  1. Raquel is such an airhead.

Kristen and Ariana's friendship - good for them.  I could never do it, but I guess if you're going to be in this group, you have to be okay with being around your ex and their gf/bf all the time.

So, I think Beau is a more outspoken Tom Schwartz and more manipulative.  Schwartz made mistakes re cheating so no one held him up as being perfect and some of the cast thought Katie was justified in her anger.  But yet he was always the victim.  It seems like the dynamic between Stassi and Beau is similar, but way more disparate because everyone basically thinks Beau is perfect and that Stassi should do everything in her power to not mess it up.  That is a lot of pressure on Stassi.   It also would encourage Beau to feel entitled like "Yeah, everyone seems to agree I'm the best thing that ever happened to Stassi and perfection.  Any disagreement we have, I can make it Stassi's fault."  It works for now, but I think if their relationship continues down this road, it would be exhausting to be Stassi.

Of course Katie does not want to continue GNI.  She is lazy and lacks drive/work ethic.  She wanted to do GNI originally, not because she had any desire to do so, but to rub it in James' face.

Beau's performance where he plays Stassi's victim as well as her hero was pretty awful.  She's going to be afraid to ever be upset about ANYTHING if it always ends in him crying and showing her his STRESS INDUCED HIVES and saying how lucky she is to have him.  In that regard, he's almost worse than her other boyfriends.  They controlled her by just being alpha jerks, this guy is just making her feel guilty for having opinions.

He posted an insta-story yesterday--they were having a similar debate on The View, and Whoopie sided with Beau (just let him go out and party) and he was making insta stories to rub it in about how WRONG she was, as she sat quietly on the couch.

I don't know--I mean... the real "solution" to that whole argument was for Stassi to go to bed alone and let Beau do whatever he wanted.  But the argument couldn't even reach that point, because Beau went into full guilt-trip mode to make her feel bad and back down.

Yes.  I dated someone before who every time I brought up a concern or issue that I had in the relationship, any doubts, would freak out.  They'd tell me how they're broken or they couldn't sleep because what I said or how they now doubt everything about themselves or how they doubt us.  It was all out of manipulation because it made me keep my mouth shut because I didn't want to deal with the fallout.  Now, I think Beau is a billion times better than my ex, but based on my own experience, if you are in love with someone and they react to any type of critical opinion or disagreement by putting the relationship as a whole into question or talking about how they couldn't sleep, etc., then it can have the effect of making the other person, if they are desperate enough to keep the relationship, shut up and take it because they don't want to upset the person.

Because he’s a middle-aged man, he’s not allowed to feel emotions and he’s expected to sit there and allow Stassi to scream at him? They’re both “old enough” to learn how to have productive communication skills. Stassi isn’t 22 anymore, herself.

I didn't think she was yelling, but maybe I'm not remembering right.  He can feel however he wants but if he honestly feels battered, he is messed up and/or has a screwy perception of the world.  That word has implications in that it is saying the other person is being abusive and I don't think that should be thrown around.

  4. I didn't think Stassi was being a crazy psycho last week.  Why was she apologetic for it and making Beau apparently sob the whole night?  I mean, why was he sobbing to begin with?  It seemed manipulative and a way to make her feel bad.  She wanted to go to bed at 3 am....so?  Go to bed Beau.  Or break up and stay out forever.  Idk, I'm a little bit in a bad mood, but I was annoyed because to me it didn't really seem like they were fighting about anything, but it seemed like they were acting like they were having a very special moment on Beverly Hills 90210.  Forgive my reference, I'm old and I don't know what the kids watch these days.

Also, I've always felt like Tom is much more into Ariana than she is into him, but this season, I feel like Ariana might be more into the entire female cast than she is into Tom. I know couples have their own rules, but Tom is nice to be okay with her making out with other women. I know if my bf wanted to make out with all his male friends, I would not be laughing about it.

As the saying goes, "You're damned if you do, and damned if you don't." Beau was refreshing to the viewers in the beginning because he didn't come with drama, baggage, etc.  He 'gets' Stassi and accepts her, warts and all. As with the majority of viewers, once we get used to someone, we look for flaws and faults. Now Beau is questionable because he's near Jax's age and he doesn't disclose his past relationships. So what we loved about him is now not so cool. So far, no women (or men) have come out of the woodwork to claim Beau abusing or using them. Bottom line, I prefer him and Sandoval of all the guys, and he'd have to be proven to be a serial killer for me to immediately place him at the bottom of any list.

Oh yeah for sure.  Me side-eyeing Beau doesn't mean I think Jax or Tom or any of the guys are better.  I think that Beau would be at the top of my list.  But just because I think he's better than the other guys on the show doesn't mean I think he's great overall.

