  1. My choir is using the a cappella app so choir members can record their part at home and the choir director edits them together. We also have zoom rehearsals for those that need help learning a part. The recordings have been amazing.

I'm saving my money for a trip when this is all over.  I need to go to Church once again.  And by Church I mean a Springsteen Concert.  He is getting ready to release a new album, and I pray he goes out on tour in 2022.  That and take my niece to her first concert which would be The Chicks Gaslighter Tour, again hopefully in late 2021 or 2022.

I am seriously considering doing a solo weekend jaunt to the mountains in January.  I have spent a few hours scouring AirBnB for a small cabin somewhere near Boone, NC.  I just want to spend a weekend reading by the fire, eating whatever the hell I want, and taking either a few baths or enjoying the hot tub.  I want to spend some time not talking to anyone while leaving off the bra and contacts.

I would love to join you in church, @ohiopirate. 😁 I love that BnB idea but I’d go to the north shore of Lake Superior.

I want a vehicle.  That way I could hit the road and not stop until I want.

I hope you get one, Beckie. Road trips are my favorite. I was born a Detroit gal, so probably not surprising. I love to drive. I got a new-to-me vehicle in April and, because of the pandemic, I haven’t even put 1000 miles on it yet which is making me crazy a little.

Yeah, this dislike of Jo as a middle name makes me sad, probably only because it's also my middle name, after my grandpa. It's also my niece's middle name, but after her paternal grandma.

To be honest, when I was a kid I wished it would have been Josephine because I thought that's a prettier name and because I thought people would think it was backwoods or hillbilly. It's disheartening to see I wasn't exactly wrong.

As an adult I like my name because it's mine. I'm not Josephine, I'm Jo, and I'm not upset about it.

When I see Jo I don’t think hillbilly, I think Little Women. Jo March is about as far from a Duggar as you can get.

Lol, yes, I have an exercise pool in half of my garage. If you google "iPool", you can see what it is. I've had it for almost 6 years and it's the only exercise I've ever stuck with that long.

OMG I want one! Swimming is the only exercise-y thing I do well and I just love it.

I’ve always prepared every dish entirely from scratch.  Well this year, my household of only three has ordered a fully cooked Thanksgiving in a box from the local grocery store!     I'm guessing it'll be Stovetop this and canned that, but you know what?  I'm not going to complain and I will thoroughly enjoy not cooking.  Or excessively cleaning every inch of my house like I normally would to host.

I cook my own turkey breast but get the precooked sides from HyVee and they are AMAZING. You may be surprised.

Not to brag, but my mom was the VBS refreshment lady, and she was a freakin' legend. Not only did she insist on ample sugar in the Kool Aid, but she added in fresh fruit juice. Sometimes you'd get an actual chunk of lemon or orange in your Dixie cup.

    Oooh! VBS sangria!

I’m jealous of all of you who have tiny feet. 5.5 ??? Those are some cute tiny feet!

    Yep. I’m a dainty size 11. 😁

ETA: I shudder to think what size they’d be if I’d ever been pregnant. 11s are difficult to find and my feet are narrow which limits my choices further. My shoes look like canoes.

I never seen Frasier or Friends.

I just finished the Parkers on Netflix. That show would have been canceled today real quick. Nicki Parker sexually harasses the professor in every episode. I didn’t find it funny either. How it ends is even worse. Yikes.

    @PikaScrewChu

I ran into this with Republic of Doyle, which I LOVED on so many levels. (It’s worth watching just for the Newfoundland scenery. And it’s a motherlode for Canadian Actor Bingo.) But Jake’s behavior is really hard to watch sometimes.

  10. I had to sink bath for nine weeks when I ruptured my Achilles’ tendon because I couldn’t get my cast wet. It wasn’t until about 3-4 days before the final cast came off that I learned thee were actual cast covers that work.   I could not wait until I could get in the tub again.

I recently watched the movie Julia/Julie and discovered that Julia Child says the way to brown mushrooms is not to crowd them.  I'm going to try that next time, as I love mushrooms.  That movie has sparked an interest in French cuisine in me.

The way to brown anything is not to crowd the pan. Most food gives off moisture as it cooks and if the pan is too crowded your food will steam instead of brown.
