Kass has described her as self-righteous and I definitely see that. I liked how in one of the confessionals she said "last time I was nice Tasha" and they showed a clip of her berating her tribe. Well played, editors. Well played.
Hmm. . . . Nope. Never saw the self-righteous in Tasha. No way, no how.
And she was nice in Cagayan. The only one with whom she'd ever lost any patience was Garrett, and she was really shown berating him in that clip, not the whole tribe. Back then, Garrett was trying to hold "open forums" to discuss whom to vote out just so he could block people from having actual strategy talks. It was all part of his method of trying to control the tribe, and Tasha knew it.
But other than that, she was very nice and not at all offensive.

This is the first I've heard of Kelley being voted out because she was targeting Jon. Did she really ever tell Missy that? Because from what I saw in San Juan del Sur, she wanted to align with him, not vote him out.

Woo hasn't learned a damn thing. Ugh.
Don't know why he's so popular. He's just a total dummy, and not a fun, interesting, or likable one.
And I usually root for the Asian players.

I never watched Australian Outback. But from what I've seen from Jeff so far, I think he's definitely showing that he's adjusting fairly well to the new-school style of gameplay.
I just hope he doesn't play too hard, too quickly, or he might be out of here sooner than he probably expects.

I liked Terry well enough in the early goings of Exile Island. But as his immunity wins started going to his head and he started showing what a bad player he truly was, the hate started coming in very quickly.
his being happy to see his tribemates sacrificed one after the other without even trying to use the idol to actually change the dynamics (use as in play at tribal rather than dangle in front on anyone the threat of using it)
And what's sad about that whole thing (well . . . for Terry, anyway) is that he could've won the game had he used it right. The perfect time to use it was to bounce Aras at the Tribal Council that claimed Nick. All he had to do was play it on him after the votes were read (since this was when the idols could be played after the vote rather than before), Nick would've been safe, and Aras would've been gone. After that, at F9, he could've swung Bruce or possibly even Cirie to his side, and he has the numbers for the rest of the game, all the way to the win.
I still can't for the life of me see why he didn't play it when he could've. Exile Island might've turned out so much differently if he had.

The other part is just her being paranoid out there not knowing if there's a set-up or what.
The paranoia is what got me disliking her so much in Philippines. Hell, she went off on R.C. just because she showed some genuine concern to Skupin when he injured his hands opening a coconut. She thought they were plotting something else behind her back. I just . . . I couldn't believe that scene. Paranoia had already hit her, and it was only week two!

I certainly didn't peg them as the Boston team from first, then again they did expose a harsh reality check about Boston - I really want to root for them since I am also a Bostonian, but I just can't see them get past about the midway point due to that poor first leg, but hopefully for them, it's just a blip.
The first leg's performance isn't always a sign of future success or failure. Some teams have run fairly to extremely poor first legs, but ultimately risen up as one of their season's strongest teams and ended up winning the whole thing. Such examples include TAR4's Reichen & Chip (who finished ninth out of twelve teams on leg one), TAR5's Chip & Kim (who finished eighth out of eleven teams on leg one), TAR7's Uchenna & Joyce (who also finshed eighth out of eleven teams on leg one), TAR8's Linz Family (who finished ninth out of ten teams on leg one), TAR16's Dan & Jordan (who finished eighth out of eleven teams on leg one), TAR21's Josh & Brent (who finished seventh out of eleven teams on leg one), and TAR23's Jason & Amy (who finished eighth out of eleven teams on leg one). All finished low on the first leg, but learned from their early mistakes and ended up winning.
Ernest & Jin could do the same thing, or they'll struggle. It's gonna depend on the tasks.

When they were talking smack about some of the other teams, I felt that karma was going to strike back at them full force and it did at the Detour, to the point of a Field Philimination - one of the worst possible Philiminations, making it more amplified since it was on the first leg.
While there have been many field eliminations, it's only happened twice on the first leg. As of now, TAR16's Dana & Adrian are now in good company and don't have to be the sole team to get that terrible distinction now that Kelly & Shevonne have had a similar fate.

