  1. It was pretty much 3 episodes without William this season since he was just in the first and last minute of 4.03. I'm very worried about what the show is planning for him since he seems to not have made much progress at work (always beaten down by an overbearing boss) and at a stalemate in his relationship with Eliza.

I also wondered if they were going to write him off after seeing Nash basically replace him in the last 3 episodes. It felt like they're hedging their bets by saying that Nash will probably go to prison, but also have him say he'll beat the charges.

I'm pretty content where "FeFe" ended up, even if it was not what I would have written. If she never comes up in any new variation of GA again that's more than fine because it was the character as played by EBR  that I liked and how she interacted with the rest of the cast.

This, 100%. As far as I'm concerned, my interest in GA begins and ends with Arrow and that I have no interest in whatever happens in the comics or DC movies. I do find it amusing that the choices made by the show apparently still bothers people, even 3 years after it's over.

  3. It's not enough that Oliver gave up his life for Barry, Diggle's there to give him everything else that belonged to Oliver too. 🙄

  4. Happy 10-year anniversary of when Arrow started, everyone! Lots of nostalgia happening on twitter, so I thought I'd stop by here since the board is why I stuck with the show for as long as I did. Miss you all and hope you're doing well! (Thanks for still holding down the fort, @tv echo 😄)

I think Kate was a virgin simply because she dedicated herself to raising Edwina and thus repaying Mary for her love and sacrifice since the age of 18 onwards. It's not a matter of anything but practicality. But then again, I'm pretty simple so I heard How Deep Is Your Love playing during the sex scene and never doubted that Kate and Anthony sealed the deal.

I thought so too, but I noticed in the morning after still of Anthony, it looks like he still has his pants on.

(NEW)-- Fan said that, “as a DC fan,” SA and KC were “supposed to end up together” but that didn’t happen, so she asked if that change from the comics was a “big shock” to them.
KC: “This is an interesting question, actually, because, you know, the thing – did I tell you this? What I say – what Laurel says to Oliver in the hospital? … ‘You’re the love of my life, but I’m not the love of yours.’”
    SA: “Yeah.”
KC: “Do you know I said that to Marc the season before, because I was like, I don’t think Oliver’s in love with Laurel. I think Laurel’s in love with the idea of Oliver from who he was.”
    SA: “I didn’t know that. That’s cool.”
KC: “Um, but yeah, what do you think about that? I’m actually curious.”
SA: “I mean, I think that – I think that everyone has the best laid plans. Like, everyone has the best-laid plans. But so much stuff goes into the pilot of a television show. Like, I don't want to yank the curtain back too far, because the creative process is - is something that should be protected. (Aside to KC) Pardon me? (KC whispered something) Sacred. But, concurrently, the best-laid plans are there for the pilot. And then... hey, awesome, you get to do a series now! So, um, you have way less time and make 22 more of those episodes and find the stuff that works. And people have an idea of what’s going to work, of what people are going to gravitate towards. But no one knows what’s going to pop, what people are going to - what people are going to resonate with. And so like – you – you talk with people like midway through the first season and through the second season, and they’d be like, no, no, no, Oliver and Laurel end up together. And then those same people would be like, eh, no, no, no, Oliver and Felicity are going to get married. And it’s like, alright, well, who knows?”
Mod: “It does create a unique experience for everyone, too, because you’re not beholden to a blueprint that someone else created. You guys get to create your own.”
SA: “Yeah, yeah. I mean… there’s a whole – there’s a number of things that we did that have nothing to do with the canon of the whole thing.”
Mod: “As a super geek, I totally understand that.”

Thanks for the transcriptions, tv echo!

It's good to have video confirmation of KC claiming responsibility for LL's last lines after MG had to bear the brunt of all the abuse for them over the years.

And I laughed at SA saying the show switched from GA/BC to Olicity because GA/BC wasn't working and Olicity was what resonated with the audience while KC sits right next to him. We all knew that was why, but it's always nice to hear it confirmed.

In a recent post to her Instagram story in order to promote the latest upcoming episode, [Meagan] Tandy unveiled a plethora of behind-the-scenes photos that featured many of the main cast and a shocking set detail. Specifically, she showcased an image of her standing next to Laurel Lance's grave, a replica of the one seen in the season 4 episode of Arrow showcasing her death and funeral. The rest of the images also revealed a few returning characters to the series, including Sam Littlefield as Mouse, and Nathan Owens as Ocean. View the image below:

Laurel's grave appearing in an episode of Batwoman poses many questions for viewers, such as why Sophie would be in Star City in the first place, and how the appearance of Laurel's grave will tie into the events of the episode. Furthermore, many fans have been noticed questioning if this could be a hint at Earth-1 Laurel's possible return in some capacity, opening the door for Cassidy's return in the future, after crisis. Either way, the answers to these questions are sure to be extremely interesting, and fans can tune in to find out as Batwoman airs its penultimate on February 23.

  8. 20 SLOW BURN TV SHIPS WE’RE OBSESSED WITH

    OLIVER & FELICITY – ARROW

Sparks flew on Arrow the moment Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) walked into Felicity Smoak’s (Emily Bett Rickards) life, and the rest is history. She was a tech genius and he was a billionaire playboy by day and vigilante by night, but together they became an unstoppable team. While everyone was looking at the worst he had to offer, she saw through it and brought out the good. There’s a reason the character of Felicity went from being a guest spot to series regular, and that was because of the magic that sizzled between these two. Olicity’s relationship was a bit of a rollercoaster, up one minute then down the next, and they had a lot to wade through, but whatever came their way, they faced it head-on and together.

