Having the ice during the dunking was weird, as the mikvah should have been made "kosher" beforehand.  (There's also more to it than this, but I won't bore you!)

I am not bored at all, I am fascinated. Don't you need three rabbis present for the conversion?

Hate that they got to Marilyn first, though. She was an odd one but I liked her. I laughed when she was sitting on Walt's porch trying out different bird calls until she found one that caught his attention.

I thought Marilyn was a great character and there was no reason to kill her off. I would have loved in the last montage scene if we had seen Vic giving alive Marilyn her RV (since (gross!) I am assuming she in going to live with Walt in the cabin now.

Also, if the series had continued, I would have loved to have seen interactions between the Cheyenne and Crow tribes, and interactions with Henry and Marilyn.

I've always loved the alien sketch.  I was hoping Kate McKinnon would do one when she hosted awhile back, but holding it for Gosling makes sense.  But her character supposedly permanently left earth with the aliens on her farewell show, so we have a continuity error

I caught too. Also, you don't need to do take a 'pits and bits' bath if you are standing in a lake.

And I hope the complaint is about anything other than Charlie being kicked out of the ER (also, did anyone else notice that Shaun's mask wasn't on tight enough? He was fogging up his glasses)

I did, but I think, for dramatic purposes, they were trying to attribute his fogged googles to Shaun's rage at Charlie. I worried that he did the rest of the surgery without googles.

Along the same lines, Charlie should not have taken off her mask until she had left the room entirely. She contaminated the room. Again, I think for dramatic purposes they broke protocol so they could get a full picture of Charlie's angry/bewildered face.

so what if the actor was going to go pursue other avenues, the series is ending!

he could have been attacked and badly hurt, still dealing with the anti-semitism. maybe the attack could have spurred him to confront his inner turmoil about his faith, much more inspiring than this mess.

...or he and Jerome could have gotten married and went off on an extended honeymoon.

Now I'm wondering how Scott immersed in the mikvah when he was just post-op from hip surgery!  I mean, he'd have an incision, stitches, a dressing.... (he shouldn't have anything between his body and the water.)

Plus, was he naked in front of everyone? I saw no attempts to cover him with a towel until he entered the mikvah for modesty. Loved the image of the ice shooting into the (I hope) hot water.

  7. The message at the end was:

“If you or anyone you know has experienced antisemitism, racism, anti-LGBTQ+ related incidents or hate crimes, or if you want to learn more about what you can do to stop hate, please visit splcenter.org."

I wish this message had also included hate speech against obese people as it was fat-bullying that caused this fourteen-year-old higher-weight child to become suicidal.

I'd like to assume that Asher is just going to be in wheelchair for a season and be totally fine afterwards, as is tradition on this show. But I think having your eyes open while being unconcious is TV language for being dead...

Check the previews for next week.  You will jump to a different conclusion. (So sorry.)

And I am choosing to ignore how fast the decisions were made and everything put in place to have those very complicated surgeries happen

Also, contrary to the title, there were four babies in this story: there was a baby who died whose parents donated their heart. There was one unhappy ending last night.

I am seriously too old for this show.

I think they are all getting too old to make so many coming-of-age bad decisions. Maybe the show runners realized this and that is why this is their last season.

I really hated how Mel kept asking for jewelry as a Christmas present. Yes, because that's all we wimmins are interested in

I agree. It was cringe-worthy and very unlike practical, down-to-earth Mel.

"Hey, Mel, you don't have to beg Jack for anything, he loves you and wants to see you happy. But, honestly, did you really trust clue-less Jack to pick up a piece of jewelry that you would like? I hope he kept the receipt.'

Now, I assume at some point between those two conversations, Preacher contacted Jack to say his guy agreed to help and and that point Jack sent him what little info they had on Mel's father, including his name. But the way it played out was laughable, literally.

I agree. It was all too neat and convenient. Also, how can someone live in Virgin River and not already be known by everyone. Especially, a good-looking "golden" bachelor. Wouldn't those knitting ladies have already scoped him out?

If I'm not mistaken, Sunny had custody of the girls and they were living with him. It was weird not seeing them and, yes, they weren't germane to the plot but they weren't germane to the plot in previous seasons either and we still saw them.

To me Sunny's older children were germane to a 'B" plot because I assume their existence was one of the reasons that Sunny was not so keen on having another child ('been there- done that; actually, still doing it.').  Also, I they could have been a further reason for Sunny and Sal's breakup as she was probably not just second is Sunny's life but fourth (1. his deceased partner 2. and 3. his daughters, 4. good old Sal.)

Note to self: Never say 'yes' to a proposal done in an E.R.

And we never saw Sunny’s kids this season.

Do they still even exist? I thought Sunny had sole custody and they did not seem old enough to be in college yet.

Did we have new writers this season? I feel like we posters understand the original tone of this show better than they do.

I was hoping she and Jack would have this child since they already took the twins from him

How about Charmaine giving up the twins so Jack and Mel can adopt them?

The security guard's behavior seemed to indicate he knew the day might come when this might all become known, and he wasn't sorry to finally be able to tell the truth.

I think that is the powerful theme of the entire Unforgotten series. Our deeds, though they may be hidden are still festering, still controlling us, still ready to come out and reveal themselves, and provide healing in doing so.

"Therefore, whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops." Luke 12:3

I'm having a difficult time in the dating scene, yet Little Miss Crackhead with the unfortunate bangs and scabby mouth found a replacement for her incarcerated beau in a NY minute!

I thought the same thing. Never discount 'heroin chic'.

Mel's mother visited Virgin River (of course she did - *eye roll*) and had a love affair which resulted in Mel.

Is there any back story for this? Did Mel accept the job offer at Virgin River because her mother had raved about what a lovely place it was?

LOL that Virgin River is still recovering from devastating wildfire damage, but the town can still put oil a lavish Labor Day carnival.

Charmaine has been pregnant since 2019. How many carnivals has the town had in those seven months?
