I don't have children, but how in the hell can a two year old be manipulative?  How dare Israel tell his "Papi" he loves him (even if he is wanting something). I guess human nature, in Derick's eyes is another sin???   My dog can look at me with those "puppy dog eyes" and make me melt and depending on what I'm eating, she might get a bite.  Does that make her manipulative as well?

Obviously you have failed in your blanket training of your dog. Nike!

Seriously though, you apparently treat your animal with more love and compassion than poor Izzy seems to get.

  2. Carol/Cheryl/Charlotte seems to have become more unhinged and is now excited by emotional/physical violence when she was not in the previous episode but I guess years in prison will do that to a gal.

I especially enjoyed Wyatt Cenac. His show People of Earth is my favorite new show by far.

I hope some of the real world starts seeping into the coma world. I want to see Len Trexler with a rabbit.

I am really enjoying this season but 8 episodes is far too short.

  3. I so hope we see a Vandertunt Castle at some point, that we get to see Cecil and Tiffy again, and that Chris and Lydia Hardwick appear as Charlotte and Cecil's parents.

I thought it was interesting that Charlotte, while still crazy like Cheryl, doesn't seem to get off on emotional or physical violence which was something Archer was disturbed by in the non-coma world.

  4. I saw the very end of this where Amber was making the comment about how the 2 children that Matt "raised" turned out to be great people while the ones he did not are not good people and that should say something about Matt (ummm...that he's scumball?).

My questions: How long was he with the mother of the 2 children shown. How many verified children does Matt have?

Also, Amber deserves everything she is going to get from Matt. Everything.

  5. I fell asleep before the 1st airing and woke up in time to see the 1;33 a.m. repeat. I wanted to watch it again before commenting but stupid Comcast, or maybe stupid FXX, or both, doesn't have it on demand yet.

I was most intrigued with the Archer/Pam pairing in this episode. It was like the concept of Dostoyevsky's  novel "the Double" or that she's his spirit animal instead of an ocelot. I would like to re-watch the dynamic, but, like I said, stupid Comcast/FXX.

Hey! They added a dog! (Sorry. I read a recent article where H. Jon Benjamin suggested Archer add a dog next season like his childhood favorite, Scooby Doo).

The last veteran of WWI was Florence Green, born February 19, 1901. She had served with the Women's Royal Air Force. She died February 4, 2012 at the fantastically old age of 110. RIP Woodhouse.

I too was bewildered of her choice to not have her children at the wedding, her reason was they wanted it to be about them.  How would having her kids there keep the focus off them?  Must suck knowing your mother didn't invite you to her wedding.

My parents divorced when I was eight. They each got remarried without telling me or my brother in advance. My mother did this 3 times. She also didn't attend my wedding but did pay for my dress which was under $50.00 and my Dad was one of the 5 guest in attendance, including our witnesses.

I thought it was telling that the mom talked about how her 1st wedding was such a "production" and haw she said "family" with what seemed to be a sneer in her voice.

  7. What I took away from Jilly Muffin's most recent post is the young girl who died of a head injury said the girl had been coming to "skills training" for weeks but then she turns around and said the girl had been dead for weeks before Jilly learned about it.

  8. I cannot believe that, after 7 years, Jenelle's parental rights have not been terminated. After 7 years Jace deserves stability and certainty and poor, poor, Kaiser who has no Barn, only Nathan who is a weak reed indeed.

  9. Another instance where I pinged on "Is this really real?" was the case where the one Eastern European lady basically stole a $1,500 from another Eastern European cat breeder lady, I think the kitten was a beautiful blue British shorthair. In any case, at the beginning of the case, one of the Judges asked where they two first connected and the Plaintiff said "eBay' and the Judge seemed to look at the papers and confirmed it was eBay but I don't think eBay allows people to sell live animals through their site. I thought that was really weird at the time.

Today's case was the first one that made me wonder if this show was going the route of being a scripted production.  The flower crown on the plaintiff was my first indication, then all of her new-age drivel was next.  It was so outlandish it made me suspicious.  The defendant was so normal though - the two of them were a strange combo.

The flower crown lady did come off as totally fake but the defendant seemed sincere. I wish scripted court shows would have to state that they're scripted even if the cases are "based" on real cases. I hate "Judge" Ross and sometimes I suspect Judge Faith. She seems sincere but the halterviews always seem scripted and her plaintiffs/defendants seem just a little too well put together. A poster on another forum stated that you can tell the scripted shows by the lack of titty tats on the plaintiffs/defendants. If I knew Hot bench was a scripted court show I would be more inclined to watch Judge Mathis during my lunch hour. I know a lot of people can't stand him but he, and the people appearing before him in the courtroom, are really real.

