  1. I can't blame Vicki for not wanting to interact w/ those women. She was very defensive this season (more so than her default defensiveness). She had good reason to feel defensive. She was piled on.

I never really liked Vicki. She started to grow on me a little last season.

Now, I just feel sorry for her. No one deserves to be treated the way she has been treated.

In real life, I absolutely wouldn't blame her (though I think she brings it on herself). On a reality show? Yes, I blame her. In exchange for money, she has to interact with and vacation with women she doesn't like. Part of the job. If she gets to the point where she refuses to film with others...well she gets on dangerous ground. No one is irreplaceable on these franchises, even OGs. I don't think she'll get to that point, but if she makes big demands about what she will show and what she will not show...that is usually the beginning of the end for a HW.

  2. Yeah, tonight's episode convinced me Brooks is lying and Vicki is in on it. I don't think Shannon was lying about the Terry story. And if Vicki is lying on Brooks' behalf, she knows the truth. She probably thought if the world thought Brooks had cancer, they'd like him.

Plus, Vicki's reaction about the imaging place was bizarre. She was all "oh okay well I wasn't there." Who says that? She knows they are close to getting proof he is cancer free and wants to dissociate herself from the whole thing IMO. Plus she started insulting Brianna - yeah she knows the truth.

I do love when they say one another's last name though - Vicki said Shannon Beador several times in a row. Ha!

Man, Meghan is thirsty. She is just as much as a shitstirrer as Tamra except brighter.

Lol @ Vicki comparing herself to Jesus on a cross. Don't ever change Vicki!

  3. Thanks for the explanation about where they're leading the walkers. It is good that they'll be farther away but they won't be contained - so can't they begin to walk back? I'm disappointed Rick didn't take advantage of the walkers being in the quarry and trapped - perhaps light them on fire?

  4. Is there another fear the walking dead - plane edition? Huh?

That was...strange and not very enjoyable. Maybe I'm still suffering from fear the walking dead PTSD. The black and white did not work for me and it was choppy.

Rick must be incompetent because Salazar played follow the leader with a couple thousand zombies last week and he did it with essentially no help and little planning. By the time Salazar is a couple of years into this he is going to be using flying flaming zombies as weapons!

Did Sasha signal during one of her turns? Gotta love following traffic rules when the world has ended!

Is Rick okay in the head?

Please kill that blonde girl Rick wants to bone.

Exactly where do they want to lead the zombies anyway? What is the plan?

  5. And she chose not to.  Maybe she gave up after what she'd seen.  I don't blame Madison or Travis either; they don't know how fast she'll turn.  I think Travis would look at it as fulfilling her last wish; to drag it out, to argue with her, would prolong her suffering and Chris's. They are all in emotional shock.  It wasn't particularly emotional for me because I hadn't built up any investment in Liza, but I don't think it was a heinous act or anything.

Who are the thousands of people?  Most of LA is gone.  Daniel released the zombies - it was his plan - and though I don't think he cared about collateral damage, I don't see why he wouldn't have thought the soldiers could hold them off.  Besides, they (Daniel, Travis, etc) knew the soldiers were going to leave; best to try now when they at least think their family members are in the compound.  I just don't see it as an overtly evil act - unlike Strand, who can blithely walk by people begging for help because they don't have anything to offer him.

I would be more surprised if they had a perfectly conceptualized plan with no risk to themselves or anyone else.  Except for Daniel, these are teachers, students, etc., people who've never been in a crisis situation - drug problems and divorce, that seems to be it.  For me, it's about do I find their actions believable in the context of the story, which I do.  I don't have to like all of them, and I don't on original WD either.

WRT to the yacht, I don't want them cooped up on it with no one to talk to but each other.  It would make more sense to me that they would try to find some kind of civilzation or encampments; I'd like to see what's going on elsewhere.  TWD often feels claustrophic, I hope FTWD will open things up a bit.

Yeah, she chose not to and that's what makes me think she was in that moment acting like a shitty person.  I don't think she was evil, but certainly I do think she made a really bad and selfish decision as a mother.  The whole thing was very rushed in my view - like they wanted to add something dramatic for the end because it wouldn't be exciting enough for us without any deaths.

All of the people at the base for one - they are innocents, just like Grismelda and Nick.  And Salazar basically guaranteed their deaths to maybe save his wife who likely had no chance of surviving her injuries.  But, it is in character for him, so I'll give the writers that.  He has tortured people before - I think he is supposed to be a bad person.  And then the zombies will presumably continue on their way, looking for others to kill.  Even if I am to buy the BS from the writers that LA went from millions of people to a couple thousand in a week (where are the bodies or zombies?), they have shown us that there are pockets of life.  Still a crappy thing to unleash all of the zombies when they will likely kill and destroy, and may eventually walk their way to places where there is human life.

