Loved that James Bond was forced to play Mastermind. Yeah, Mastermind made no sense.
We've finally parodied the rest of the 80s with the Popples, plus a new Micronauts sketch.

So Phil is sterile. Not surprised. So he lies to Carol that Todd's positive test was his. Again, not surprised. Once again, I gotta say: Tandy, you dumb. But at least he showed regret and apologized. So glad that Season 2 Tandy gets this over with in one episode and not stretch it out for the rest of the season.
Next Week:
Mike is back!
Gasp.

Neighbor: I think therefore I Jam Profound Preserves
Exterminator: (crap, missed it typing out the last thing)
Burger of The Day: To Thine Own Self Be Bleu Burger
"Do you want a lifetime of regret, or an afternoon of mild disappointment?!" Loved how all the great kid characters were in for the quest: Zeke! Daryl! Regular-Sized Rudy! I liked Jimmy Jr being jealous of Zeke and Gene bonding.
Teddy was once again great, but this was Zeke's time to shine.
The two-butted goat being real was a great payoff. "Two tails and two anuses. Just like Noah's Ark."
The flying burger picture finally has a purpose in an episode!

Neighbor: Granny Packs: Luggage For Seniors
Exterminator: Mice Breakers
Burger of The Day: Ring Around The Collard Burger
Regular-Sized Rudy's party was of course lame, but it was totally Rudy. But I like how Rudy had friends other than the kids and Andy & Ollie show up and how game everyone was to do the spoon puppet show.
Loved Teddy in this. "I haven't held a living thing in a while, this'll be good for me." Hell, I think the pigeon plot was better than the party plot. My mom also has a fear of birds that stems from seeing "The Birds."
"Don't do it, Bob! Don't eat your fears!"
"Oh my god I am Tippi Hendron."
"You wish."

Billboard: Easter Peeps: They never go bad because they were never good!
Chalkboard: If Villanova loses, we all lose! (NOTE: Villanova was originally Gazonga)
Couch Gag: Emoji couch gag. Of course no one liked it.
Loved the plane flying by the logo in the clouds.
For the first time in ages, Homer, Lenny and Carl are forced to actually do routine work in the power plant. I'm just as surprised as they were.
I liked how Marge found Grindr due to trying to find an app about pepper grinders. The gay Homer double was a delightfully bizarre gag. Ralph talking as Peter Lorre was also bizarre.
God, I loved seeing George Takei here. But if he's on Grindr, he's cheating on Brad! (there's a plot in and of itself). And they paired Smithers with Julio. Now there's a lazy pairing if I ever saw one. The only regular flamboyantly gay character in the show, and they pair him with Smithers. Either way, it would've ended the same regardless of who Smithers was paired with. And hey, we saw Scott Thompson's character again at the party...then he got married to Mr. Largo. Didn't see that pairing coming. I actually liked how they handled Smithers and Burns' reconciliation. Smithers obviously is Burns-sexual and can't stop thinking about him, while Burns missed his greatest employee and a performance review got Smithers back. Smithers didn't even come out to Burns, but I don't think we needed him to. But I really hoped they would've tied in the main plot with the Casablanca plot better, we only got that random dovetail at the end. I didn't like how the Casablanca plot ended, either.
"What happened to Milhouse?"
"It's Milhouse, who cares!"
"Okay!"
I also think that the montage of Bogart movies at the end was more interesting than the whole episode, but maybe I would've liked the show to tackle Treasure of The Sierra Madre more than some still shots.
"Urgent Yank." Ha.
"Our Castro District is different than yours"
"Tomorrow: A.M. Kindergarten presents Equus" The people that write the signs were on-point tonight.

