  1. You could be right about the timing of the laundry room incident, but I think the Josh laundry room attack was on the 5 year old - as well as the lap attack on the 5 year old. I don't think he attacked any of his older siblings while they were fully awake.

The 8 year old was the one that got attacked in the laundry room, i believe.

  2. Anyone else get a whiff of passive aggression from Jessa being super duper really impressed with her friend never being too busy for her children?

Momma's little spite pony has betrayed her. And I'm here for it.

  3. On Bin's FB page (he lists himself as a Writer). My comment: Speak for yourself and YOUR little bitty brain Bin.

    This Week's Devotional

    September 14, 2015

    Ben Seewald

Many things about God are beyond our comprehension. As humans we don't like this. We like a little bitty god that can fit inside our itty bitty logical box and be understood by our tiny little human brains. Take the hypostatic union of Jesus for example. Jesus, 100% God, 100% man. The God-Man. Two 100%??? Doesn't make sense in our brains. Maybe that is because He is GOD and we are humans. Maybe that's because God is really BIG and we are really small.

Maybe that's why Romans 11:33 says "O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!" and Psalm 50:21 says "These things have you done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was altogether such a one as yourself:"

Praise God that He has revealed to us truth about Himself and the gospel, how to be saved, that we can understand. Verses so clear are given to us, like John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." There are many single and complex truths in God's Word that we are to study and learn and understand. But there are some things about God, that as we read the Bible we will be unable to fully comprehend. Things like the Trinity, the Hypostatic Union, and the relationship between's God's sovereignty and decrees and our human responsibility and free agency. In these moments, don't reject it because you can't understand it. Instead, take a step back and stand in awe of God. Take a moment to think on His words in Psalm 46:10: "Be still, and know that I am God:"

Bless his heart. He's trying his best to communicate with us, but... i think he needs at least 4 more years at college, and a job. And, not to be associated with the Duggars (other than his lovely jessa blessa).

  4. That just means HIS parents gave a damn about his education. Mommies do the schoolin' in Gothardt world, not the daddies. Following the Duggar example, Jessa will be doing the SOTDRT and Ben will be irrelevant to the process, doing his "headship" jazz.

Yeah but i doubt he'd want his kids, especially a son to be as uneducated as mom. They may homeschool, but as her headship, Ben might "encourage" Jessa to care about homeschooling the kids.

  5. Why Does Bin think that THIS is the time to take off school? When his wife is 'preggo?' Does he not understand what happens after when then the baby comes? It would make more sense if he took off spring semester, and honestly Jessa will have plently of help from her MOM , Jana, Jinger, Joy or any of the other unemployed adults in that house, so he shouldn't be using that as a reason at all for not attending school.

This is going to be a huge colassal trainwreck. Boob and Mechelle have truly failed their kids and now their kids will fail their kids (I have some hope for Jill and Derick, I don't think he will let Jill homeschool honestly). But can you imagine how dumb Jessa and Bins kid is going to be. ? Will they read anything aside from a totally underlined KJV bible on IG?

Ben does have a college degree, so i think if they had a kid,the kid would at least learn enough to pass an SAT or something

  6. We as a society need to stop perpetuating the dangerous idea that college-aged men are allowed to treat women like shit as a part of their maturation process. Rape culture is real.

No one implied that women where going to be treated like trash. The point was if Josh was allowed to have casual sex with consenting adult women, he might not have been the way he is now.

  7. All of this. And then we're also back to the perpetual mystery of why this whole darned family seems to be so bloody boring. You'd expect a reader, an artist, a gardener, a cook, a snappy wardrobe-overhauling dresser, a gadget inventor -- something -- among all those kids. You'd think that just sheer bloody boredom would drive them to it. But there doesn't seem to be much, if any, evidence of creative, analytical or enterprising thought in the whole lot thus far.

John David has his planes, Jill has her "midwifery", Jinger (hopefully) has photography, I believe one of the Duggar boys was into chess, there still is the cringy Duggar Studios production. And, Jessa seems to be into cosmology.

They do have interests, its just that Jim Bob and Michelle don't seem to foster them. I mean, sure... they bought John David his plane and Jinger her camera, but they don't seem to be encouraging these things.

It's like they allow their kids to have interests, but aren't necessarily proud of them. I mean, they have 2 sons that are flying planes... and they'd rather talk about babies. Shits odd.

  8. I noticed this: "Yet Amy continued to keep her loved ones in mind. She and Dillon staged a "send-off" to signify a change in atmosphere for the rest of the evening, after which most of the Duggar clan and elderly wedding guests left."

    So who stayed?!?

Jessa and Ben stayed, to preach to the heathens, of course. ;)

  9. I think Jinger and Ben have more chemistry on display in their Instagram/Twitter video than I've ever seen between Jessa and Ben. Maybe Jessa is avoiding Jinger because she fears something will happen.

But do we have proof Jessa and Jinger haven't been hanging out? We know Jessa has the habit of posting old pictures, and it's not like she lives far from the Compound anyway. For all we know, all three of them could be spending a lot of time together, but Jessa just hasn't been compelled to post pictures.

  10. I'm not gonna lie, i hope Jessa jumps ship for money. Her parents did screw her over from birth after all. But i hope she jumps off completely. I wanna see her wear jeans and go to a mainstream Christian church, and i think that would have been easier to see if she hitched camp to derick instead of Ben.

A lot of people said she married the first guy that wasn't a creep to get the hell out of Duggar town, and honestly i can't blame her, but i wish Ben's family wasn't so fire and brimstone, because she's actually like a sponge. Eagerly absorbing anything that isn't what her parents taught her, because i think she's one of the kids who never bought it. Hopefully after she steps away from her family (trust me, it will happen) she can step into the real world and see that not everything is going to send you to Satan's house party.

I'm probably in the minority, but i really like Jessa. She's vain, bitchy, petty... all qualities you know her family tried to be out of her. They say she's strong willed, and yeah... I can see that.

And hopefully, wherever she goes, she takes jinger with her.
