  1. Anything that makes Chelsea miserable and boo hoo bitter tears down the front of her hideous schmatta makes me euphoric. That's how lousy an actor MCE happens to be, and the circles of Hell Show is sinking.
  2. Sharon had to drag Esther out of mothballs to figure out a Christmas present for Rey Rey. Sharon looks Young-ish, in a rigid sort of way, but the Restless part of her MyPolar lifestyle has been tamped down without Atonal whistling Dixie at her vagina. Though I can see NotBilly using Rey Rey's hostility toward Atonal for his latest nefarious plot to strip the bark off the Newman's for wrecking his Chance Dot Com truncheon.
  3. And that's a bad thing? Sharon parked at CL makes Genoa City safe for democracy and general kookery.
  4. It was more like Chance's wake than Welcome Home the Conquering Hero! party What part of that public display fell under keeping quiet about Chance still being alive? I have a message for NotBilly and Nick -- No one cares about your wounded feelz or latest plans to blame someone else for your ego-driven stupidity. Not that anyone is asking that failure to emote to return to Y&R, it would be scary to watch SB and SC compete in the Botox Derby. Dylan and Det. Rey Rey can scowl at each other while Sharon pulls out her Tapemeasure of PsychoBabble to determine who's the bigger dick. There will be no easy answer for that. The Grueling Pellagra has become Phyllis' personal cage match. The Abuse Lobby and Bar is a particularly brutal boxing arena for the uninitiated. I like Conner Floyd. He playing torn loyaties (Abby vs mission) well, and he was deservedly uncomfortable at the Welcome Home the Conquering Hero! party. You can see him wince when Abby's hovering or barking her expectations at him. As long as everyone believes Sharon is making therapeutically sound recommendations, she can get away with being Genoa City's Ann Landers for the neurotic set. It doesn't matter that she has no self-knowledge or she's talking out of her hat treating family and ex-lovers. Sharon is written as a traveling carnival barker selling snake oil. Friday's episode? It will be no time at all before Sharon dusts off her The Doctor Is In sign and tackles Chance's disappointment and survivor's guilt. Nick goes to Sharon for an honest assessment of his motivations for calling out Locke-ness, and with no information about Nick's earlier behavior, she pats him on the head and says he's a good boy with the best of intentions for those he loves. <blerg> Sharon has no reason to expect anyone to follow her unlicensed prescriptions for better living when it's based on her personal opinion. It was a good occasion to wear a helmet with those sequins ... and body armor.
  5. Regardless of the US security services for invisible protection, once Jack got on the phone and Tela-Phyllis (Why call her first?) everyone and their mother will know Chance is alive and back in GC. Basque separatists won't be far behind to menace Chance, Abby and Bowie Philip Newman Abbott Chancellor. Abby is as single-minded as Chance, but in a different way. She's determined to reunite her family in spite of her blinkered emotional state, and Chance is determined to finish his voluntary mission regardless of his physical/mental condition. I am surprised his mission chief was willing to sacrifice a wounded officer, in not stable mental condition to wait for another whack at his mission -- Another failure waiting to happen. Returning to GC has Chance a little gobsmacked by all the attention, meeting Bowie for the first time and he doesn't seem to be taking any security precautions for his safety. Abby doesn't need Mariah any longer, and Mariah has proved to be still unstable and resentful that Bowie isn't recognized as her child, Mariah will have to get over being used as an incubator by a Newman Abbott Chancellor. Money and manipulative pressure trump all personal relationships when it came to Abby's Baby Rabies. And it's no different with Abby working Chance like a rodeo clown to convince him to return to her imaginary Newman Abbott Chancellor family gothic in Genoa City. NotBilly doesn't care about what he's done to CCC, Lily or Jill and will take no responsibility for the damage done ... Again. He's too busy trying to figure out a feasible reason to hold on to CCC so he can use it to attack Victor/Atonal again. Jill's done throwing good money after bad on NotBilly's boondoggles, self-delusions about being a hero, and reinventing revenge plans against the Newman's. NotBilly's still determined to defend his Locke-ness article, and spoiling for a fight, even if he uses a damaged weapon like CCC and his ruined reputation to do it. Proposing that Jack help NotBilly buy CCC is pure idiocy, particularly NotBilly's trail of broken promises and crockery, stolen money and wasted opportunities while working at Jabot. Jack had a ringside seat to those debacles. When NotBilly walked away taking no responsibility, Jack had to clean up the mess. Lily defended NotNilly in vain and nearly talked herself out of the plum job running Chancellor Industries. And Jill wasn't having any of that either. Jill's mind was made up before she ever landed in Genoa City. NotBilly was outie and to be placed in a position of no responsibility at Chancellor, where Lily would have complete charge of his work output. How exactly making NotBilly COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Chancellor would be a safe playpen for the manchild makes no sense. It's only more work for Lily. Dumber admired Kyle's sportscar. In conversation with Kyle, Dumber boasted she could seduce NotBilly away from Phyllis, and a bet was proposed: If Dumber beds NotBilly in 30 days she would win Kyle's car. If she did not complete that mission, Dumber would bed Kyle. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
