her looks, but still flew. Very confusing.

I just assumed it was like the brady bunch--all the sons are his bio kids, the daughters hers.

Wow, the homophobia at the end of this episode was really nauseating!  Maybe assume first that he's bi/pan, his wife doesn't care, and neither should you.  I was expecting the pictures to be like necrophilia or cannibalism or something, not tasteful male nudes.

But did she really know about that or is that what he claimed? She left her first husband for cheating. I doubt she'd be okay with him fooling around whether male or female.

  4. Why do Carol and Cassie hate each other?

Glad Megan was able to get her stuff back.

I'm glad Marco is gone. There's something about him that rubbed me the wrong way, but I don't know what it is. Complaining that she couldn't use the AA card on him? Dude, if you had any sort of sense of observation, you'd see she's hanging on by a thread and she truly did have a work thing. But kudos to Cassie for preventing Jenny (?) from buying booze. I think we all knew that Cassie was going to crash and burn sooner than later.

What's up with Grace always trying to give Cassie alcohol? Does she know, somehow, that she's in recovery and is trying to derail her? There's something I don't trust about her.

Why do I always think that Max and Annie are going to wind up dead? They better not.

  5. Where does the brother live? He flew to LA to see her get her chip, right? And as seen in season one, he didn't live in NYC either.

What on earth is Megan up to?

The AA woman is creeping me out. I love true crime podcasts as much as the next person, but if you want to interview someone it's always best to be up front and honest. And you have to be very respectful. I'm pretty much side eyeing everyone in Cassie's life other than Annie, Max, her sponsor (Brenda?), and her brother.

  6. The coat looked red to me, and wanted to yell at her to not spy in a bright coat. I really hope this season isn't just her doing one stupid thing after another. I'm always skeptical when a series based on a single book expands into a second season. A lot of the time it doesn't work. It didn't work for Big Little Lies.

  7. My favorite Wallflower book is Devil In Winter (my least favorite is Daisy's) and my favorite Hathaway book is Poppy's (the male love interest is a self made man from New York). My least favorite Hathaway book is Win's.

  8. I also want to chime in that women are complicated.

When I think of 'sex work', I'm thinking prostitution or porn vids. Posing nude or stripping is different from taking money for sex. Call me a prude, but I'm not cool with trading sex for money. A friend made bad choices and lost her scholarship in college, but stripped to make money for school. She became an elementary school teacher and is married with two daughters. Now a successful mom blogger (she makes more money at that than teaching). I had no idea she stripped until another mutual friend said that (she thought I knew). She's the last person I would think would do that. She is a gentle and sweet person.

I also worked with an outreach called Victoria's Friends that helps women leave that life of stripping. No woman does that as a first choice. People want to justify it by saying, "she's making money for school." For some women that is true. I could have taken that way to pay for my uni expenses. I am petite but was considered 'hot' (not my thinking--many years after high school I got messages from guys who were afraid to ask me out. I thought I was the plague in HS--I was dateless since I didn't put out). I would either not respond or say a polite, "Thank you." I got my degree the old school way with working on campus and a small student loan. After I got married to a fab dude (we're raising a fab teen girl who wants to be a lawyer), he encouraged me to get my Masters.
