  1. I would like $5 in quarters from Alyssa  for the emergency load of laundry I had to do when I spit my coffee out all over my comforter at the Newark line. It's  ridiculous for several reasons. Not knowing that it's not a country, standing firm that it is a country even after Denmark is brought up and the fact that Newark is not a place that people really choose to go. I take Venmo Alyssa.

But bless his heart, I didn't understand anything he said until the last few lines.  Did it take my ears that long to adjust back to "CT" setting?  Did anyone else understand him?

I definitely had to watch it a second time to get what he was saying. I think he also sort of mumbles the first few lines under his breath.

I will most likely pop some popcorn for this. It'll depend on the run time.

All the people who were at the board meeting, someone had a key to Bunny's apartment to get in to do the decorations.

She's not on the board, but we know Uma has a key to Bunny's place. I don't think that she'd have a problem giving it to Howard so he could decorate for her Bunny. I do think Howard is/was up to something, not sure what yet.

  4. Oh, sheesh. Just starting but the Mark guy grew up where I'm originally from in PA. Nervous about what an ass he's gonna make of himself.

Not the first time someone from the area has popped up on a game show. We had one of the worst jeopardy players and a family that tanked on the Feud. Trying to figure out what high school he went to but Mark Smalls is a pretty generic name (I shouldn't pick on him for that, mine is WAY more generic.]

His instagram does not bode well. Yep, wow, that guy.

They probably do keep duplicate clothes on hand. Aside from sitting around in the cold being wet, there's also the risk of tearing clothes inappropriately or even getting blood on a piece of clothing. But she clearly showered as her hair was also clean. And yeah, it's LA, but we certainly have had some rain, so there's the possibiliy that they had to push production.

No way is Big Bunny the real deal. Such disinterest in her daughter’s death and full focus on retrieving the painting? I suspect she may be Rose, but I definitely think the woman in the painting is the real Big Bunny.

2 things that make me believe she's probably the real Big Bunny and why she cares more about the painting than Bunny. 1] She mentions she lives in assisted living. 2] Uma says Bunny has no family. I think her Bunny made the decision that her mom had to go to assisted living and her mother and her fought over this. She ends up going but the relationship is destroyed beyond compare. Since they would essentially be estranged I can see Bunny saying that she has no family.

Amy Schumer was a big disappointment. Sting moved out. They should have hired someone more on par with Sting.

I don't know if any of you watched Murderville, but Marshawn Lynch would have killed in this role. Or bring the horticulture podcasters there. They said they were making tons of money.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think the old fashioned elevators simply stopped where ever you stopped them.  We saw the big lever handle on the wall - you use that to start/stop the elevator instead of pushing buttons.  So, the elevator can stop anywhere, even in between floors.  The question is, where were there elevator doors?  Just at the bottom and in Bunny's apartment, or elsewhere along the elevator shaft?  The architect could have had peepholes anywhere along the shaft, whether or not there were elevator doors to get out on those floors.

I just took a sip of coffee and your comment gave me a mental image that made me choke on it. I just imagined the secret elevator as I see elevators in older movies. It's got the lever to stop and start but it also normally had an elevator operator. I thought what if Bunny had one, who was standing their post, unaware of Bunny's passing, when Mabel, Oliver and Charles burst in. This was a very funny visual to me, but I love a farce.

And I think you are right about the peephole situation. The one that we do see is behind some large clothing cabinet, so I doubt there's a door. There may be other floors that do have a door, but that one didn't appear to.

  8. I'm gonna blame insomnia and not knowing how the podcast works cause I was beyond confused by the first one episode. And my first question was "who do they get this question from?" It was certainly cute so I'll check back later after I've had my coffee.

Is there/should there be a separate thread for the podcast?

I do, however, enjoy all of the Broadway actors being used in this show.  Makes it more New York, New York, and the city was a main character and a flavor of the show that I loved.

Would have been Newark, Newark if Oliver had his way.

Nothing good can come from Mabel’s fingerprints all over that axe. I know Alice handed it to her but wouldn’t be shocked if she’s setting her up and had her own fingerprints burned off.

There's been complaints that their relationship moved to fast because of the kiss. Sure, but I've certainly done more than kiss a complete strange on a one night stand. I don't like their chemistry, but I don't think it's fast. Someone handing me an ax has never happened (that early in a relationship}. I get it's an artsy, therapy thing but it's also a red flag.

Ran into his hutch my ass, Black Eye Cat Guy. His story ought to be good.

I get that this story is outrageous, but I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want a flashback of Howard playing hide n seek with his cat.

Uma said Bunny has no one, no family. Then suddenly “Leonora Folger” showed up.

