I’m convinced that they are throwing the challenges. They have the numbers, and are just trimming down the other alliance as they approach the merge. There is no advantage for that tribe to win (except for the minority alliance), as the other tribe has even numbers between the alliances and could go either way. They still have two more tribals before they run out of victims, and by then a merge or a “drop your buffs” will most likely happen..

Just a hunch- but I think that the Save also contributed to this as well. As long as they have it, they go through each leg with no fear of being eliminated- which must relieve a HUGE amount of pressure. Their personalities just scream meltdown, but as you pointed out they have been consistently supportive and considerate. I would love to be proven wrong, and we will see what happens once Leg 10 begins.