And we're back! The site was down for me last night and I was only able to post now.
Cold Open: And here's the obligatory Trump bashing/fake defending sketch. It's good to laugh at him and his supporters, who are DEFINITELY crazier than he is. Jeez, imagine the reaction if that Trump supporter being punched was played by Kenan or Jay.
Monologue: Peter Dinklage is, of course, awesome. And of course they shoved all the Game of Thrones bits out of the way now. Bobby as George R.R. Martin is the best thing.
Winnie The Pooh: This started out so well and lots of weird potential, and then Denny The Real showed up and grinded this to a halt. Still not as creepy as Welcome to Pooh Corner. Also weird: Winnie The Pooh being shorter than Piglet.
Naked & Afraid: Celebrity Edition: "Peter's gonna be paired with Leslie Jones, isn't he?" I was glad to be right. We all know Leslie Jones would ace this, and would try to eat & have sex with Peter
Mobsters: Well, like the Winnie The Pooh sketch, this got super weird super quick. But "space pants" got stuck in my head.
Glory Hole Restaurant: Looks like Peter & Aidy took restaurant recommendations from Stefon. Yeah, this was WEIRD. But I love that Peter is 100% game to whatever weird shit the writers threw at him this week.
Game of Thrones: Well, Kate got her chance to play Daenerys here. This was fun, but I kept expecting a callback with Leslie in the dragon onesie (but she wouldn't have worked with the green screen).
WU: Donald Trump has to be pro-choice because he's made ALL the choices. Pete Davison was the perfect choice to comment on Hulk Hogan. He's younger than I am yet still remembers him just as the old guy who oiled himself up in his underwear to wrestle immigrants. Trump jokes aside, this was a "meh" segment.
Underwater Hotel Room: Taran trying his best to be a floating dead body was just hilarious. Then it got more creepy as stuff like Jay ending up there was not really addressed (HOW exactly did he end up drowning??).
Vacation Nightmares: I wish more shows were more honest about their casting decisions. Meh.
Magician: Corporate gigs suck. Imagine that Peter Dinklage is reprising his character from Elf, that'll make this slightly better.
This show certainly lost steam after Update. Not Peter's fault, he was great. We just need better writers. Next week is Russell Crowe. Could be good.

Loved the Charlie's Angels transitions. Amazing how just a couple of notes is enough.
Credit goes to J.G. Thirwell, the composer for the Venture Bros. He's taking over the music reigns this season.
Anybody else get Springfield Gorge flashbacks seeing Archer fall?I did.

Upon watching this episode again, I'd say that theory is VERY plausible.

Well, turns out the promos are true, Archer wants to be Magnum, PI. Unfortunately for him, Cyril's name is on the agency because Archer doesn't have any law degrees.
It was good to see the gang doing actual spy work. Well, they're burglars this week, but I'm glad they're out in the field again. Krieger is still Kreiger, which is of course awesome.
"Lance Biggerstaff!"
"It sounds like a gay wizard."
"I always am."
You just know that Cheryl got a kick out of Lana grabbing her throat there. You saw it in her face.

ETA2: Forgot about the Speed Racer/Inspector Detector bit. I'd say they managed to capture the show's essence. And they didn't have to resort to a gag involving the Mach 5's trunk, which can house a small boy and a monkey.
If I remember right, they did that gag in the Cannonball Run/Fast & The Furious sketch back in the first season.
Loved the bit with Tara Strong as essentially a skanky Twilight Sparkle, and the sketch that explored what became of cartoon characters that smoked.
Inspector Gadget being unwittingly converted into a drone was clever. "Go Go Gadget PTSD."
Anyone else notice Dr. Claw's herbal supplements in the Three Bear's fridge?

Terry dumped Greg? Sacrilege. I enjoyed Stan & Francine being concerned for Greg's well-being...and then it was taken too far. I'll admit, I wasn't a fan of the plot until the Gator-nado started up. Bullock becoming the Doof Warrior to activate a storm will make anything awesome.
You know, I like Stan when he's a supporting character, even when he's disgustingly fat from a 16 burrito a day diet.
Wasn't a fan of the B-plot with Dream Phone either, but I loved that Roger dressed up as Blossom to track down Dylan (who is now old. And not like the kid in the game)

This was hilarious but confusing.
Oh Gary chaining people in the basement bathroom with zero supervision. Who was that butt cheek eating guy ? Are we supposed to know who he was ?
They were Maestro Wave and The Termite. You can see them on this chart under Red Death. ETA: Wes Warhammer and Wandering Spider are under Harangueutan, while I'm not sure who the other two are. Either Gary kidnapped them and are now dead, or we'll see them in Season 7.
-
This might not be the TRUE finale, but this one didn't disappoint at all.
Clancy Brown as Red Death was awesome. Of course, a charming family man that's a combo of Red Skull and Ghost Rider was gonna be awesome.
I loved seeing OG Team Venture again. Col. Gentleman is just amazing. And yes, we have the reason why Kano joined the team, at least.
Loved all the disguises, especially Hunter as Rusty. Even Shore Leave, dressed as Brock, still wanted to be Brock. I also loved the great party that the OSI/Guild stake out turned into. We need to see more of this.
So, Gary didn't KILL any of the other villains, just chained them up in the basement. Where Maestro Wave killed and ate them all. Well, that was disturbing.