  6. Liza told Daniel how to care for Ofelia, and she told Chris she loved him. She knew first-hand (from the infirmary and from Dr. Exner) what would happen to her: "I've seen what it does. The bites don't turn you, but the infection's not treatable. The infection kills you like anything else. Then it happens. It doesn't matter how you die, you come back. We all come back. Don't let that happen to me. Don't let our son see that, okay? "

Unlike most of the other characters, Liza (and Dr. Exner) gave important information to the others. I personally couldn't fault anyone for suiciding out of the ZA—least of all someone who's been bitten and might kill her own child.

I don't consider telling Chris she loves him to be anything resembling a goodbye and I don't think Chris did either hence his utter shock and horror when finding his mother's dead body.  I know that she took care of patients for a week or two.  It still doesn't make me think that everyone would think that there is absolutely no solution, that no one is immune to this virus, and that she would want to kill herself before she even got flu symptoms.  We're two weeks into this - I don't think all of human hope would be gone yet.  She doesn't want to turn - okay that is understandable.  But, she had time to explain to everyone what was happening, including her son.  If this was about not hurting him, I think it hurt him much more to hear a gunshot and for him to find his mother's dead body on the beach.  I think it probably hurt him much more to think of his dad killing his mom.  She had an hour to spare to at least tell Chris what was happening.

A scratch? There was a set of bite marks -- four upper, four lower -- on Liza's right side after she had to fight off a zombie during their escape.

Okay, my bad.  I watched the episode once and when she pulled her shirt up, it just didn't look that bad honestly.  It looked like a scratch.  Not like when the zombies take a chunk out of someone's arm or something.

  7. That was terrible. I get not wanting to be a zombie in front of your kid, but she doesn't tell him goodbye?  She doesn't wait like a hot minute before asking her ex to shoot her in the head?  This is the beginning of the whole thing.  I think it is unrealistic that Liza reacted that way - especially because the zombie didn't take a big bite out of her arm - she basically had a scratch.  She is that certain that a scratch is enough?  To be honest, I'm not even sure why she thought it was a zombie scratch.  Just totally unrealistic.  And then Madison and Trevor, after two minutes are all "K, I'll shoot you."  WTF?  And why did they kill the only semi-interesting character?

Madison is terrible. Just terrible. The expression on her face never changes. She sees someone getting eaten - blank stare. She shares a kiss with her boyfriend - blank stare.

I was so excited about this show, but I thought it was terrible.  They didn't tell the story they said they would tell, they didn't take advantage of being in LA, and they disrespected the audience by giving them the cheapest, shoddiest product to make a quick buck.  They had their plot points in mind and wrote around that, at the expense of the script and characters not making any sense.  And now, after six episodes, we are basically back where TWD started, except with boring characters and bad writing.

By the way, these are horrible people.  They are okay with killing thousands of people for the off chance they can find Nick and Griselda?  And they don't even bother to close the gate of their own neighborhood?  They should get rid of the cast.  They should get rid of the writers.  They should start all over again.

  8. The cufflink/diamond watch thing was weird - it is the end of the world and the military is aware of this and has a plan to kill everyone, yet a soldier is enticed by items that have no value in zombie world? Okay...

  9. I know this is a show that is based on fantasy but the way people act is so unrealistic to me.

The world is ending so you get dressed up and break things? Wtf?

And what is with speaking in metaphors? Like the guy with Nick? Who talks like that? And Ophelia's mom? Again, the way she was talking - like she is someone on a tv show, not like an actual person. All the dialogue is very obviously lines on a tv show versus anything natural or organic.

So many holes. The military plan is to kill everyone except themselves? Why? Just because it is an evil thing to do and makes for a plot?

Nothing is organic on the show.

  10. So disappointed with this show. I was so looking forward to the beginning of the outbreak. Instead they just went straight to The Walking Dead: Los Angeles (but with terrible characters and writing).

I also totally missed Nick using the morphine drip. I wasn't paying too much attention but I thought he was under Hector's bed because he knew Hector was dying and wanted to speed it up or be there when he turns to kill him. Lol man was I wrong!

  11. In the TWD universe Zombies don't exist in fiction or legend like vampires and Zombies do in our world.

The concept of the dead rising as monsters is completely foreign to TWD characters.

It is like the difference between not believing in Santa Claus and never having heard of him.