  6. Though 'sole' would be correct for another individual. In Victor's case, he wants it all, thus 'soul' is accurate.
  7. Sort of. Chance Dot Com (re-named after purchase by Chancellor Industries, re: Jill) was a media division of Newman Enterprises. Victoria saw the media division as a drag on Newman Enterprises profits without substantial investment, but Victor wanted to hang on to it for his own reasons -- Victor never said why, but I expect he had plans to use the media division to attack his enemies, real and imagined. Newman Media was originally a holding of Locke Communications, sold to Victor by Locke-ness. And became a weapon wielded by Victor and Atonal. Victoria buying Chance Dot Com returns an improved former division to Newman Enterprises, at a substantial discount because of its damaged reputation. Victoria sold the company at a profit and she'll buy it back on the cheap. Victor has retired from day-to-day operations and is Chairman Emeritus on the Newman Enterprises board. Victoria is CEO of NE. He's still a stockholder in NE, and is soul owner of Newman Media. Nothing. Newman Media remains a separate company from Newman Enterprises. Atonal hasn't changed, or he wouldn't have conspired with Victor to destroy Chance Dot Com and NotBilly's already tattered reputation to exonerate Locke-ness criminal past. He's the same conspiratorial menace he's always been, just wearing a costume of cooperation and pretending to be obsequious to his betters. Lily was supposed to temper NotBilly's recklessness as co-CEO and ended up contributing to and enabling the ruin of Chance Dot Com by giving NotBilly to do whatever it took with Jesse Gaines. Jill rewarding Lily with the CEO chair of Chancellor Industries for not doing her job and protecting Chance Dot Com from corporate embarrassment, retractions and financial damage from retreating advertisers is ludicrous. I suppose NotBilly will be given a playpen at Chancellor Industries where he can do no harm, but sit and jealously stew and plot how to undermine Lily and take over Chancellor for himself. Lily likely will move on to run Chancellor Industries (It's too good of an offer to pass up and will cause untold drama with NotBilly as Lily's eunuch). Two media companies will remain standing, but the ownership of Chance Dot Com will be purchased and returned to NE. There will be Newman Media -- Owned by Victor, operated by Atonal and Victor. And a re-named Chance Dot Com (re-named to eliminate the bad press and sullied reputation from the Locke-ness article/retraction), and the former media division of Newman Enterprises will return to Newman Enterprises -- TIIC are eluding that Jill will sell it back to Victoria. I wouldn't be surprised if Locke-ness is given charge of the new media division by Victoria, further infuriating Atonal.
  8. Victoria, with ample assist by Locke-ness, got ahead of Atonal's ambitions for his ladder climb at Newman Media. That's why he's in a lather. Atonal doesn't give a fig about betrayal, as long as it benefits him. With no satisfaction from Victor, Atonal's redemption restraints are being stretched thin. Locke-ness got what he wanted; public exoneration for his past crimes against the Rhodes estate -- He's untouchable. Victoria got what she wanted: Victor/Atonal successfully ruined CCC, NotBilly and Lily with the same weapon they were going to use against her/Locke-ness, and she didn't get her hands dirty. NotBilly's dead man walking after years of humiliating Victoria, she's made an end run on Atonal Adam's Newman Enterprises ambitions with her CCC buyout offer, and Victor will be pleased she's buying back his holy media relic at a damage sale discount.
  9. It worked for Dumber. Kyle couldn't resist her adenoidal siren song.
  10. Consider that NuChance doesn't have much to work with, dialog and story-wise; TIIC have written another over-wrought and idiotic story arc to re-cast a legacy character. NuChance's got two objectives in mind; Get the Spanish bombers that Go Boomed his Special Forces buddies, and complete his mission. Abby throwing herself at him and begging him to return to Genoa City to be a family with their son comes a distant 20th on the list of things NuChance has vowed to handle to an unknown governmental agency doing secret military maneuvers beyond the borders of a US ally.
  11. Been there, done that. Turkeys are easy to dry out. This hack salvaged a birthday dinner (I didn't put enough compound herbed butter under the skin). This year the second casserole of dressing got scorched and we ran out of gravy. <shrug> It's always something.
