  1. Like many, I didn't enjoy Amy at all. Looking back I think the main reason is that she felt forced into this episode. Rappaport and McClaine made perfect sense. There's a murder so the cops get involved and a mother would most likely return if her daughter was murdered. But who knows where were going from here.

Wild speculation - Rose got pregnant by Charles's father and that's when she "died." Alice is a descendant and is involved with the reproduction and frame job.

I want this to be true if only so the characters real name is Alice Cooper. It's the little things.

But I think it only exits at his old apartment/Bunny's current apartment and the back alley.  I wouldn't be surprised to learn it also exits on the roof.

Agreed. Now I just want to remember who would be in line with Bunny's apartment. However I am having flashback to all the elevator discussion in season 1 and I'm not sure I want to go down that path.

I don't know if it would go all the way to the roof as then it would be exposed and others would be curious, but it most likely goes up to at least the top floor.

  3. I promised myself I wouldn't binge all the episodes last night. I was in bed all snuggled up watching on my laptop. Then Footloose happened and I just had to go watch on the TV. I am a sucker for a dance sequence. I just die at their different, hilarious dance moves. Then add in the Sparrows and I was glued.

Cut to: 2ish in the morning, about to call it a night when I see flashes outside and hear this weird noise. It was lightning and hail. I live in LA and took this as a sign that I should see this through. It was pretty much on and off lightning and thunder until the morning. The strangest part, at least in my place in the city, not a drop of rain.

Sorry that has little to do with the episode. I'll have to go back and watch. I didn't want to say much as I binged and I can't be certain what would be a spoiler and what wouldn't be, but wanted to get people talking if interested.

    Everybody cut loose!

  4. Yeah, I saw the tweet in question and that she deactivated her account. We're all entitled to our opinions, but as a reviewer calling someone an "untalented swine" even if it is on your personal account certainly seems to indicate that you may not be objective. No idea if she was a critic at the time so maybe she just forgot about it, but I feel like Selena fans probably had that tweet bookmarked.

Also, she is a critic and it is her job to criticize things. So maybe she truly didn't like it. There are tons of shows and movies that people rave about that I can't get into.

That aside, most reviews seemed positive. I also imagine it's hard to write a review when you haven't seen the last two episodes. It's like walking out right before the third act of a play or movie and having to say what you thought.

I'm still looking forward to searching for clues and laughing at/with the trio. Bring on the 28th!

  5. If this is not okay to post here, please delete it for me. There is a thread on reddit going about critic's reviews on season 2. The critics received the first 8 episodes. The Reddit OP does lists the sites they found the review, note whether it has spoilers and if she adds a blurb from the review they do black that out.

So, if you are curious, here is the link https://www.reddit.com/r/OnlyMurdersHulu/comments/vgozrd/season_2_review_megathread/

I don't like that they ended this season setting up a love triangle between Reagan, Josh, and Nelson.

This and also the sorta love triangle between Nathan, Diedre and Peggy. I didn't rewatch the first season, but I don't remember it being this much melodrama.

Oh well, I still enjoyed it enough that I binged through it like others. I thought it was going to be ten episodes like the first season so I was a little disappointed when it ended -- mainly cause I didn't like the cliffhangers that much.

  7. It varies from lot to lot. I've worked at pretty much every network and no 2 shows are alike. Basically the show rents from the lot so the lot wants to book their buildings to capacity any way they can. First show I worked on was on Radford, 4 story building with different shows on each floor. Always managed to get stuck on the elevator with  Andy Dick. I worked on Radford again years later and we had a writers' bungalow and a production bungalow. I also worked at WB where the entire building was filled with Chuck Lorre shows which just made sense so he could bounce back and forth. Stages are also random, sometimes they're connected to the office other times they're like a 15 minute walk. Really depends on how many sets there are. And there's the very odd situation where shows are split between lots. That's a pain in the ass when you have to drive during the middle of that  day to get from the office to the stage. In my experience, the show runner tends to want to have some distance between production and writers to avoid the writers being bothered.

ETA: There's also shows that have more than one writers' room. A and B room or story and joke room. This normally happens when you're punching up a script but also need to  write a new script at the same time.

  8. I don't think Chris's wife is some sort of criminal mastermind, but how did she plan on getting rid of the body? I mean, I guess Fuches? But he's really in no condition to be lugging bodies around.

Categories were best barker, best speaker, best snorer, and four others.

There was belly rubs, couch potato, fetching (my favorite] and ears.

And yes, all of them were adorable. I very much liked how they added emphasis to the dogs with disabilities being just as awesome as a fully capable dog. I had a roommate years back who heard about dogs that had been found in a hoarder situation that was just awful. Larry (the dog's name, not the roommate] was just covered in maggots, malnourished and had to have a leg amputated because of these factors turned into an amazing dog. It was so awesome to see his transformation from a very skittish, unhealthy dog to the sweetest dog ever.

So yeah, I'm glad I tuned it. Nothing like an hour and a half of adorable to lift the spirit.

  10. This is sort of off topic, but it popped up on my Hulu. Joe and Rob do commentary for a show called "The American Rescue Dog Show" on ABC. The dogs who "compete" are all dogs that have been rescued, the categories are silly. Not sure how I feel about the concept, but for the winning dogs in each category money is donated to a shelter so I am all about that.

I thought it was going to be more along the lines of the Colbert rescue dog segments which made me a little ill thinking that rescue dogs would compete to be rescued, but it's not that, so it's cute and yeah for donating to shelters.

And the cancellation hasn't been announced yet to the public. Does make you wonder though what the lag time between cancellation decisions and public announcements are for streamers in irl.

Sorry if this double posts but it doesn't look like my original post showed up.

I wouldn't say that an official public announcement shows up that quick, but once members of the cast and crew are told it definitely spreads rapidly. People start reaching out for other job opportunities and it's pretty obvious what's happening. One show I worked on news actually spread to Deadline before they even got to tell the crew.

I guess it was left out of the show because it never came into play…but will be interesting to learn more.

Aside from the fact that it didn't change anything, I kind of wonder if the decision to keep it under wraps was that it didn't change anything AND viewers are complaining that we give out to many idols and powers so let's just bury this one.

I think the biggest ask this show has made of me yet is to accept that Sally could make a show that gets a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I sort of want an opening scene of Sally going on Rotten Tomatoes and seeing that the critics reviews are mixed but they told Sally the audience review numbers and it's so high because the only ones who watched it were her family and friends (though I think this is before it aired to the public, so there would only be critic reviews]. Look, I just want a misunderstanding and hijinx to ensue!

It might be good to have a Thread that explains some of the "rules" of the games being played.

Sorry I have been up since 8 last night and I'm just trying to make it through this day without falling asleep at my desk.

I admit, I half-expected that they'd catch Rob on the toilet.

Oh my, if they did the Distractor before the Portapotty (I can't remember the actual name] hole, he could have been in one of those. But he would have been gone way too long at that point.

  16. Boo to the long wait, but I'd rather wait than have it rushed before it's ready.

Not knowing what the games will be, how about "Duck, Duck Your Goose is Cooked" or "Red Rover, Red Rover Your Game is Now Over"?

    "Whisper Down the Lane: Spoilers"

    Something like that?

I thought they were going to reveal that Rob WAS the bear.

I'd love the behind the scenes footage that would accompany that. Probably of Rob recruiting Pepe the Prawn to kidnap the scheduled distractor for Rob. Then just cut to Stephen and the Distractor tied up as Pepe cackles.