I rewound and paused the footage from the starting line multiple times, and that really looked like Kim standing right next to Rob and Brennan. And I suppose the woman in the sunglasses jumping up and down next to her was Alli, though she wasn't as recognizable in the sunglasses.
That was indeed Kym & Alli in attendance. I recognized them both instantly.

Even if Robert wasn't completely honest in the SOD interview about everything Ben has indeed killed..they're going to show Serena actually being murdered next week per an interview Melissa Archer gave.
And I'll bet True has probably taped Paige's murder scene, as well, and will confirm it to us sometime later.

On a level, I actually don't mind Sabrina and Michael. In real life, they would make the more believable couple. I wish that the mousy Sabrina we first got was paired with Michael rather than Starr. It would make a better Cinderella story that Sabrina/Patrick, because Michael is so damn awkward himself. I think a triangle between her, Carlos and Michael would work better, especially if Sabrina made the healthier choice and picked Michael.
Actually, I recall reading somewhere back in 2012, when Sabrina first appeared, that she was originally supposed to have just a crush on Patrick, but have nothing come of it. Then, they were going to move her on to another more long-term option. They'd been toying with the idea of either Michael or Spinelli (who was still on the canvas at the time) for her. But Michael's pairing with Starr took off with the mainstream public, as did Spinelli's with Ellie, so Sabrina was only left with Patrick.

I thought it would have been a twist that the baby was Richard's and the Queen had killed her own grandchild, but instead, Crown Prince sacrifices his dignity for his bride and banishes his mother for a woman who clearly didn't even treat him right.
I actually thought about that twist happening and was a bit disappointed when it didn't materialize. But as for Richard's actions, they were his to make, and it was his decision. Even if he found out he was cheated on, sometimes you can't just give up loving someone. So I don't mind what he did there.

I'm beyond pissed that even after all of Brody's epic fails at the Random Botch, he and Geoff still took an essentially unearned win. Ennui & Crimson dominated that challenge and should've won that leg.
So Devin's moved into the desperation stage, huh? I thought fear was stage three, not desperation. Carrie at least doesn't have to deal with him crying anymore.
So Noah & Owen are back on their game now that Emma's admitted that she wants to try things with Noah after the race, since their minds really should be on trying to win while they're still in it.
Emma & Kitty did fabulously well, which surprised me. I thought Kitty would biff that bull-riding task.
Ryan knows Stephanie's main motivator now and is driving her along perfectly.
I like Sanders & MacArthur, but MacArthur's starting to wear on my nerves a bit. She almost get them penalized at the pork-and-bean-eating task because she wouldn't let Sanders eat any. I get liking that a lot, but with the teams dwindling down, do you really want to risk giving your team a penalty that really could take you out of the game?
Jacques & Josee dropped dramatically, and neither one liked it one bit. Oh, and their evil smiles in Sanders & MacArthur's back window were fucking scary!

Really? I thought they were more likable than at least Ryan & Stephanie and Jacques & Josee. I was sad to see them go, though at the same time, not surprised. I think, of the F9, they were probably the weakest, largely because of Dwayne. I'm quite surprised that, after just complaining about the survival of so many men's teams, a whopping four of them have fallen in a row -- Jay & Mickey, Lorenzo & Chet, Rock & Spud, and now Dwayne & Junior. Only Geoff & Brody and Noah & Owen are left.
Ryan & Stephanie or Ennui & Crimson will probably be tossed next. Ryan & Stephanie don't really have a storyline behind them "hating" each other (and obviously not really hating each other, as they still have their moments of adoration), and Ennui & Crimson have no story at all.
So the race has a good gender balance left -- two men's teams, two women's teams, and four coed teams for their F8. Eight men, eight women. Nice to see that things are more balanced again.

