Love that the lunch people were JUST serving Mr. Johnson. And he thought it was trash! Love it.
"Have you ever tried just being hinged?" Ava was great tonight. Of course THIS TIME not only did the guest of honor show up, Quest backed up all of Ava's stories.
"I don't know who that's supposed to be, but he sounds responsible." Barbara's look of terror at Melissa's Austin Powers impression needs to be bottled.
Man, you could just feel the cold feet on Janine all episode. Yeah, Barbara's card got her over the hurdle, but the kids signing the card being the clincher was so sweet. Well, we knew that Janine was gonna come back to Abbott, but THIS soon? Well, it's a short season, after all.

Idita-Ruth Adventure:
Boat: The 40 Year Old Sturgeon
Wolf's Shirt: Air Butt
Ooh, a banned books episode. And we get more of Bethany! SHE'S Double Boobs! I liked how she had no passion in art. "Look at these penises, they have no joy in them."
I enjoyed Wolf's plot. He has SUCH normal calming breaths, and he's so normal his pancakes were drowning in syrup. Not surprised that his anxiety towards Ruth comes from his own unresolved issues with his own mom. I loved all his country songs, the one he sang at the Iditarod was really sweet.
"No mysteries, I'd like to sleep tonight."

Yep, Aunt Dirt is such a great addition to the show. I'm appreciating plots that show people with sadder lives than hers, like Cheesecake or Doug.
Drunk Beef is certainly a new one, but it is always a good formula to shows to get characters drunk that don't normally do so. I was living for Drunk Beef singing The Humpty Hump.
And I love everyone acknowledging that Moon is the best driver in the family.

Just the image of Ryan Gosling as a perfect Beavis was incredible, and THEN Mikey as an even more perfect Butt-Head!

Cold Open: Okay, we're starting with the alien abduction sketch again. Speaking of replaying hits, Kate McKinnon is back! Amazing that Sarah was the only one NOT breaking. But I'll be honest, I was never a fan of these sketches. The one where Kate was kidnapped by Krinklemaus the Christmas Elf was my favorite of those.
Monologue: It's actually been a while since we've gotten a song monologue. But this one's about Ken. Liked Emily Blunt's turn singing about Oppenheimer.
Harrison: Poor Brad. This is why I don't like being alone with the one other guy at a gathering. Ryan was fun in this. Even if he kept breaking. Again.
Get That Boy Back: This was a fun song. Chloe Troast got to lead a pre-tape song, and boy did she deliver.
Accents: "I love countries and places." Honestly shocked that Ryan played a white guy, his accent sounded more convincing than Marcello's. And I'm shocked that they got the dog from Beethoven (even though the real one most likely died 30 years ago)
Newsnation: "Ryan Gosling dressed as Beavis" was NOT on my bingo card tonight. I was dying every time they cut to him and Mikey as Butt-Head. Loved the King of The Hill capper at the end. That HAD to be the first time Heidi saw the makeup job, since she broke almost immediately.
WU: There, we got the OJ jokes out of the way. Che was having way too much fun tonight. And then Caitlin Clark came on and Colin showed a supercut of Che's jokes about women's sports. AND THEN made Che read jokes she wrote.
And we got a Longfellow spot! The dry humor gave me Norm vibes, in a good way.
Doctors: For once, Ryan's giggling made his character even more unsettling. I completely forgot we've seen Bowen's character before, he was from Nate Bargatze's episode.
Erin Brockovich: Yeah, no surprise that Ryan couldn't keep it together for this, either. Once again, Kenan shows up to save the sketch.
Everyone was extra giggly tonight, mostly Ryan Gosling. I expect a few dress rehearsal versions in the reruns (especially the Beavis & Butt-Head one), and a few cut for time sketches tomorrow.
Dua Lipa does double duty next time.

