It doesn't seem like Sloan really actually wants a child.  It's just another woman doing whatever to "keep" a man.  To me, this is just step two to the ruination of a previously independent, confident character.  The first was when she messed with the DNA test.  Eventually she will end up another doormat for "good guy" Eric - and will, of course, never be good enough for him.

I see it more as her feeling guilty for tampering with the paternity test; so she’s giving him a child to make up for the one that he might be missing out on due to her tampering.

I was disappointed that Natalie and Jared had no role in getting BE back for the Buchanans*, given that it was Jared's scam that gave Dorian her "in" to take it. I can see Natalie agreeing to work for Dorian in hopes of stealing the company back and that just infuriating the Bukes (well, Clint) further. I also wanted Blair and Natalie to become genuine friends and throwing them together at BE/CE could have been a way to do it.

*Instead it was Nora, Ms. Morally Righteous DA, who got it back by blackmailing Dorian for...something. Something to do with Ray, I imagine. Hiring the hitman to kill him? Which reminds me that Nora, Ms. Morally Righteous DA, knew that her boyfriend Clint had been in cahoots with Ray the convicted felon to mess with Langston's custody and did NOTHING except half-heartedly scold him. I love Nora but that was not a good look.

Jared was involved in the plot to get BE back.  Clint sent Jared to Colombia to bring Langston's uncle Ray Montez back and have him sue for custody of Langston with the expectation that Dorian would give back BE in exchange for keeping Langston.  Tess locked Natalie in the secret room while Jared was in Colombia.

right? like Okay I can sort of get Portia. Spencer's action hurt Trina and she's being mama bear over it. i get that. the hell though are you all treating Nik like crap?

Nikolas did put on that Dollar Store Scream mask on and terrorize the kids at the party.  And a lot of Spencer's acting out was in response to Nikolas' actions.

So Esme's new play is to make Cam/Trina look like a thing.. to do what? Make Spencer jealous? pls pick a lane w/Esme. show

I think that Esme believes that if she convinces Spencer that Trina's interested in Cam, he'll lose interest in her; but I'm guessing that it'll have the opposite effect.

I know I’m in the (extreme) minority, but I really like the vibe between Nina and Sonny. Not gonna lie, it surprises me, but there it is.

I think that Nina and Sonny have nice chemistry; but I can't enjoy them because the  story makes no sense.

I enjoyed the Cam and Joss scenes much more than I'd expected to.  Joss was strangely self-aware, admitting that it was her competitiveness with Esme that was causing her to push for them to have sex; and I really appreciated how patient and supportive Cam was.  I do think that so much conversation about Esme in the midst of their attempt to have sex is indicative of things to come...

Also, I was pleasantly surprised that Scott played drunk to get info out of Ava.  I'm curious about what he'll do next.

And I'm actually starting to enjoy the Austin character/RoHo 4.0 (Todd, Franco, FrankenDrew, Austin).

This.  Why waste the money on residence if you don't have to.

Trina and Joss both seem to come from, money.  Plus, I'd probably venture to guess that Joss has a scholarship for volleyball.  They've been contradictory with Cam.  On Monday, he said that he and Joss moved into their dorms; but today he said that he was still living at home.

  7. I'm fine with Alexis and Sam giving Nikolas attitude.  He did threaten to keep Alexis in jail to cover his tracks for a crime that he committed (even though I'm pretty sure that they both knew about his crime prior to the retcon).

I was pretty sure that Brad was related to Ms. Wu, but I'm glad that it's become canon on the show

Also, I have been waiting for Spencer to find out about Cam and Trina's flirtation, and I derived a great deal of pleasure from seeing how jealous he was.  I'm wondering if he'll bring it up with Trina (because he seemed to want to ask Cam more questions), and if he'll learn about them kissing.

I don’t know why it matters that Trina was raised without financial difficulty. She’s not someone who looks down on working and if she had to work - if something happened to her parents and she has no other means to get by - she would do it without complaint. Moreover, she was telling Spencer what to do in order to make up for his past transgressions. He specifically asked her to tell him, so why are people taking issue with that? She was harsh, yes, but Spencer had also just complained about not having money for him and Esme to have their own place together so I think some of her tone was about that.

I agree with the last part.  What really set Trina off was Spencer complaining about needing money to get a place for him and Esme to have alone time and be able to go out to eat.  That was really tone deaf of him considering that she basically admitted to having feelings for him earlier in the week.  She was of course upset about what she perceived as him lying, both about tring to make a way for himself and trying to deceive Ava into believing that he'd accepted her for access to his money.  I thought that SM and NC did a fantastic job in all of their scenes this week, especially on Friday.  All of this angst and intensity between two "friends" is really great to watch.

That scene was weird and disjointed.  This is all the same day, as evidenced by Spencer's clothes.  So he went to the gallery to talk to Trina about his issues and she opened a can of whoop ass on him.  He went back to Kelly's to get his job back.  Went to visit Alexis, who told him to go to the hospital to get his hand checked out.  He runs into Trina at the hospital and she talks to him in a nice and friendly manner as though she didn't just see him two hours ago and tore a strip off of him.   I think those two scenes must have been shot days apart and the actors didn't realize they would air in back to back episodes.

Are we sure that it's the same day?  Trina is wearing different clothes.  She had on pants and a sweater on Tuesday, and today she was wearing a dress.  Plus it looked like the gallery was closed and Trina was staying after-hours on Tuesday; but today it was still open with Ava and Ned there.  I'm getting a headache trying to find a way for it to make sense.

