I liked him and Jamie Lee Curtis in the series but mostly associate him with the utterly silly caper Once Upon a Crime that I have watched far too many times.

I loved that series with him and Jamie Lee. I didn't catch it until the early 90's when Lifetime aired it for awhile even though there weren't enough episodes for syndication. I wasn't even a teen yet but there was something about it I really enjoyed. Looking back I think it may have been that even though Richard's character was eccentric like he was IRL Jamie Lee's character and others accepted him in what felt like a more organic way then what would happen in other TV shows at the time.

Richard always came across like he was a nice guy IRL too.

I watched the niece on The View. I don’t understand how a family member is not Wendy’s guardian but a non-family member is? I’ll tape the documentary, maybe that will be explained?

I have a friend who used to be a court guardian.  Like @DanaK mentioned the courts may have decided her family members who might have expressed intrest to be unfit. There's a possibilty nobody in her family wanted to or was prepared enough to take on something like a guardianship of someone in Wendy's condition. I'm guessing the first scenario is the case though.

  3. Look who's facing more felony charges except this time it's for suspected DUI. I wonder if he'll get a slap on the wrist yet again.....

'Home Improvement' Star Zachery Ty Bryan Arrested for Alleged DUI in La Quinta

According to arrest records from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office obtained by ET, the 42-year-old Home Improvement actor was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center early Saturday morning on charges of felony DUI with at least three priors and misdemeanor contempt of court. TMZ was first to report the arrest.

According to the outlet, officials said that officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, allegedly driven by Bryan, just after 2 a.m. after seeing the car, which they believed to have been involved in an earlier collision.

Bryan will appear in court on April 23 in connection to the incident. He previously was booked for a DUI in May 2020. He pleaded guilty to that charge and was sentenced to five years of probation and 18 months of a multiple-offender alcohol program, due to his past DUI arrests in 2004, 2007 and 2017.

She had another season after the baking championship fiasco so I think she's safe.  They are showing reruns periodically.  Hopefully there will be a new contract.

I do wonder if her growing family and the restaurant are now the priority, though.

When I was looking her up after reading the speculation here I found an article that said she signed a new 2yr contract last Febuary.

Trying not to be snarky either, but one of my idols, Gloria Steinem was always a fashion statement.  I feel that feminism includes celebrating the power of the female body and spirit in every way and if I don't feel that someone on a reality show is doing that to their best advantage I think I'm entitled to expressing an opinion on it.  I'm not policing them or their bodies.  I want women to succeed, this is not "mean girls" with me.

I really love one outfit out of all of those pictures more than the others. It's the one where she's wearing the black top and black/silver sparkly like bell bottoms.

My understanding from rumors is also that there were some behind the scenes dramas, which needed to be handled.

That's putting it mildly after stumbling across where the BTS stuff seems to have been discussed during PT's downtime. It was very enlightening especially in regards to the blue banner message.

What was the basis of his lawsuit? IIRC, it was her husband who "removed" her from the show, and when she returned, not only did he dictate her every move, he also demanded they fire the guy she "pleasured". Both Corday & Scott have some ego!

It was breach of contract because she had to vacate the role abruptly while still under hers. Here's what her wiki says.

Reeves abruptly left Days during the show's thirtieth anniversary season, and Corday Productions and Sony TV Entertainment sued her for breach of contract. The matter was settled out of court with Reeves paying an unspecified sum, which Days Executive Producer Ken Corday donated to pediatric AIDS research.