Ok, this pit bull puppy case drove me crazy. Isn't the typical arrangement a stud fee or pick of the litter? Not half the litter?

the male doesn't do 50% of the work!

That's exactly what I Thought and would have really liked to have asked the plaintiff's pregnant witness what she thought about that! It bugged me how the judges went on and on about how well planned out this breeding was, more so than a lot of people they see, one said, but apparently not so well thought out that anyone thought to put anything in writing! I really wish the Defendant had countersued for half of any vet bills related to maternity care, and any vet bills for the puppies, and half the cost of any food for the puppies and increased food for the mother while she was nursing even though she shouldn't have been breeding the poor thing in the first place imo.

Did they figure out from Facebook where she had last worked?

A news story said through computer records and that her cell phone pinged to the property for 2 days until it went dead. Why it took 2 weeks to secure a search warrant is a question I'd like answered, especially as Todd Kohlhepp had already served a prison sentence for a conviction for kidnapping and raping a 14 year old and was a registered sex offender because of that.

Sure can be depending on where in Indiana they lived. It's one of those skinny, long states and if you live in southern Indiana, you're right next to Kentucky. Louisville, KY is right on the Indiana/Kentucky border.

Owensboro in Western Kentucky is also right across the Indiana border but is about a 2.5 hour drive away from Louisville.

  14. I wanted to throw something at the tv too during this episode! Only it was after Dr. Phil accused the woman of "provoking" Josh after he was recorded slapping her in front of her daughter and then the "Did you kick me?" which sounded like he was trying to set up a mutual combat situation in case the police were called. This came right after Josh accused his fiancée of "making" him lose control of himself, something that Dr. Phil did not challenge and even seemed to support. Then the woman herself (don't remember her name). She is passively abusing her son by allowing Josh to treat him the way Josh treats him. Then to get pregnant again is so irresponsible. Seriously. The two of them deserve each other but the sad thing is the children deserve none of it!

  15. I had a genetics class in college that was taught y an elderly professor. He told a story about how when his 1st wife was dying of cancer he took her for a swim in their backyard pool. She asked him if she were to have a seizure would he save her from drowning and he said no, what if she pulled him under and who would take care of the children then? At the time I thought, "What a jerk," and if it had been my spouse I would have been, "Of course I would save you," even if I were planning on holding her head under the water and I thought how sad for the lady to know in her dying days what an absolute jerk she had wasted her life on and Kody's response to the burning bridge reminds me of that.

  16. I read a lot of Archie comics in the '60s and '70s and, I have to say, I enjoyed this mainly because of Archie's Dad Had a Beard? Archie's Dad is Greg Brady? No, wait, Archie's Dad is Luke Perry! Betty is on Adderall? Ms. Grundy is molesting Archie and manipulating his mind!!!????!!!! All of that I enjoyed and I also enjoyed Josie and the Pussycats. I didn't enjoy the kiss between Betty and Veronica. It make Veronica look stupid and profoundly uncool, especially when Cheryl called her out on it which made it even more unbelievable that Veronica could just high hat her way past Cheryl so both she and Betty made the cheerleading squad. I also didn't like Moose. Not only wasn't he blond and big enough, his closeted meathead character reminded me a lot of the closeted meathead character that was on Glee. Also, whenever Archie started to sing I couldn't help but burst out with Sugar...ah, honey, Honey. My family did not have a lot of music around while I was growing up but I did have a copy of The Archie's Sugar Sugar cut from the back of a box of Super Sugar Crisp. That and The Sonny Side of Cher. I'll give it another chance next week even though my spouse said it's too 90201-ish for his taste.

I sure hope little Endtable doesn't have her father's giant jawline. Poor thing will have enough trouble in her life with those two pieces of crap for parents.

Some people, like Sister Wives' Kody Brown, seem to really appreciate an aggressive jaw on a woman.

Hmm, is it me or does that blog post sound like the ramblings of a young man who's not too satisfied in life? Whenever he talks about not envying others and being happy because you have Jebus, it sounds like he's really trying to convince himself, not us.

In many ways Bin is like this hapless, eager puppy who's slowly having the life squeezed out of him. I can see him ten years from now, bitter and jaded with a secret drinking habit, surrounded by crying babies as Jessa shrieks at him to take out the trash.

It reads to me like he is justifying not having a job.