As a Jets fan I had to root for the cheerleaders. I found them a bit annoying but I don't think they seemed stupid as some say. They caught bad breaks with the cabs, couldn't do the volleyball and struggled with the slide puzzle like everyone else. (I love puzzles, but slide puzzles are the DEVIL!)
Seriously! Why is everyone so down on them so early? I'd be behaving just like they did if I'd had the cab luck they did!
3) Ernest and Jin-These guys seem really cool. It would be awesome if two black guys could win TAR. Their backstory about being homeless street performers is pretty cool too. It would be an unbelievably emotional journey if they could go from homeless to TAR winners, and I'm sure the producers will belabor that point throughout the season.
5) Jazmine and Danielle-it would be cool if a black-female team could take TAR and these athletes could definitely do it. If it comes down to a foot race at the end, they got it bagged. They seem cool enough so far.
8) Denise and James-As mentioned upthread, the mom-gay son tandem has been overdone on TAR
3. The highest a black men's team has finished has been second place. Flight Time & Big Easy, aka the Globetrotters, finished second in season eighteen after previously finishing fourth, just one elimination from the final leg, in season fifteen.
5. However, it sounds like you're relatively new to the show. A black women's team has won the race before -- two sisters named Kisha & Jen, also in season eighteen, after previously finishing fourth in season fourteen, also one elimination from the final leg. They were the second women's team to win, directly following the amazing Nat & Kat from season seventeen, and would be followed by the third women's team, Amy & Maya, in season twenty-five.
8. I'll take credit for saying that hook's been overdone.

It gave me a bad feeling when she said her motivation for going on the race with him was because she wanted to be his hero again.
That didn't bother me. As said in the episode thread, lots of children -- kids and adults -- want their parents to be their heroes and heroines. I don't see anything wrong with Denise wanting to be James Earl's again.

I've always agreed with her that Dale greatly held her back in San Juan del Sur. So far, she's proven that right, because she did indeed have a strong first episode. And I love that she, a woman, found the hidden Immunity Idol . After men have been the finders of those so often, it's a nice, refreshing change of pace.

Baskauskas: No clue. She did a good job of hiding it. She did tell a pretty good lie about why she had to wear her shorts to the challenge. Most of us were wearing our underwear. I thought it was a cool twist.

It sounds like Kelly told people that she had her period and needed to wear more then her bathing suit. Smart, smart play. Brilliant even. I so wish they showed that. I know why they didn't, god forbid someone use the word period or menstration on tv, but that shows how smart she is playing. She found the clue, knew it would be a water challenge and that everyone would be in bathing suits and came up with a plausible reason for wearing her shorts.
No quicker way to get men to want to change the subject than to say it's your period. Reminds me of that great moment in the movie Volver where Penelope Cruz's daughter have just knifed her husband to death and Cruz goes to answer the door. It's the guy next door. He sees blood all over her and says, "Is anything wrong?!" and she says, "Oh, you know, women's stuff." :)
Whoa, really?! Wow! That was smart of her! Girl's got game! I cannot believe she pulled that off so well! I just hope nothing happened when it actually came, and that no one was tipped off when it did.

Love her so much. Glad she's back. I hope she does well at this game, though I'm disturbed by her admission post-show that she only wants to work with men, not other women. I hope she's not turning into one of those jealous-of-other-women types.

Maybe they'll chemistry test her with Marcus from last season.
Or maybe Cornelius Smith, Jr.'s character. He was added to the main character roster. I saw his name under the "starring" actors' list.
Sally may have her fair share of sins including murder, but at the show isn't trying to sell her as a tragic hero, ala Fitz, who's done just as bad and/or worse than Sally.
What?! Sally's killed, too?! When?! Whom?!

YMMV, but I think on Adam's team Emily could've at least matched Deanna Johnson's performance.
I think even that's questionable, since even Deanna shouldn't have gotten as far as she did.