  6. I tend to side more with Stassi.  She shouldn't have to do things she doesn't want to do like go dance up on stage.  That's not a compromise issue.  A compromise issue would be going out at all versus staying in.  Beau shouldn't care whether Stassi gets up on a stage to dance in front of people.  Regardless, the staying out thing I think is valid and a huge compatibility issue.  I would be fundamentally incompatible with someone who wants to party until 3 am every night, let alone 5 am.  That said, Stassi does seem to party a lot so I think she and Beau can work this out.  3 am v. 5 am isn't a huge deal I think.  Of course if they were to have kids and Beau wants to continue that lifestyle, then it is a problem.

Oh and wtf, Beau gets teary-eyed and says he is battered?!?!  I sense he is sort of like Tom Schwartz in that he plays the perpetual victim role and everyone is like "aw how can you be mean to poor Beau?!"

How do these people have the energy to do this kind of partying?! I'm their age and just watching them makes me want to take a nap and stay hydrated.

This post makes me so happy.  It says everything I have been thinking about Beau since he appeared on the scene.  I looked up "twee" on Urban Dictionary, and it fits Beau to a T (a twee?)  It says "affectedly dainty...or way too sentimental."  If there is a better way to describe Beau's reaction in his TH when he "listened" the conversation he recorded between Stassi and his mom, I haven't seen it in writing.

I also think age is a factor here.  I am persuaded by the argument that James used Kristen to get on the show, and it was disgusting, (who spits on a door?? Ugh!).  But James was, what, 23, when he clawed himself onto this show?  And Beau was 38 when he put on this display, aka, old enough to be James's father?  That ups the hesitation I get about Beau a lot. If he was exhibiting the same exact shtick that he exhibits now, but he was 23, 24 or 25, I'd just shrug and be like, "oh, Stassi's dating a child.  If she likes it, great."

I also have heightened suspicion about Beau with regard to the type of show he's trying to get on. VPR isn't the culinary equivalent of Million Dollar Listing.  It's a show about low-lifes, whose median age is about a decade younger than him. If he has a successful career in commercial casting, why would he even want to be associated with a show that was picked up because of the outrageous levels of fucking and fighting that were going on Amongst its cast?  Even if Beau plans to continue to play this "good guy," it's still like being the one-eyed man in the world of the blind, to borrow from the expression.

The only unequivocally good thing that I can say about Beau is that he's not Patrick, and I think that's a reason Beau has skated by nearly unscathed so far:  the fans are relieved.  But 50% of the inmates in federal prison are probably better than Patrick, so I'm not using that as my yardstick.

People say that Brittney is no wide-eyed innocent, and I see both sides of that argument.  As far as Beau goes, though, I don't think he'd be fucking with Stassi if she wasn't famous or fame-adjacent.  I am also really turned off by the narrative that everyone, including Stassi and her mom, seem to buy into, that Beau is better than Stassi.  Relationships should have more of a power balance IMO.  It's not necessarily Beau's fault that he is held in such high esteem, but let's just say I don't think he minds the savior complex that is being applied to him.

I have posted before that I don't like Beau's facial hair, and I realized that it's not that I hate a beard or a perpetual 5 o'clock shadow in the abstract; it's that I get the impression that he is wearing the facial hair as a statement that says, "hey, look over here.  I'm quirky and I wear a beard," that makes me go, "yo, shave."  And that is a metaphor about everything else about him.  What a contrived dude.

WOAH!!!!!! BEAU IS 38?!?!  For some reason, I was just operating under the assumption that he was 30.  I mean it's not that I think he's behaving badly, but I just figured because of his lifestyle that he was in his late 20s or early 30s.  I guess I shouldn't be surprised.  I live in LA and some people always live like they're 23 no matter how old they are.

I have mixed feelings about Beau.  On the one hand, I think "Stassi is so lucky she found this great and nice guy who adores her."  On the other hand, it feels slightly off to me and I have trouble putting my finger on it.  It seems like he was totally absorbed into her life and now all her friends are his friends.  And he's a 38 year old man so what was he doing until now?  And some of the innocence/lovey dovey stuff about their relationship also made me assume he was younger.  Knowing that he is almost 40, I'm kind of side eyeing it.  Not saying it can't be genuine and it probably is, but there may be some other motives going on too.

I love this show but I feel like it may have run its course.  They need a Vanderpump Rules, the New Class.  These people have too much money to pull off the idea that they are waiters at SUR and don't have enough money to become a Housewives franchise.

  8. How can Lydia face these people?  She couldn't have just wandered off on her own and found some random community far away to live in where Alpha wouldn't know who to blame?  She had to endanger all of these lives to make kissy face with Henry?

That said, I'm glad Henry and Tara are gone.  I just was hoping that Alpha was going to take Lydia out too.

I still am having trouble understanding the appeal of the Whisperer lifestyle.  It'd be one thing if there were zero options left.  But even after they see relatively normal communities, they're like "nope, still want to wear a dead face all the time and walk around with the dead, all the while hoping my leader doesn't chop my head off if she's in a bad mood."  Don't get me wrong, Negan was super annoying and terrible to his people, but at least I understand what the appeal was for him and his commanders.  Are we just to assume that all of the Alpha followers are completely insane?