I get it, but you don't have to hear about people eating people to know not to approach someone feasting on flesh. It is common sense, not something you have to hear about.

  12. Zombies don't exist in the TWD universe. On TV, literature or anywhere else. The creator already confirmed this so them not first thinking "Zombie!" makes sense.

That is true, but I still think they should be way more freakd out. Zombies "exist" in our realm the same way vampires do. Neither are real, but zombie or not, if I saw someone eating another person I know I wouldn't be like "omg are you ok? Let's talk about this! You'll get better."
    • Love 4
  13. And why are people not talking about this? Long looks and vague references are insane in this context. If I was seeing this, I'd be having long conversations that would go something like: "OMG people I know are no longer looking or acting human and they are trying to eat any flesh they can get their hands on! How did this happen?? What makes them them turn? How do I know you won't try to eat me? Let me turn on CNN. OMG my coworker just tried to eat my face! *sob uncontrollably*"

  14. Seriously how dumb are these people and how can they possibly stay alive for long?

    - They see a walker and clearly know it is dangerous enough to run to get gun, yet they run outside and leave the door open? Wtf yes please leave your door wide open for all the undead!

    - I am so tired of them trying to converse with the things eating flesh? Like wtf??? You see someone eating innards and you go up to them all "Joe! Are you ok?" No, you can safely assume Joe is not ok and the big wounds on his head, his glowing eyes, and dead looking body parts should give you a clue about that.

    - They know how dangerous these things are yet the blond stands there, an inch away from grabbing distance? Seriously? She deserved death just for that idiotic move.

    - Yes, don't tell Alicia (had to look on the thread to figure out her name) anything. Wouldn't want to scar her. Much better to wait for her to be attacked or have someone chomp on her flesh.

    - Travis the dumbass thinks all people need is medicine! If you are killing people by ripping them apart, then what is there to come back from? Like let's say you knew someone who "got sick" and tore apart/ate a dozen people? Would you think or ever trust that medicine would make them human beings again?

I HATE when TV shows dying animals. Just no. At this point, I would have taken anyone from the group dying over that beautiful dog. :(

Why is the current wife such a bitch to the ex while the ex tries to make nice? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

If Nick isn't showering now, what is he going to look like when he this becomes the walking dead world?

  15. Is it weird that watching somebody puke grosses me out more than zombies eating people?

In theory, at least. It's not like most of these zombies actually eat anybody anyway after they bite them.

Are L.A. zombies all vegan or something?

That is a good point!  This is LA.  The reason the zombies are just biting and leaving is because they are watching their figures.  Also, it's tough to lead a gluten free/pressed juice/organic/vegan/kale/flax seed infested life as a zombie!

  16. You know, if all hell was breaking loose and I saw the undead eating people, I probably wouldn't want to talk about it. I would just make cryptic references and would avoid eye contact with loved ones. And I'd encourage my family to stay inside, but I wouldn't want to tell them why. I wouldn't want to be like "don't go outside because someone might eat your face." No, I would just rely on my freaked out expression to convey that message. Why would anyone talk about the dead feasting on the living? Such a downer of a topic. Best to avoid it.

Oh and do these walkers seem extra strong to anyone or is my memory failing me as to their strength on TWD?

  17. Everyone sees something different, I also thought she was being sarcastic the fact she only has 11 supports that in my opinion.

Yeah no doubt in my mind she was being sarcastic. The way she paused and stared at the camera a mock serious way, knowing the viewer knows she has a shit ton of bathrooms...yeah sarcastic.
    • Love 23
  18. Of course! She kinda said it like she thinks everyone does. She also said 14 bathrooms is obnoxious. OK then.

I thought she was being sarcastic.

David is such an ass. I feel so bad for Shannon. She just needs to divorce him.

Heather is the worst. Who the hell has multiple house warnings before the house is even done? Such a pompous troll. She is building a hotel. So unnecessary.

I'm younger than Meghan. Please shut up, Meghan. Heather Locklear was well known in the 90s.

  19. What the hell??? I thought Shannon was being a great friend to Vicki - I didn't get Vicki's reaction at all!

Oh wow, what a great psychic - he knows what anyone watching the show would know. Clearly Tamra told him what to say.

Tamra takes offense to Shannon saying she is a shitstirrer?? LOL she tells Andy she is all the time! She brags about it! What is the problem?

Shut up, Meghan. No one is jealous of your ass.

Also, since when does what Scott did fall into the description of what a supposed psychic does? He never even saw Brooks and wasn't commenting on the future.
