  1. Hi all, Any new leaks? After Dany is stabbed to death, are we to expect a "I did not see that coming" twist?
  2. HBO presents Game of Spin A reliable source of information has some PR info to share. Apparently HBO has issued some directives to networks who air Game of Thrones in various countries for how to address the show and fans after the finale. Expect fewer network sponsored live tweets during the episode, after shows, and far less interaction between network and audience on social media platforms like Twitter. There's basically an embargo on commentary and interaction coming from the networks for at least a week after the finale airs. They want no social media interaction between networks and fans until at least after the documentary airs. If the network you watch GoT on previously made playful posts, jokes, and their own compilation clips to drum up hype during this season we'd be interested in hearing from you if they suddenly dry up. Same goes for after shows that aired all season but don't after the finale. Game of Thrones is over, now we enter the Game of Spin. 3. So those behind the scenes pics of Kit with Lena were fake scenes? I see.
  4. Cersei (a villain from the beginning of this series) is humanized in death. While Dany, who was built up as a heroic character, is turned into a villain in a single episode. 😐 I mean, who are we (mere fans..no?) to dare suggest it makes no sense and it was not earned. The most important question apparently is - have your expectations not been subverted? 🙄
  5. About the Long Night prequel... Based on the references made about the Long Night in the books, magical and fantasy elements were major players during the period. If the Long Night prequel leans heavily into these magical/fantasy elements, it could draw in the fans of GOT who are disappointed that the current show didn't deeply explore that part of. the world. Then again, the fans that hate the way the defeat of night king and AOTD went down in the current series, may not be interested in the Long Night prequel. They may feel that it doesn't matter how big of a deal The Others are built up in the prequel, since the ending that D&D gave the AOTD and the night King has undermined that. Then there are the fans that love GOT because of the human relationships and interactions and do not care about the magical elements. The majority of these fans either did not mind the ending of the AOTD and the night King in episode 3, or they were indifferent to it. Inorder to draw these fans into the Long Night prequel, the prequel has to cater to their needs by ensuring the show has very interesting and compelling plots in the human-side of things. Hopefully, the writers are able to do that without losing the magical and fantasy elements (they still have to serve the fantasy fans). Then we have the fans that love both sides of this world equally. The human relationships and the fantasy aspects of the world are both important to them. For them, the prequel has to strike a nice balance to keep them engaged. And yes, there are fans who will not tune in to the prequel if the ending of the current show is terrible in their opinion. They may not be that many, but some fans will not tune in. The fourth point is that the Long Night prequel will most likely never get to the success level of GOT. Even if it ends up being a much better show, I don't see it being the worldwide phenomenon the GOT has become. The is because the current TV landscape is totally different from what it was in the years 2011 - 2015/2016. Now we have so many scripted shows and from different content providers. For most of these providers, you can watch their shows whenever you want to. "Weekly appointment TV" is no longer required. I just don't see any TV content provider ever having a show that would dominate the discourse the way GOT has. We are now in the era of streaming and GOT is most likely the last huge "weekly appointment" TV show. Just my humble opinion. Then again, I may be totally wrong. Amazon Prime may just give us a show that sweeps us off our feet. 🤣
  6. I'm sorry but this writing for Dany's character has not been earned. They should've started a slow set up for such a descent while she was in Mareen. This is my opinion. But it is what it is, I guess. 🤷‍♀️
  7. Wonder what this tweet is referring to. Sunday shall be very interesting...need popcorn for the online drama https://twitter.com/EverythingClexa/status/1126278387373432835?s=20
  8. Don't think she's pregnant. Are they really going to have St Jon stab Dany and his child?
  9. But wait...there are more...😂😂 Here is another episode 5 leak from freefolk from someone described as a "good source" "Opens on Dragonstone, Dany is in deep depression, Jon arrives and Varys starts talking to him about his claim to the throne etc Jon doesn't tell Dany about what Varys has said. Dany later however finds Varys sending messages off on the raven, she reads it and discovers he was informing someone that Jon is the true heir. After a short hearing she decides to execute Varys and reminds him of what she said to him in 'Stormborn'. Tyrion swears loyalty to her and claims he has never questioned her mind frame..... Cersei is still allowing people into the Red Keep. Ayra, Jamie and The Hound all make it inside. Cersei and Quburn have a chat which alludes to Wildfire being ready for use. Jon and co are all at Kings Landing. Grey Worm makes them wait but won't say why. Jon trusts in his judgement. Tyrion meanwhile mentions his concerns about Dany to Jon. In Blackwater bay Euron and his fleet are watching as Yara's fleet start closing in, suddenly they stop and remain position. Euron is curious as to what they are up to so turns his boats around to face their direction. He holds up the spires ready to shoot when he hears a dragon raw in the sky, he looks up, blinded by the sun he realises its a trap, Drogon appears from no where and lights up his entire fleet. At this point he jumps over board. Later in the ep we have a full on epic battle between him and Yara, after stabbing her through the chest she picks up a piece of wood with a long nail in it and slams it into his head, think Kill Bill. They both then die. Back at Kings Landing Jon and co suddenly notice that The Golden Company are going back into Kings Landing. They have no idea why. So they continue to wait as per Grey Worm's instuctions. Back to Ayra for a bit and she and The Hound are now inside the castle. Now we get to the big part. Outside the gates of Kings Landing we hear Drogon roar and he completely out of no where lights up the entire front wall of Kings Landing before anyone has time to react. Cersei looks on from the castle in disbelieve then suddenly The Golden Company army start attacking the Lannister army, they have switched sides for some reason. Cersei can't believe what she is seeing, her whole face full of anger and fury. Jon and co start fighting what Lannister men are at the gates of Kings Landing. all this fighting lasts about 10 mins, then Cersei says now..... one of Qyburn's little birds aka a child runs over to the bell tower and starts ringing it. At this point we see dozens of children all light up wild fire in some insane and fucked up suicide mission. Half of Kings Landing just explodes and no one has a clue whether it was the Dragon or not. So everyone starts running all over the place in complete panic. Guesome scenes of people being crushed, burned alive etc Dany looks on from the sky in absolute horror. Cersei dies but its so epic how that I'm not going to spoil that part. The end of the episode is Jon and Dany on Dragonstone, this is the scene from the trailer. She says there is something she needs to tell him, she turns holding her stomach, he guesses she is pregnant, she says I didn't want to believe so had to be sure, he then says 'you know, Tyrion thinks you are going mad just like your father' Dany's face changes from joy to disgust.. episode ends."