We had a Power Ranger sketch, and a Minecraft sketch with god. And they were both fart jokes. SIGH.
Muppet Babies with King Kong was awesome, though. Up until Kermit's gory death, though. And speaking of gore for the sake of gore, that Nick Arcade sketch was just overkill. But yeah, they got Phil Moore to come in for this.
A Terminator sketch about Adam & Eve was interesting...and then they focuses on Arnold's crotch the whole time.
-
A head's up about the finale, it's gonna be like the season 5 finale, in which the REAL finale will be the beginning of season 7...whenever that'll be.
-
Pretty meh episode. Principal Lewis was the only good part of this.

Such a wonderful episode. WHY IS NEXT WEEK THE FINALE?!
Gary's origin! Of course the Monarch's old henchman were dumb as rocks. And we got more Blue Morpho backstory, too. He had every kind of sex with Dr. Z and he never knew it was Blue Morpho in disguise.
Interesting that Monarch doesn't miss his regular costume. Figured when Gary dropped the Blue Morpho suit at the cleaners it was going to be Enzo, and Rusty would run into it, wear it, get shot, and be saved by the Monarch having enough foresight to make it bulletproof.
We have another Marvel spoof villain in Wandering Spider, the Doc Ock analogue. I got a feeling Gary didn't kill him, he just buried the robot legs.

The Mike episode was such a breath of fresh air. To me, the entire show can be called "Tandy, You Dumb."

Kel loved orange soda so much he married it and had a weird-assed lovechild with it. Loved that.
That Schindler's List sketch being self-aware of how dumb it was doesn't excuse itself for how dumb it was. Also dumb: That Skylanders sketch.
The Ninja Turtles talking about sex was delightfully creepy. I enjoyed Seth Green voicing Leonardo (and Splinter).
-
"You take a whiskey drink. You take a vodka drink. He's a hero."
So yeah, Tandy's still an ass and you could tell he's happy he's gone, but his brother issues made him feel so very terrible when he tried taking over Phil's life. I do hope we see Mike reunite with him eventually. Currently, I think Todd's in a lot more trouble than Tandy these days, caught in a love triangle he doesn't want to be in. He's gonna break, and it won't be pretty.
We return...in three weeks.

The gang seeks closure after a tragic event; Melissa and Todd deal with the consequences of her surprise proposal.
-
In short: Everyone's an asshole, and the people that aren't are treated like shit by the bigger assholes. Adam West is still the best, though. I love that his mother still checks on him. Peter was right, nobody was a winner tonight. Not even us for watching.
I wanted to see more of Meg and Chris acting like an old couple. Sometimes Meg does things that justifies the abuse to her. I expected old people to be rude to her, but man, Meg just became a klepto out of spite.
The fat people in the lazy river cutaway was funny but incredibly sad at the same time.

Tonight's episode explores what would've happened on that rocket mission in that Y2K Treehouse of Horror episode. Also, a retread of the classic "Deep Space Homer" episode, except not nearly as clever. Well, the two scientists were delightful, but that's about it. It's good to see that the corporate scientists are just as inept as the NASA ones. The fact that they were voiced by Tom Sharpling and Jon Wurster of The Best Show definitely helped them, their chemistry was fantastic.
I did like Homer & Bart's dilemma of Marge & Lisa leaving them behind. They know damn well they'd be dead in a week without them (as episodes like "Bart After Dark" showed). I also enjoyed their plot about stealing eggs from Flanders, and that donating their own chickens is what kicked off the plot.
ETA: Man does Julie Kavner sound old these days. Not only did Marge sound off, but her mom sounded even older.
-
Neighbor: Footloose prosthetic adjustments
Exterminator: Pest Mortem
Burger of The Day: Total Eclipse of the Havarti
I quite enjoyed this episode. Trapping all the kids into a tight space is a recipe for success, and I even liked the farting stools.
"Come on, be our stool sampler."

S07.E02: The Handoff
in Archer
Milton's back!
Loved everyone spinning on the chairs. It's season 7, they're gonna do that, even when listening to all-out carnage on the other end of Archer's phone.
