I loved MEK's intelligent, dry wit, and focused passion (Suppressed warmth -- Absolutly! His business-like chemistry instruction with krazy-pants Max Rayburn was amazing). MEK wrung import out of every Pratt-astrophic line of dialog or idiotic Winters-adjacent story arch he was involved, It's unfortunate TIIC didn't use Dr.Neville to flesh out and humanize Ashley -- They worked very well together. We'd probably not have the two dimensional Innovator of the Year Stalks the Earth we're stuck with. MEK and BM would be terrific together; veteran actors with talent and personality. They would be a much needed distraction from the Nu-Adam summer juggernaut being launched at already skeptical and exhausted viewers. I don't understand the point of collective in Jabot Collective or when Ashley was going to Shanghai the same name for her fashion line if neither company was going to follow the obvious parallels to Soviet Collectivism or Communist Constructivist artwork. Is it at all possible no one in production or the writers room knew what collective meant in post-modern parlance? Each time I hear a character say collective, all I can see is ... "The Jabot Collective Announces the Cult of Personality Eye Shadow Palette Collection! Marx Charcoal, Engle's Rainbow, Lenin's Blue and Stalin's Neutrals … For the Authoritarian in You!" Or some such idle nonsense …

It wouldn't be a bad romantic story: Tracy does research for her new book at the hospital library and meets Dr. Neville; they are charmed by each other and he helps her with he research. Becoming more than friendly, Ashley comes back into town to kick Jack in the Comintern over the failed marketing for Jabot Collective ... "Join Us On The Collective Comrades! Free sickle with every cultivator purchase!" … Ashley sets her sights on Dr. Neville to deliberately undermine Tracy's relationship with him. Semi-Dramatic Rom ensues -- Dr. Neville spurns Ashley's advances, knowing she's dulling her knives on another Abbott sibling because it's a life-long bad habit for My Beauty. Ashley no likey being publicly exposed as a vindictive neurotic. Tracy takes the arm of a intelligent, loyal man that loves her. It won't happen, because it's more fun to frustrate the viewer with damaged, anti-matter couples and triangles (NotBilly/Victoria, Nick/Chelsea, Rey Rey/Sharon, Rey/Sharon/NuAdam, Lola/Kyle/Dumber) than to write something romantic for a rootable legacy character.

… On advice of counsel … It was a dark and stormy Friday night at the Dorothy Parker Memorial Piano Bar. I was singing Barry Manilow medleys between Kamikaze body shots off the new Lido Deck shuffleboard pro, and participating in the Showgirl Semi-Finals, from 11:30a to close. As I am wont to do, I wrecked the pro. He was still spitting feathers when he jumped ship near the southern tip of Cuba. He'll have an easier time of it with the Marines at Guantanamo Bay. … That's my story and I'm sticking to it … As for who shot Cheek-Sucking Adam, <shrug> the usual suspects are lined up for Chief Williams to question. I wouldn't waste my manicure or ammunition on a Newman. It's much more entertaining to have Adam's past and future enemies slice into his delicate amnesiac feelz, while Victor clutches his pearls, conjuring a new emotional manipulation to pry open the memory of his real son. Game recognizes Game -- That's all this reunion tour is about … Victor getting a second chance at owning and using the single-mindedly manipulative and self-preserving Adam to run the Newman Enterprises empire, bequeathing the leadership of Victor's autocracy to his ruthless biological heir, corporate successor and bootful of retribution. Victoria has the most business experience, wanting to manage Newman as a respected corporation, not a brutal dictatorship laying waste. Nick has proved to be the Missing Link, a mouth-breathing public masturbator, refusing to take his place on the dead branch of the evolutionary tree; Nick is of no earthly use to Victor until he prostrates himself to his father's dominion. Abby is untrustworthy, insecure and reactive, prone to emotional outbursts and persistent whining about being left out -- She's white noise that only desperately single multi-specialist doctors and pimps pay any attention to. Adam is Victor's only hope for Newman world domination.