There definitely are people who say they have no family and it can mean they don't acknowledge/are estranged from the family they do have. This could explain Leonora showing up and only caring about the painting. I wondered why Bunny lives in the apartment then since it should probably be Leonora's. But Big Bunny says she's in assisted living so maybe they had a fight about her needing to go to assisted living and that caused a rift. I remember my dad trying to get my grandma to go to assisted living cause she kept falling down and she lived alone. She fought tooth and nail to stay in her house. My family ended up fine by I can definitely see how this could end relationships.

What if Bunny displayed the reproduction in her apartment but kept the original somewhere safe (clue: savage and 14)?

This seems totally reasonable. People do this with jewelry all the time. Looking at you season one! Not worth the risk of keeping something valuable out, but wanting to have it and still look the part.

The biggest mystery for me right now is why Mabel doesn't remember what happened.  Did someone drug her?  Possibly using the same drug as was used on... oh, crap, what was the 1st season dead guy's name?   (How quickly we forget....)  But Charles and Oliver said she was only gone "a few minutes", so that doesn't seem likely.

I think it's possible that she had blocked it out and it's slowly coming back to her. Lots of traumatic experiences cause this.

    His name was Tim Kono.

  12. I know not to analyze somethings too much, but when the heck did AS move in? From what I remember of the timeline Sting didn't leave that long ago. I guess they could have cleaned it out pretty quickly. But they'd have to fix things and advertise (where ever you do that for penthouse] and AS would have to move all her stuff in. It's really nothing, I just think it would have been a funny background thing to have actors/musicians/famous people in general just walking into the elevator with the realtor or whoever, never acknowledge them.

I really should get more sleep.

I’m thinking the bird must be talking about something other than the actual stabbing. Birds need to hear a multi-word phrase many times before they can mimic it (and this phrase would need it to learn an answer, too.) I think Bunny taught it a secret about the painting as an insurance policy if anything happened to her. She knew Oliver was getting the bird, and the bird would give him the clue. The “Fuck off, Oliver” was still her getting a laugh from the great beyond.

Interesting. Well, if she was under the assumption that Mabel would talk to Oliver (or they'd at least be working in his apartment] maybe "14 Savage" is the clue that the bird has the answer to? Wild guess, but this early in the series wild guesses are my favorite guesses.

  14. Why would Oliver not immediately think of his son when he gets willed the parrot? Isn't his son a vet that would probably know or know someone who would know a place that would take the bird?

Of course that's not meant to happen cause that bird has seen some stuff, but it just stuck out to me as strange.

  15. Someone in the episode 1 thread said they were hoping Gut Milk reappears. It's mentioned in this episode by Ursula. Her description of the person seems to indicate it's Cinda or someone on her team as they all sort of look alike. Cinda certainly has the money to buy ten cases and just toss them in the trash. Not that I want more AS, but I think it would be sort of cool if she poached one of Cinda's employees to get information for her and the Gut Milk shows up in her apartment. Hey, Oliver didn't bring you tequila, but Gut Milk will get the job done just as the same.

What if it's a Nat Tate situation and "Rose Cooper" never existed.

A lot of people think this and I agree. I figured she lived in the Arconia but kept an apartment across the street for affairs. Someone much quicker than me of Reddit pointed out that artists often keep a separate studio area, so it really wouldn't seem strange for her only use the  apartment for however long to work and have an affair.

Definitely makes somethings complicated, but if "Rose" stuck to herself and didn't do anything to attract attention I think she could pull it off. Of course, Big Bunny would need a reason for leaving, but she seems more than able to handle that.

Ok, why does literally everyone here hate Amy Schumer so much? I know she's kind of divisive but I didn't realize how much, apparently. I've always liked her. I loved Inside Amy Schumer, I loved Trainwreck, I LOVE her new show Life & Beth--on which, just incidentally, Michael Rappaport plays her dad-'and would recommend it to everyone, but it looks like nobody here would take me up on that. Somebody enlighten me on why she's so widely reviled?

II do find her funny in certain roles. Trainwreck especially. But I just think she's horribly miscast or mis directed in this role. Plus when you're going up against guest cast like Shirley Mclaine, you just can't compete. Not that they're actually competing, but I want all of Big Bunny I can get.

Will we be seeing Teddy and Theo Dimas again this season?

I believe the actor who played Theo tweeted or gave and interview about being back on set. I hope it's true, but sometimes people just stop by to visit or tweet false info to confuse viewers.

And I gotta believe if they move forward with the Brazzos story that Sazz will pop up.

As much as I love the main three and the various pairings normally, Oliver/Mabel really is becoming my favorite.  There is just something about how Martin Short's bombastic comedic style meshes with Selina Gomez's eye-rolling "You are an idiot!" reactions that is so entertaining and delightful.

Yeah, looking at press photos Short/Selena seem to be big time giggle buddies.

They need her for Oliver’s B-plot since Mabel has her art/Alice and Charles has Brazzos reboot/daddy’s affairs.

I get this cause they also need to keep the podcast alive, but I would have preferred something between Oliver and his son or Oliver and Nathan Lane talking about dips while he's behind bars.
