Yeah, Toni is on tour out of the country with towanda and Trina, but she has supported Tamar through IG. I'm sure they will show up sometime when they are through

Yea it was strange that it wasn't mentioned by her, but Tom mentioned she was Grammy nominated. It will probably come up sometime,personal story week maybe, or she might dance to one of her songs..dwts seems to like doing that

Tamar was very impressive with that quickstep. I think she actually got one of her harder dances out of the way, so it should be fun to see what her & val are up to next week

I get why on surface view Tamar seems similar to Nene; they are both loud dominant personalities that love their 'shady' moments of humor. What separates them to me is that Tamar has more variety. Nene might be cool in real life, but her tv persona is basically just built on being slightly mean & shady. Whereas Tamar can also be quite goofy, silly, and sweet when she wants to be. But I do think Tamar & Val's partnership is only going to go one of two ways. They get on like gangbusters & love it or they can't stand each other...lol

I'm excited for this pairing. She has a lot if Sass and spunk, so it will be interesting to see what side of Val brings out. Although she's not trained, she's got some natural rhythm, so if she's a hardworker I think Val can do some really good things with her. If she's not a hardworker, I see her and val at eachothers throats, especially with her dominant personality. Hoping for the former tho

Sonya & Stacey saved tonight's show. Outside of their pieces where just varying degrees of clunkers. New choreographers should be required to watch film on what kind of routines work on this show...bc a LOT of them have been stumbling this season including Misha Gabriel tonight. That would of been a cool piece to teach in class but just had no pop and lulled as a stage piece. How had ariana been on this show for a month and nigel still doesn't know her name? The clashing outfits really killed megz and dereks # for me. costuming is important guys Who keeps saving derek? That's twice now with no routine & a subpar one...he must have some fans

I think performance factor is much more important than flawless technique because its something that you cant really teach, at least not during this 10 wk show. take danica & liz for example vs amber. Danica & liz had great technique but couldnt hold a candle to amber who oozed stage presence. So, i dont think Val is trying to be less of a technician because janel cant handle it, i think she is fairly capable technically, i think its more that he realizes that she has that performance factor, which is special, & doesnt want to dampen it by drilling her into being concerned about bing a super technician and causing her to lose her performance quality. Danica & liz didnt have much performance factor so one of the only thing val could focus & improve upon was drilling their technique. I think janel goofing off is just trying to make val smile & relax. he has said himself multiple times that he gets super intense & focused sometimes and needs a partner that loosens him up, makes him laugh, and reminds him sometimes to relax. Sherri & zendaya were really good at that and i think janel could be too.

Favorite dances of the night were Janel & Vals foxtrot and Alfonso & witneys samba. i thought lea was a bit overscored...i like her a lot but i didnt think her jive was better than any of the 4 we saw last week, so 7s and maybe an 8 would of been my score bethany is kinda stiff & i think derek is trying to work around it by not moving her around the floor much, and its becoming noticeable. maybe its the ankle injury, and she'll prob do alot better when that heals up. sadies still adorable & thats gonna take her straight through to the finals, but i wonder about that height difference when they get into some of the ballroom routines alot of the other routines were kinda meh to me except kudos to betsey & tommy i thought they both did great for their age better than some of the younger folks...im looking at u tavis

Great foxtrot by Janel & val tonight! adorable & really loved val's choreo

Janel seems to have personality, dance ability, & fans (well at least more than he is use to outside of Zendaya), so i can see why he is so excited. I also hope he doesn't get distracted by being overly determined to win, and just lets the season come to him. Janel & Val already seem to be having fun together, so if that translates to the dance floor, it could be an exciting season for them.

Val & Janel! im excited to see them together. she seems adorable & it will be nice to finally see Val with a partner within a decade of his age...lol

I would roll my eyes so hard if that happened. I love Shania but that would be a little too convenient, but i wouldnt be surprised.

Excited for Val this season, felt like he unfortunately got pushed aside a bit last season with Maks returning. It would be nice to see him with a singer, athlete, or something other than the type A actresses they seem to love to pair him with.