Considering NotBilly didn't want Adam Go Boom to remember anything, and heaped as much unwarranted guilt and blame as one person could carry was interesting. Imagine meeting strangers that are either shocked by your appearance or hate you on sight? I don't think the confrontation is going to shake out the way NotBilly intended. As long as TIIC are determined to Frankenstein stale servings of I Blame Everyone Else For Everything Bad That Happened To MEEEEE! into NotBilly's over-burdened It's All About MEEEEEE! psyche, Victoria is going to treated to non-stop sexist crap 24/7 from the men in her life. I don't care who or what NotBilly blames for his misfortune. Shifting the blame for his failure to launch is on NotBilly's plate. No one else. NotBilly would wish so much worse on Adam, if the waste of skin could count that high. Boo fucking Hoo, NotBilly ... "And the cake was left out in the rain …" NotBilly left out his significant contribution to the Delia tragedy. He blamed himself for leaving Delia alone in the car, until he found out Adam was driving the car that killed her, and then it became all Adam's fault -- You've conveniently justified laying all the blame of Delia's death at Adam's door, and have absolved yourself of all responsibility. I have no love for the previous Adam incarnations; their outpouring of neurotic retaliation against Victor by taking it out on Newman/Newman-adjacent persons was exhausting and repetitive. Adam's inexhaustible hatred only proved the character had one note, one plot, one single-minded path to follow and nothing more. Each time TIIC wrote a fork in the road for Adam's revenge, he followed the well-trodden path. Adam has never had the courage or desire to change the course of his life. Adam Go Boom's kind-of a different person from the earlier Adam's, but the character's innate predilection for reading his marks and telling them what they want to hear is true to form -- Who's he working with as he sets up the Newman's? Hmmm ... That's what happens when you get in proximity of the hair glue fumes, coy inquiries, knowing smile and leading questions. Erections'R'Us NotBilly needs a lot of room for all his feelz to run themselves into exhaustion. Too bad he's such a lousy shot every time he takes a whiz … Couldn't hit that fire hydrant if it was the broadside of a barn. Their legal issues were concluded quickly, with Paul Williams capitulating to the corruption of the entire Rosales bloodline; What's the point of arresting them on a paltry attempted murder charge and obstruction of justice when you can get them for higher stakes and throw away the key -- Chief Paul Williams reads like a Garfield comic strip. Rey Rey looked like he might be conflicted being as morally deficient as the rest of the clan, but they disabused him of his presumed martyrdom. Rey Rey's true love was his job until he met Sharon and then all fealty to the law, his renewed marriage and family collegiality was quickly abandoned for The Golden Cooter. I needed to decontaminate. The cell phone works in both directions, Abby. If you think you're being left out of the Newman News Cycle, take a subscription and call every day. I can't feel sorry for Abby when she makes no effort on her own. >.< If Rey Rey wants to ride the GC Town Bike ... It looks great with all the floral chintz and tchotchkes banished.

