  1. I think people shouldn't make assumptions about what someone else has gone through in their life if they don't have any idea themselves. Nor should judgements be made on how they deal with it. I also think that picking apart words said on a stressful reality show race around the world is petty and judgmental. I don't exclude myself, as I'm judging Blair by how he's acting on the race. However, I'm not telling other posters they have no right to do the same.
  2. Agree, one looks like Amy Adams, and the other Anna Faris. Easy for me.
  3. It just seems so obvious to me that the blonde girl comment was sarcasm. Being blonde myself, with an often goofy but not stupid personality, I've often been treated as being a ditz until proven otherwise. It can get old, and yeah I've been known to sarcastically refer to myself that way to show someone else that they were wrong in blindly misjudging me.
  4. I think it's been a bunch of molehills piling on top of each other to create that mountain. This wasn't an isolated incident. She went on too long and it was annoying for sure, but I really don't blame her. He's a pill.
  5. Agree completely. Although I'm not a fan of the tv proposals, he turned what was a sweet moment into a pity party for himself! I really couldn't believe that was happening.
  6. I'm glad we didn't get more footage of the blind date. I have absolutely no interest in that. Completely agree, I'm not a fan of the proposals on tv either. I think a proposal should be about two people or at the very least, amongst their friends. Not mugging for the camera. To each their own of course, but I find no beauty in it myself.
  7. I agree. I assume he's been like this all along, and when she was questioning him about having only two items on the tray, he didn't give her concerns any consideration at all in any way. He didn't stop for one second to think that maybe she was right, he just followed the person in front of him and I'm sure she felt helpless. He was not going to give in.. What really irked me and I think the reason she went on and on (and on), was that he couldn't simply just admit he was wrong and apologize. He said nothing. His arrogance is astounding to me that he couldn't even let her have that! I have a feeling she'd not have continued on nagging if he has just owned up, apologized and said that in the future he would be a better teammate and would indeed listen to her and work together. I've known people like that who can't admit they're wrong, let alone apologize. It can drive a person insane out of frustration.
  8. I agree. If he'd shown himself to have a sense of humor, I'd assume he was joking with her. He has no sense of humor though, as he proved with his comment that she was "being mean" when she guessed his age at 35 rather than 31. That's a risk you take when you ask someone how old they think you are! He's obviously very vain and she touched a nerve in both of these incidences. It's odd to see someone with no personality or sense of fun being cast in a show like this.
  9. I have to admit I liked these first two episodes way more than I thought I would, but I hope this is the first and last time they do the dating theme, or any other gimmick. It's not necessary and like someone else above mentioned, if we want a dating show we'll watch a dating show. I've never even seen one episode of one of those types so this won't hold me long if they keep this up. I don't mind Hayley at all, I think she was nervous and hyper, and whether she stays that way or not, I'd take her over that stuffy, stuck up bore fest she got for a partner. Any person who is rude enough to make it that obvious he's not into the person he's with, on camera no less, loses any respect from me. I'm glad he seems to have improved in this episode and is maybe realizing she's not so far "beneath" him as he was thinking, and in fact may turn out to be a much better racer, but his attitude at the beginning was a huge turn off. She reminds me of Anna Farris in a way. Other than him, I pretty much like everybody else so far. I didn't mind the challenges but I hope this season has more thrilling, scary type tasks like bungee, rappelling, skydiving, etc. I miss those, and if they're running out of ideas, just repeat more from past seasons! Who cares, it's a new set of people.
  10. This is a great thread. Every potential or confirmed future racer should read it.
  11. That was far from Brooke's only offense imo.
  12. This was hilarious! He was so funny. She just has to blame someone else but herself for every little thing doesn't she?
  13. I completely agree. I think this is going to be a mess when people who don't know each other are racing together. It reminds me of the season with the birth mother and her birth daughter meeting up at the race for the first time since the daughter was adopted out at birth. Neither of them knew the others strengths or weaknesses and it really hampered their race at times. I don't understand why they would change what has worked so well for so many years. Please, no more gimmicks.
  14. I don't think Bethany was rude to the fireman in any way at all even slightly. She's in a race, she can't stand around and talk. Even at that she answered him enthusiastically when he asked if she was Bethany Hamilton and when he continued on she said she had to go. I don't know what more could be expected? I think these people are under extreme stress as well as fatigue (even if they've had a rest, a month of running around would be taxing), and I think sometimes their every little move and word is over analyzed and then judged. I'm guilty of it too, just sayin. They're human, and I've seen so much worse behavior by teams in every single race since the 1st, including by generally nice people. I also don't understand how the teams are responsible for their edits?