I think MG means Season 4 (iirc, he said this before about Olicity in S4)...

I think he meant season 4 also, but for some reason, the other things he mentioned (Bam directing, the concert footage) were from season 6. If he meant season 6, I'm glad he didn't have a chance to change anything about Olicity; it was the only thing that worked well that season.

  10. It grosses me out that KC is all buddy buddy with all those women when she apparently recently worked with Andrew Kreisberg on a project. I wonder if they don't know, or just don't care.

Kreisberg, credited as Saucer's creator, writer, co-producer and co-director, also voices a radio DJ on the Radio 4 comedy, and has previously written for the BBC One sitcom My Family and The Simpsons. He was sacked by Warner Bros following an investigation that lasted less than three weeks.

A 30-minute pilot, Saucer co-stars The Flash and Arrow's Katie Cassidy, alongside comedians Justin Edwards, Desiree Burch and Helen Cripps, as well as Dreaming Whilst Black creator Adjani Salmon, Fraser James, Rebecca Webb and Absolutely's Gordon Kennedy.

Both KC and CL talked about the Black Canary suit recently - what's interesting is that they each seem to think that they wore the first Black Canary suit...

Technically, the jacket LL1 put on was the one Sara gave her at the end of 2.23, so they're both kind of right. At least about part of the suit.

  12. 11 hours ago, tv echo said:

Because actually they do listen to the fans. It's true. So you guys make enough noise - and by the way, thank you. You guys are so awesome because, you know, played a big part in bringing me back after they killed me off."

11 hours ago, tv echo said:

Oh, this is when they killed me off, though. I was like, fine, you suck, but, I'm keeping my jacket that you kill me in and I'm keeping - like, the original jacket - and I'm keeping my tonfa and my mask. And Marc Guggenheim was like, 'Okay, okay, that's fine. Okay.' And then he was like, 'Will you also maybe come back and play with us?' And I was like, 'Hell, yeah!'"

So which story is the truth, KC? That fans were why you got brought back, or that MG had already made the offer when you finished shooting before any fans knew?

Kind of funny that she used to say stuff like "I was professional about it" and "I knew it was just part of show business" when asked questions about LL getting killed off, and now that she doesn't have to stay in the good graces of the Arrow EPs to return to the Arrowverse, she's saying:

  13. Thanks for finding the video and transcribing, TV Echo!

-- Fan Q: "Do you have any favorite moments with, like, Oliver, Felicity, Olicity, Emily Bett Rickards, throughout the eight seasons?"
SA: "Favorite moments... A favorite moment with Emily? ... It's difficult to pick one. Um, you now, when - when she came back for the last episode, that was so lovely, but that was also very s-sad. That episode made me very sad. I felt a lot of accomplishment getting to the end of something, but it was sad. My eyes were literally puffy in that scene because I was sad. Um, so from a happy standpoint, I have a really fond memory of her first day on set, uh, the first scene we shot together. It was a Friday. She was, I think, the first sort of major guest star that we had had. And, uh, you know, she and I chatted for about 20 minutes before we shot our first scene. And, um, fell in love, right there. She's the best."

I never get tired of SA (or EBR) telling the story about her first day on set. The way they both recall it so fondly, it's no wonder TPTB saw the chemistry they had and decided right away to bring EBR back

  15. A great profile of Danny Ramirez:

Danny Ramirez Lifts Off with 'Falcon and the Winter Soldier'
    APRIL 16, 2021 9:09AM by Aaron Couch

    Quote

As soon as the episode hit, Ramirez was flooded with social media messages of gratitude from Latinx audiences. Messages in Spanish, messages from Honduras, from Mexico — even one from a second cousin in Colombia whose young son couldn't believe there was a Marvel character who looked like him, much less one he was related to.

"It's so much more resounding and impactful than I could have possibly imagined," says the Chicago-born Ramirez, whose mother is Mexican and whose father is Colombian.

    And some ratings news:

    https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/falcon-winter-soldier-solid-debut-nielsen-streaming-rankings

    Quote

The Disney+ series starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan racked up 495 million minutes of viewing time for the week of March 15-21. That ranks second among original series (behind Netflix's Ginny & Georgia at 540 million minutes) for the week, and seventh among all programming on Disney+, Amazon's Prime Video, Hulu and Netflix.

The series also drew a bit more viewing time than Disney+'s previous Marvel show, WandaVision, whose January debut drew 434 million minutes of watch time. The 495 million minutes for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier equates to an audience of about 9.9 million accounts, based on the 50-minute running time of the premiere episode.

I ventured into Canadagraph's YouTube page (a terrifying place!) because he posted the screenshots in his latest video. There were a couple that were deleted before he could grab them about SA yelling at someone for messing up their lines, and there seemed to be some debate about whether it was KC for being unprepared or Rila F for having issues with English.

I don't know how that speculation about Rila F came up, but I assumed the post was referring to KC, because before it got deleted, there was a reply to it  from a KC fan asking if SA had anything to do with "what happened to Laurel". Plus, it fits in the previous rumors about how SA and KC would scream at each other on set.

SA was notorious for being disliked by the crew, but I don't really remember that many stories about him not getting along with cast or guest stars. The only exceptions were the stories about him and KC and then later, WH (spread by her mother of all people).

Does anyone know what the deleted thread about SA said? I keep seeing references to it but no details.

Basically that he was demanding on set, rude to the crew, and a diva. Pretty much the same stuff that has been circulating in the rumor mill for years and that he's tacitly admitted himself in Rosenbaum's podcasts. There was also a post about how he yelled at KC for showing up on set not knowing her lines.