Adam preyed on Victoria's insecurities (of which she has a dispatch box brimming with vulnerabilities to be used against her) and Victor's Thunderdome business-style running NE (Three siblings enter, the one not bleeding to death leaves). I don't recollect Adam going after her children, except Victoria bringing home agitation and Victor-generated self-doubt that poisoned the atmosphere of the Turquoise Suburban Prison. I'm not surprised NotBilly is thumping his chest, making grunting noises, playing Victoria's White Knight. It fulfills two purposes -- NotBilly demonstrates to Victoria that he's her defender from the antagonistic Adam that did everything in his power to undermine her position at NE and in Victor's affections. And NotBilly won't let Adam be absolved of killing Delia, destroying the evidence, covering it up for months and trolling NotBilly online out of misguided guilt (Sorry I killed your daughter, but not sorry I keep rubbing salt in the open wound). Certainly NotBilly blames Adam for everything NotBilly did in response to Delia's death; blames him for the affair that blew up his marriage to Victoria, and all his other personal/career blunders. Adam returned as Gabriel and destroyed NotBilly's relationship with Chelsea, and the cock-blocking goes on and on … NotBilly can justifiably hate on Adam, but remaining blind to log in his own eye makes NotBilly no saint by a long shot. Victor brings back Adam, not only to make up for his Chloe-related miscalculation in punishing Adam and Chelsea for wanting lives of their own away from his dominance, Victor wants Adam back in GC, sans-amnesia, to run NE. Victoria has proven she isn't Newman enough to head NE when she has allowed NotBilly back into her life; a situation Victor cannot abide. From your mouth to God's ear ... Apple cheeks (Did JT get a facial peel?) and one of those May I speak to your manager? hair cuts … JT's got to be a lousy tipper when you see the Fantastic Sam's final result. Adam saving Sharon when she burned down The Ranch was not so clear cut or so simple as she described or as TIIC would like the viewer to believe. The fact is that Sharon remained MyPolar as a rabid weasel post-Ranch fire, right on through the Marco doppelgänger saga, Ol'Hammertoes and Gabriel/Adam, Dylan the Wooden Boy and SullyCAN, and Adam Go Boom -- She's only been medicated and graduated as a Doctor of Runestone Psychology Knowledge for the last 15 (plus or minus) months, Adam has been Go Boom since 2016. <shrug> TIIC need Sharon to be beholding to Adam, real or imagined off the storyboard, pretending he's a human being with warmth and feelz and needz. And Amnesia Adam (or Adam Playing Everyone For Fools) has got her believing she can reach into his wounded psyche and heal him … As only Sharon knows how to heal. Let's see … Nick, Rey Rey, NotBilly and Amnesia Adam … The Swinging Dick Brotherhood, all chasing after, defending, protecting or jumping on the same vagina. I dare say it's going to get aggressive and crowded. There's an old saying about threesomes … or in this case, fivesomes: Someone is left unrequited … The cheese stands alone. Nick has plenty to be worried about. Victor has fixed (read: paid off) Adam's previous Go Boom legal issues. Once Adam get's his <cough> memory back and feet on the ground, with Victor's blessing, he will displace Victoria at NE, and be crowned Victor's consiglieri. Then Adam will finish off Nick and take CAN back to live with him on the redecorated Tack House (a major decorating improvement) … CAN is catnip for Victor and Sharon, and they will pretend to be torn, but support Adam taking possession of his son. Nothing like boinking in damp swimsuits on clean bedding. Dumber may as well announce her plans out loud as she's telegraphed her every move so far. Try a little stealth, and make it entertaining when you faceplant, Dumber. Dumber's a dope, daughter of a lummox and a honey badger -- She's no genius, but has proven to be selfish and destructive to her own ends. Adam's a whole other hybrid, and has the historic bona fides of his hostility and unforgiving revenge against all things Newman. Whatever game Adam is playing with Victor (amnesiac) he's returned to GC to take what he can squeeze out of Victor, or (not an amnesiac) has returned to take his pound of flesh because of what Victor took from Adam before Go Boom. Whether he's an amnesiac or not, so far everyone is operating as if Adam is an empty vessel needing to be told about his past … Their version of the past. Victor has whitewashed his control issues and manipulations in Adam's life. Sharon has had her entire MyPolar history laundered to rewrite Adam as some sort of humanitarian to the mentally ill, stray animals and those that have had their memories wiped clean and in need of a bruising reeducation in the nature of Adam Newman. Even if it's raining anvils, Victor will wave off or over-ride any of Nick or Victoria's cautions that Adam has returned to destroy them all. Hold the creamed herring. I'll take mine smoked or pickled on pumpernickel.

Today is Mother's Day. You're not alone if it's a difficult day because of estrangement, death or distance. Wanting to try to reconnect by establishing a response based in values instead of emotions isn't so simple when history is filled with pitfalls, pain and loss. Sometimes accepting what cannot sustain us is the best course of action. Perhaps a call or text wishing them well is enough to start future conversations. Remembering the dead is appropriate, no matter how long they have been gone. Acknowledging those that have taught and stood by you is the truest expression of Mother's Day. You know what is the right thing to do.

Mercy, that took me through a worm hole! I almost didn't find my way back. I've detested the character since Adam first came to Genoa City with his neurotic ax to grind against all things Victor Newman and Newman-adjacent. Adam's all-encompassing pathology is his only characteristic. His few detours into humanity are short-lived because it's one and done. No one and nothing matters as long as Adam can find an inkling of satisfaction crushing chosen victims under his boot heel. Watching a scenario where Amnesia Adam plays Sharon and Victor for fools and then implodes their lives is the same old Adam with this year's model. Adam taking off all Victor and Sharon's lug nuts, leaving them stranded is appealing, but it doesn't end at dirty tricks and having to flag down a hay wagon to get back to town. Adam goes the extra mile; your accounts are wiped out, transferred to an inaccessible Micronesian bank account. Adam finds out he killed a child on a dark road and covers up the crime to eventually troll the grieving father online from a synapse of guilt … It doesn't end with Adam. He has to rub salt into the wound he just opened, and then sits back to enjoy the suffering of his target. No amount of revenge can satiate the gaping maw in Adam's twisted psyche. Sharon has been playing the Boho Suburban Mom for so long I expect to see her wearing elephant hair bracelets, Indian toe sandals with her satin boyshorts, amethyst crystal point earrings, trailing a cloud of patchouli, with dusty dreamcatchers hanging in random corners of the cottage. Her grandstanding community college psychobabble infuriates me. What has she ever done to help anyone where she ignored all the obvious signs of danger, and created a more hazardous situation? You look fabulous in that outfit; it accentuates your gams, and Doc Marten's are the perfect sartorial touch. We'll chase that cheek-sucking Nu-Adam through the brambles.