  12. It reminded me of Ross having his teeth bleached. Another example of what to avoid when on the road to pushing back the hands of time and gravity. I recently saw MS in the movie Double Jeopardy (1999), and she had that same cringy grimace the entire time she was on camera; not a long time, 4-5 minutes, but long enough. <shudder>

  16. Eleana has graduated to a doctor of all specialties. Eleana was there to hammer home for the viewer that Darvon is a good and attentive father to his bio-son, and to notify Mariah that as the incubator she should get real professional help and get on with her life. Just another quirk of TIIC budget constraints. Old school Y&R invested in uniform production standards and lighting. This Y&R regime is not that careful or interested in production aesthetics. The Newman office set design/lighting is very different than at NotBilly's condo. The two scenes in the Newman office were likely filmed back-to-back, thus Victoria's consistent "glammed up" appearance on that set. The condo has lighter color decor and somewhat brighter spot lighting design that works for Lily and NotBilly's sweaty exterior, but washed out Victoria and Locke-ness. Can't blame Victoria for being fed up with NotBilly's constant obstruction of her personal and business plans, and has stopped carrying water to put out NotBilly's fires. Victoria is long done with saving NotBilly from himself for his lies, reckless behavior and perpetual manipulations. Looking the other way as Victor/Atonal/Locke-ness dismantled NotBilly's blackmail threat was prudent on Victoria's part. She had previously warned NotBilly he would regret his selfish activities against her marriage to Locke-ness, but she took no direct hand in undermining him. That was all Victor and Atonal, with a minor assist by Lock-ness. Making the offer to salvage CCC, and cutting NotBilly off at the knees won't stop him from continuing his vendetta against the Newman's and "the mother of his children". It will just slow him down. The buy-out offer also is an end run to stifle Atonal's objectives expanding Newman Media and gaining more leverage to take on Newman Enterprises and her leadership. Victoria does not trust or have any loyalties to the New and Improved Atonal Adam. As a matter of fact, Atonal's direct activities to follow Victor's plan and deconstruct NotBilly blackmail threats only prove that Atonal has become more subtle in his technique to carry out a vindictive plan and carry it out to its brutal end. It doesn't matter that Atonal was acting on Victor's direction, AA was in the thick of every precise step of the plan to ruin NotBilly, and took great enjoyment doing so. Atonal has not changed one iota, only wrapped his malicious nature in a more amenable package for Victor to use against his enemies and forward Newman Media business. Victoria never trusted Atonal and isn't about to let him gain control of a larger piece of Newman Media. She knows Victor/Atonal will use Newman Media to support their personal objectives and turn it against their perceived enemies. When push comes to shove, Victor and Atonal have no loyalties to anyone but themselves. In the past, Atonal has undermined and sexually manipulated people to do his wet work, lies like he breaths, murdered, burned a corpse and destroyed evidence of his guilt, attempted to poison his father and gas his family to take over Newman Enterprises ,,, The list of Atonal's crimes and misdemeanors is endless. Atonal is a much greater threat to Victoria than desperate and on the ropes NotBilly. With the right amount of pressure, NotBilly will knuckle under. Atonal is too busy making his own 3 dimensional plans to be easily taken advantage of -- That's where Locke-ness comes in to act for Victoria. Victoria wears the Newman crown and will never trust Atonal, with many good reasons to back her up. If anyone is envious and jealous it's Atonal. He's been trying to get his hands on Newman Enterprises from day one on Show. If qualification is you mene, Victoria successfully worked her way up the ladder of NE for years and earned her position of authority. Atonal has been handed numerous opportunities by Victor and tried to steal the company from under him more often than not; there's no reason to believe Atonal's personal ambitions for total domination of Newman Enterprises have changed. Newman Media is different in that Victor has the final say. Locke-ness has a voting position but has only played along with Victor/AA's plans so far. There's very little to stop Atonal from using Newman Media to feed information to another social media vendor to slowly undermine Victoria and NE. Considering TIIC showed little or nothing of Hillary 2.0s bio-family (mostly talk) and Sutton's court proceedings was more talking about it after the fact, does it matter? It seems the real objective of TIIC is to install Naya (minus her husband) and Imani as Hillary 2.0s insufferable family on Show. All the better to SORAS Johnny and Katie. Can you see their letters to NotBilly from boarding school? "Dear Fuck Up, Just read Newman Media's fifth installment of you leaving Delia in the car to go for ice cream ... Smooth move, Ex-Lax, and still won't take responsibility. Is anything immune from your Midas touch that turns everything into a steaming pile of effluent? By the way, thanks for the Word-of the-Day calendar. School sucks, but I'm glad I'm not in Genoa City. Gotta' go. Say hi to Lily if you see her. Johnny"
  17. Victor would be the last person to allow himself to be perceived as stingy by the almighty Abbott's. TIIC go to great lengths to upsell mediocre imagery on Show with a constant parade of sequin daywear, constant references to corporate jets and company expenditures, characters throwing bribes around or paying off bribery threats with indeterminate amounts of unregistered cash, international flights on tap to multiple destination weddings, Architectural Mansion Digest and the Grizzly Porphyry Hotel Cage Match decor ... All the earmarks of wealthy people living their expensive lives out loud. And yet TIIC have Jack stop at Crimson Lights to pick up sack lunches for an overseas flight, just so he can tell Phyllis he'll be out of town and won't be able to listen to her complain about her empty bed. Did the Invisible Mrs. Martinez have the day off that she wasn't available to make a picnic luncheon to fortify the Abbott Recue Party?

  20. Victor was so pleased with NotBilly begging for mercy, to protect the CCC name and keep Lily out of harm's way, but only way to stop NotBilly from continuing his vendetta is a stake in the heart, followed by burning the corpse on a tire fire. Letting NotBilly sweat it out, waiting for Victor's answer, while Victor allows his plan to slowly come to fruition is delicious.