Barbara of all people using AI?! I mean, it was to avoid Jacob's emails, but man, I was right that being work besties bring out the worst in her and Melissa. I got a laugh out of Jacob's face on using it on Mr. Johnson.
"What's up Autobots? Or should I say DECEPTICONS?!" was my line of the night.
Of course Janine would gather the staff for an after school meeting to announce she was taking the district job. A meeting that could've been an email, she's already perfect for the job. But since that announcement came in act 1, I knew it wasn't gonna last. Well, the look on her face at the end did say it all.
Ava finally found the perfect replacement for Janine: an exact clone of her. If the title is any indication, next week is gonna involve Ava dealing with her. And that was out of 536 applicants. I don't think there are that many people applying for teaching jobs in the state of Pennsylvania.

Oh man, I agree. On the charge that Larry was on trial for, it made sense for just Auntie Rae to testify. But if they knew about the character witnesses, I wouldn't have doubted for a second that Jeff, Richard, and especially Leon would've been on the stand testifying for Larry.

I'd agree. Like I said, the Seinfeld finale was a dolled-up clip show with a thin premise for those clips. Here, the clips served the story, and the trial, while built up all season, was not the only focus of the episode, nor were all the clips shown at once. There were clips that Larry could've refuted, like the Doll Girl or the obituary, but Larry being Larry...didn't.

"The House Falls Apart when Marge isn't There" has been a stock plot since the golden era. I defer back to Marge in Chains in season 4, and $pringfield in season 5.
Yeah, Marge should REALLY know better than to let Homer in charge.

People, it's been an honor.
So good to see Richard one last time. "You think you're suicide material?" was a classic bit.
And yep, we in Seinfeld Finale territory. We started on a plane, and we're at a trial. Leon totally doesn't see himself in Kramer, even Jerry showed up! And the first witness against Larry? Mocha Joe. And then came everyone else: Mr. Takahashi, Alexander Vindman, Irma (and calling out Larry taking the holocaust shoes!), and the list goes on. Man, they brought in some deep cuts, like the doll girl. And of course, the defense witnesses hated Larry, too. Of course stealing Auntie Raye's recipe was gonna bite him in the ass. Man, if only Funkhauser was still alive to be here. (And speaking of which, Freddy was the only regular who didn't show up in this!)
Of course, Leon would be into Seinfeld when he realized it was about Weekly Ass. Jerry had a new girl almost every week. Loved Jerry confirming to Leon that there IS a Seinfeld Fuck Tape. It's 13 hours long and it's only on laserdisc. And Jerry saves the day, points out Pesci Guy was a juror that was supposed to be sequestering, mistrial declared!
EDIT: "GO BACK TO FUCKIN' JAIL, LARRY!" was the perfect line to go out on. You just know Susie is gonna hang that over Larry's head forever.

Hey, an episode about Summers! And he has an identity crisis for being more machine than man!
Yeah, no surprise that all of Marvin's previous partners started a support group. Family Guy (Not The Show) and Co-K-9 were great names. And of course Marvin's perfect partner is him but a Robocop.
Honestly, got a kick out of the lawyer that fell out of a wormhole from 1984. With all the weird stuff this show's got going on, time traveling lawyers is just something that can happen. And a store that sells retractable knives in things. And that multiple people bought knife shoes. And Tom Petty and Prince totally not still alive and running a guitar shop.

Yes, Fat Bear Week is a thing, and I love Beef's enthusiasm for it. And wow, it's because he's been hooking up with Carissa. Also, I had no idea until now that Katmai National Park, the park where Fat Bear Week is held, is in Alaska! This show, man.
Jeez, Beef's vision with the coffee and the donut "dunking" was probably the dirtiest thing this show's ever done. Honestly, this ep was a tour de force for Nick Offerman's voice acting.
I honestly love how Aunt Dirt's mind was blown by how normal it is to be out in public these days. And that Lone Moose has more than one gay bar. Her plot was very heartwarming.
I know the ending was coming, but I got a big laugh out of Moon walking in on Beef and Carissa's bath.

