But I think most people ask why a waiter works at this restaurant over another restaurant, why a nurse works at that hospital over another hospital, why a lawyer works for this firm over some other firm, etc. Most people in those positions will have an answer to that question.
I think the actors in question would be able to find work without Hallmark. This genre serves a specific audience so some company would step up.

I don’t think you saw them all of the time (and I am sure they had stores in non-mall environments like on NYC), I think it was for grand openings, holidays or big sale days.

I also watched Love, Classified and really enjoyed it. The acting by everyone was a cut above, I liked the familial component, and the different romantic subplots. It featured three different relationships: older, interracial and gay.

The store’s popularity occurred when I was a bit too old. Fashion wise, I avoid clothes where their name or logo is splashed so boldly across their clothes. I hate looking like a billboard.
As a gay man, their advertising certainly was effective. But it’s interesting how those same images are so toxic. I don’t remember any of the controversy (maybe because I am from Canada, I vaguely recall a store in Vancouver but I don’t think I ever stepped foot inside it). The documentary was very well made and seemed fair to me, at least to the people who were interviewed.

I think someone like Chrissy Metz would be wonderful in a Hallmark movie.
I am wondering who from the 2000s or 2010s could become the next big Hallmark actor or actress. I think a couple of the Vampire Diaries actresses have done a few of these flicks. One of the Glee entertainers?

Was the song Rebecca sang the actual theme song to This is Us? It was the performance I didn't know I needed tonight.
I cried at all the Pearsons and Miguel realizing this would probably be Rebecca's last best moment.
And on a cynical note, way to go Big Three for NOT letting Rebecca's illness take over your life. The entire event was arranged around Rebecca.
I lost my own mother to Alzheimer's a year ago so all of this feels very raw to me.
The song comes from the end credits music. Also, Rebecca sang a version of this to the kids. And the tune comes up again when Adult Randall plays the piano about farm crops.

I am OBSESSED with Jed and Ben.

This was the best episode for me even if it does not come close to the classic blizzard ER episode.

I love Baby Jack. Him walking with his walking stick was so heartwarming. And such a good actor! Kate was singing with a lyric about taking 12 steps to the sidewalk and then turning left. He actually took 12 steps before saying left. So impressive!

I am surprised they have not had Danica to persuade Fred Savage to be part of a movie. I know he is more of a director these days but I remember when he would co-host with Kelly Ripa and he was both charming and still looking good.
Lacey Chabert and Jonathan Bennett could star in a movie together, either as a couple or as friends unlucky in love. Same for Hilarie Burton and Chad Michae Hall.
My dream Hallmark movie would reunite Daniel Dae Kim and Yunjin Kim of Lost.

I have been watching movies on a Canadian CityTV which a couple movies each weekend and I have enjoyed them. One was called Written in the Stars. The actress was fine but the actor was so dreamy. His name is David de Lautour. Loved him!!!

I love the Nicky Henry and Evan trio. Evan as a great gunsman is such a great move. I missed the last couple of episodes last season due to my tech issues so I didn’t realize Dennis is now part of the shenanigans. Loved the whole family dynamic.
And no more cases of the week!

Sorry Toby, but She’s All That is a piece of cinematic history. Kiss Me is a masterpiece of a song.
Mandy Moore is just soooo good. Give her the Emmy!

Yes, as a Canadian who watches these movies on The W Network (which also seems to air a lot of Peacock shows like the Saved By the Bell reboot and Girls5eva), I can never tell if the movie is Hallmark, Lifetime, etc.
I could not handle Love in Action after 5 minutes.

I find it so weird how shows like this and Virgin River cover so little time over a season. I will say that I found this show more digestible, no silly murders or endless pregnancies.
The adults are generally well cast, the kids are way more up and down. I am surprised that the show tries to be diverse with its adults, the kids are so white and heteronormative. Is CeCe gone? She was the only kid I really liked.
I hope the third season comes faster, I literally forgot everything that happened the first season.

I have a soft spot for the actress as a Degrassi fan but why is her character so inept? At the same time, she gets criticized for things that are not her fault, ie the wine spill.
But I truly hated hated hated the male. So obnoxious. So. Much. Mansplaining. Beyond how obnoxious he is, I hate characters who are just naturally good at whatever. I like to see characters work at it.
That said, the actors are good. Even the supporting cast. I find them all quite engaging.

I am rewatching The Jane Austen Bookclub. I think it would make a wonderful tv show. Each season can be based on a different Austen novel, as the characters meet for the bookclub and then lead their own lives.

Canada has a much more diverse population than as stated above, particularly in our urban cities. Vancouver and Toronto, where the bulk of these movies are shot, have almost 40% visible minority population. Almost 15% of the nation is made up of visible minorities. Yeah, if you want to shoot in a remote rural area of Canada, by all means do so and hire our talented Indigenous actors and crew while you are at it.

The last Twilight movie, whatever it’s called, features my favourite end credits of all time. Weird how I have such affection for the characters and actors when I did not like any of the movies.

When I heard that Mia’s kid would already have graduated from high school, I felt sooo old.
I am interested. I wonder how Canadian it will be?

This was a wonderful episode. Not too many scenes on tv these days where elderly people talk about life. I do wonder why Jeffrey Nordling would take on this small role.
I appreciated the subtle sign of consent between Malik and Deja.- 23

I don’t mind the introduction of Carrie Underwood. I am not a fan or anything but one of the things streaming shows get away with over networking shows that is there is not such thing as a scene that takes away from some other scene. The show was always going to feature a montage sequence of the kids competing. The intro goes back the boardroom debate. It’s not like there would have been another scene in that place.

I am ready for a Lost reboot. You have an existing cast of core young characters we can follow (and pretty diverse): Walt, Ji Yeon, Aaron, Charlie, Clementine, and Julian. There was speculation that Kate was pregnant when she returned to the Island, with Jack as the dad. And I think the actors from the original cast could return, particularly Hurley.

There is an episode last season where Kevin saw his film with DeNiro and it was awful. And there was a scene where Kevin’s tendency to leave sets and plays was finally getting to be too much.
In terms of the reboot, I guess the show with Morris Chestnut didn’t work out? But in terms of a reboot after a recent ending, does Supernatural count?

Regarding the boss saying he needed someone who would speak Spanish anyway, sometimes you don’t realize what you need in a potential employee until you meet with them for an interview. I doubt there was a Spanish requirement in the job ad.
Loved the episode, and generally loving the season.
Anyone know why the original actress who played Amber could not make this episodes. I knew her from Jane the Virgin.
A flashback scene I would have loved to see: a young Annie or Tess saying Grandpa to Miguel. Annie and Tess, IMO, were the first people other than Rebecca to truly make Miguel part of the Pearson family.