I heard that there had been lots of reshoots, so maybe the writers forgot what had actually happened in the previous episode.

I guess it could happen seeing as BL was sleeping on Chase's couch for a bit.

But watch out! The self-righteous duo will smell blood in the water. Willow will be all hurt because Chase slept with BLQ and Michael will get on his high horse about how Chase should be helping with the baby or some nonsense, because you know he'll have to stick his nose where it doesn't belong.

And I hope that Chase tells the Milquetoast Duo to go suck a lollipop! They were busy falling in love (Michael was using Wiley to entice Willow into a real relationship), so what if he fell into bed with BLQ a couple of times.

  12. I am very underwhelmed by this brewing mob story.  Joey Novack seems like such a little pissant that I take him even less seriously than the usual “big new threats.”  Maybe we’re supposed to be underestimating him, and the writers are faking us out?

Also, I noticed a sparkette of chemistry between Chase and Liz.  That would certainly be interesting given that she’s currently in a situationship with his brother.  Plus, he’s apparently spending all this time offscreen with BLQ and seems to be getting more embroiled in the BaileyLou story.  Maybe they’ll circle back to them at some point.

  13. Really glad to see Trina back after a long drought!  Her scenes with Spencer were really good.  We can see the conflict between her head and heart, so giving Spencer a chance to prove himself to even be considered a friend is great (although both of them obviously want more).

I had mixed feelings about the Joss-Esme scene.  Esme instigated that whole thing by being presumptuous and obnoxious; although Joss did overreact,as usual.  I like their rivalry and think that the actresses have good chemistry.

I also had mixed feelings about the Shawn-Nikolas scenes.  Shawn's righteous indignation seems a bit misplaced since he actually was attempting to murder someone; but Nikolas's smugness and hypocrisy is also difficult to swallow.  He deserved to be in prison right next to Shawn.  But IRL, (if I'm not mistaken) Attempted Murder is not a Class A-I felony in NY, so the statute of limitations has passed (because I believe that the attempted murder of Hayden happened in early 2016).

I was really hoping that Drew was faking being under Raspeter's control.  It is so frustrating how many people have had the chance to kill him, and yet he remains in the land of the living.

Putting here because I didn't click thru but I saw an entry in my rss reader saying Jordan has been recast with Karla Mosley. (Maya on B&B) She doesn't quite seem old enough but if true, at least she's competent.

I believe that she's older than Briana Henry, so I guess that's a step in the right direction.

  15. Even though the charges make no sense (#soultheft), I can appreciate seeing some of Michael's Quartermainesque qualities come out in having Nina arrested.

Now, I'm really curious about Nikolas's involvement in the goings on in Greece.  Has he been in cahoots with Victor?  Is Hayden the mystery captive?  And who will be the one to expose him?

I can't say I'm surprised that Gladys found out part of the BaileyLou secret.  But she only knows that Bailey isn't Valentin's.  I of course expect blackmail; but I wouldn't be surprised if she comes into contact with Austin and Austin puts all the pieces together.  Will BLQ attempt to convince Chase to claim paternity?

Willow fears Nina suing for visitation.  Does Harmony, as a step-grandmother, have any legal to see Wiley, if she chose to sue?  Or is it just a blood relative?

If she legally adopted Willow, who legally adopted Wiley, then she is legally the grandmother; and would be able to sue for visitation (I’m going to assume that in NY grandparents can sue for visitation rights).

I can see him using it on BLQ but that would hurt Maxie and I don't see him doing that.  He seems to really like Maxie and she went to bat for him during the ELQ stuff today

I could see him blackmailing BLQ and doing his best to keep that from Maxie.

    @perkie1968

Well, technically they're only second half cousins, since Austin and Ned are first half cousins.  So, you know.....

They’re technically half-first cousins once removed..

Okay, but have they actually explained that on the show?  And does she have to be a complete bitch about the whole thing?

I haven’t seen the show but if Austin actually smiled at the bitch and said, “This ain’t over”, I hope they actually do something about that.  But with these horrible ass writers and the producer favoring Brook Lynn over Austin, I’m not expecting anything.

I'm pretty sure that Austin has the BaileyLou switch in his back pocket.

Brook Lynn's hatred of Austin is irrational and OTT. I do not get it. What did this man do to her? She keeps saying Edward wanted Jimmy Lee out of his will. Okay. But what if Edward changed his mind? Would it be that bad if he did? I don't get her. I am happy Austin signed that paper and told her it wasn't over! She is beyond annoying!

She's going after Austin for a few reasons:

1.) She feels guilty for signing over her shares of ELQ to Valentin and is trying to make up for it by getting Ned back in control (and she fears that Austin will side with Valentin with his voting shares).

2.) She is worried that accepting him into the family and spending time with them could lead to the exposure of the baby switch.

But was Mikkos an heir to the fortune or did it originate with him?  If Mikkos/Victor's dad was the "owner" so to speak, of the Cassadine fortune, than yes, it would be divided between Mikkos and Victor and their subsequent heirs.  But if Mikkos made the fortune than Victor gets no piece of the pie and neither does Valentin.

I believe that the title of Cassadine Prince and control of the fortune goes is passed directly to the eldest son of the Prince.  So from Mikkos to Stavros to Nikolas (there was conflict over this between Stefan and Helena before Niklas became of age) and next to Spencer.