So Hippocampus and Daphne have been hooking up. I like how often she's been showing up.
I honestly liked everything about the war against nature. Honestly loved the ambush by the sparrows with toothpicks killing Stupendous's troops.
I also like that the whole war was risked by Deliria and Pan getting involved, but they honestly didn't GAF until Tyrannis threatened to expose what he and Deliria found out about Zeus. And honestly, Tyrannis looks better with the beard. Count me among the 5%.
Loved the tag with Shlub and Bartleby. The first and tenth beer are free was just a great detail.

I liked Hans Moleman having an emotional support tortoise. And then he got hit in the groin with a burrito.
Marge finally gets a job, aside from all those other times she had a job.
So The Simpsons spoofs The Bear, and woof, that first scene with Marge in the kitchen was stressful as hell. Hell, this whole episode was stressful. Marge was right to be angry that the family was continuing the cycle of stress by ordering from the ghost kitchens every night without telling her. I did like how the narrator brought up Marge hanging this incident over Homer after every following fight in their marriage.

Oh thank goodness, someone already made a thread.
Cold Open: Oh thank god, a nonpolitical cold open. JAJ was playing Ernie Johnson, so no risk of a Trump cameo. Apparently no one is interested in March Madness this year, not even the women's coaches.
Monologue: Band mentioned! And here come the Five Timers cameos...mostly Paul Rudd. Loved the big pop for Paula Pell, and liked how Matt Damon, Martin Short, Will Forte, Fred Armisen, and Jon Hamm all cheated to get Five Timers jackets. But yeah, it doesn't seem that special anymore. I do like how this was about how self-aware they are for pretty much giving those jackets to anyone these days. And well, I wanted more of anyone else to host again. Criminal that Jon Hamm last hosted in 2010. Completely forgot that Ryan Gosling was hosting NEXT week, so this was fun timing for him to show up here.
Ticket to Ride: Okay, I was already sold on this when they brought out Ticket to Ride and Kristen was NOT having it, but the reason was because she was afraid of getting Jumanji'd was the best capper. And right when I was thinking "this would be 100x better if Will Forte was in this," he shows up! I could've easily seen him in Dismukes's part, but I'll take the Robin Williams type Jumanji prisoner.
Pilates: Pilates horror movie, this was a fun one.
Secretaries: Jon Hamm in a sketch! I love 60s humor. And of course Kristen Wiig is another secretary with Trudy. So dumb in a fun way, especially when it literally fell apart at the end.
Retirement Party: Oh, we're getting the rest of the Five Timers cameos in this one. Big pop for Fred Armisen because no one recognized Paul Rudd in the improv troupe. And somehow Will Forte was the best part of the sketch, in a parade of great cameos.
Oh man, of all the sketches to get a sequel, I wasn't expecting THIS one.
WU: I was driving when the earthquake hit, I honestly thought it was a big gust of wind that rattled my car around. I got a big laugh out of Marcello showing up as the Earthquake. And then Kenan showed up as the Eclipse and they pretty much cut a Wrestlemania promo.
Got a kick out of Che saying "Ancient Skank."
Kristen said on Conan's podcast that her favorite character is Aunt Linda, so it was good to see her again.
Go Karts: The moment the parents dropped "bad thing" they were gonna get divorced. The reveal of Troast as the birthday girl was fun. I just liked the escalating tension in this.
Sonic Pioneers: I appreciate the 4:3 aspect ratio. Troast showing off her vocal range by contracting emphysema on air was my favorite bit.
Now, I'm usually not a big fan of Kristen Wiig, or excessive cameos, but I felt like this show was on fire. There was just a big infectious energy that powered the whole show. I was honestly sad we got a "not enough time for another sketch" bit with the band, that's how much I liked this one!

Once again, Brian gets a human girlfriend. But for once, it's a vet that's around dogs. Perfect in every way EXCEPT she's an evangelical Christian. And of course, he was horny and she wouldn't have sex with him and he made it everyone's problem.
And thanks to Road to The Multiverse, we know what happens when there's no Christianity: super advanced science and yet there's still a Sistine Chapel, but Andre The Giant is on the ceiling. But this time, everyone's Jewish.