  9. Do you guys think Lala is at all protected by Lisa because of her relationship with Randall or do you think Lisa doesn't care?

I'm rooting for James.  I find him to be an entertaining character for a reality tv show.

Was Kristen actually being serious that Lisa likes her a little?  How could she not see Lisa's visible discomfort?  She should have come away from that with the opposite impression.  Also, Lisa would probably warm up to her much more if instead of the fake kissy kissy, Kristen just apologized for her past behavior.

  10. This episode could easily have also functioned as an episode of hoarders.  Minus the part where they do anything to fix it.  Actually, it kind of fits with the theme since she didn't do anything to lose weight either.

No, LVP very clearly said that John Sessa did not know Blizzard was talking to Teddi. Which makes Kyle's point very valid: if John Sessa didn't know Blizzard was talking to Teddi, and if LVP never spoke to Blizzard, how exactly did LVP know to warn Dorit that Teddi knew? It doesn't add up, and LVP was caught in a lie.

On a side note, I've been to Vanderpump Dogs somewhat recently and Blizzard was right in front working the main floor. This idea that LVP never spoke to him before all this went down is absurd.

I don't think she meant she never spoke to him.  Two seconds later she also said she never spoke to Teddi, which is obviously not true.  Teddi and Lisa have spoken to one another before.  I think when she was saying those things she meant she has never spoken to so and so...about the dog.

  12. Wait so, did I understand that right? Regular people are sewing dead faces on and pretending to be walkers? I don’t get it. What is the point of doing that?  Not to mention disgusting. Why don’t they just try being human murderers? What am I missing? Or are they walkers with two faces? That doesn’t make sense either. I’m confused!

To be fair, I couldn’t make out what Daryl said at the end. Maybe he explained it.

  13. Tamra made a couple of comments this year about how Shannon loves sex. I wouldn’t be surprised if David was the one turning her down, even before she gained weight. It would be in line with his manipulative personality as well. In terms of her getting drunk to have sex with him, I thought that was more of a camera issue—that she felt self conscious (and it was her first season) because cameras were taping the getaway.

  14. The shampoo thing seemed really shady. But Reza had to have a done a lot of research right? You just don’t give 500k without a lot of thought, research, and consideration? And I hope he made up the park story because he thinks it sounded cute, because otherwise it sounds like a con artist couple looking for their next scam. And there have to be lawyers and contracts involved, right, and they just did the check scene for the show?

How could Reza not tell Adam that he made such a huge investment? Honestly, to me that would be grounds for divorce!

  15. Jax being all "Nobody has asked me how I feel :**(" . Oh, I'm sorry, Jax!  How does it feel to have cheated on your girlfriend with an elderly woman on the couch next to you?  How does it feel to have humiliated your girlfriend?  Please, do share your feelings on how you shit on people in your life. And then the second that Kelsey asks him how he's feeling, instead of just saying it and keeping it at that, he brings it back to wanting to sleep with Kelsey. So predictable. Seriously, how does Brittany watch this shit and stay with him? I hope they're a fake couple or she's also cheating on him while she just stays with him for the show/fame because if she just takes this shit because she "loves him so much," that is really pathetic.

Woah, James definitely has something going on with that guy. That was alarming. They were close to making out at one point and that was in front of James' girlfriend and on camera. WTF are they doing when there aren't cameras or Raquel around? Pretty sure they're doing it.

Idk, I watched Jax and Brittany Go to Kentucky (or whatever it was called), and I don't think Kristen's strategy of bringing Brittany's mom will get her to break up with Jax. Brittany's mom seemed enamored with Jax on that show and whenever he treated her poorly, she said something to the effect of "Brittany, you need to be nicer to Jax and show patience."  I don't think she is going to be gunning for a breakup.

What has Schaena done to her face? She's a pretty woman, but she has this frozen plastic look to her. She is super stage 5 clinger. And I'm already bored with the Rob thing. I wish they had footage of him making out with someone else. That would make things slightly more entertaining.

  16. I thought Jax looked really disappointed when Britney told him she was giving him another chance. Like there could be a thought bubble over his head: “just what do I need to do to this girl to get her to leave??!”

Love James and Lala this season, especially James. He cracked me up when he summarized the Brittany/Jax fight. And Lala just seems to be nice and she has good one liners.

Schaena is terrible. So self involved. And it’s a shame what she’s done to her face.

I feel bad for Stassi. She is so insecure when it comes to Patrick. And he is so douchey.

Kristen is basically being phased out. It makes me sad. I miss crazy Kristen, although I guess she’s in a much healthier, non entertaining place now.

  17. I love FH, but I find the supporting cast to be sort of meh.

For the medical professionals on the board, if you had to compare the accuracy of this show to Grey's Anatomy, which would be more on point?  Or are they about the same?

The thing that they did in terms of flashing medical terms/diagrams whenever Sean thinks of something was cool at first, but I'm already over it.

I really wish they hadn't killed off his brother.  I was way more intrigued by what his brother would be like as an adult than I am with the other doctors on the show.
