  1. I understand that and I don’t think Gina should have any regard for the others given their sneering mocking tone and facial expressions w her. They do not appreciate the work she puts in, the answers she gives them. They do not treat her as part of the team. It may be a running joke but we are laughing at her. That is rude and unpleasant to watch. The party at Mike’s house they invited her to, Mike wasn’t there and they all made mocking faces behind her back. She’s different, she’s quirky, she’s smart and able. They use her for what she gives them and mick her personally. These are ugly people.

Why, yes, yes she did. And she served it with store bought marinara dipping sauce. She is veering into Aunt Sandy’s lane...

That’s exactly what I was thinking

Yeah, I like them doing a blind tasting for the first challenge. It's nice to do it before all the judges have formed opinions one way or the other.

But isn’t it kinda blind for the first challenge anyway. Blind taste tests seem more relevant to me when they have opinions and impressions of the judges already.

  4. Gee whiz good god! Mush mouth Mika couldn’t read her own name with out stumbling! Does she ever watch a tape of the show and hear herself reading? It’s embarrassing! To her, to the network, to her co-workers, to every person ever who trained and practiced and worked to be good at their job. It’s not tolerable to the viewer.

  5. I’m on Season 5 and it’s really rude how they treat Gina in general. She is a smart strong confident woman who needs to be mocked for having thoughts and expressing herself in a clever way. Everyone look at her like she is crazy!
I keep thinking she is going to prevail but they keep making her a butt of snide facial expressions.

  6. Maybe Trump didn’t test positive but is saying so to distract from the poor debate performance/ white supremacy.

Oh, no, I think it's definitely a lighting problem - look at this clip from just last week, which was bright and comfortable:

Then, this clip, from today, which is so dark and weird:

    I can't be hallucinating this?

Or maybe I am. The pandemic is really taking a toll, let me tell you...

So I haven’t been watching much throughout the pandemic but I do scroll thru here a couple time a week to keep up with the Morning Blow Twins.
So I’ve read you all’s comments about Mika’s pajama tops and disheveled appearance. And I have sympathy for her since I like a good t shirt and cardigan and have gone to work throughout the whole pandemic, slapping makeup on every day
But Christ on a cracker what’s going on in the 2nd clip? Her T-shirt is askew and is not even remotely compatible w the cardigan. Her makeup was slapped on by herself, and the lighting is stupid!
comeon MSNBC get some professionals involved in your 3 hour, flagship morning show!

  8. I’ve watched most of the shows discussed here and I am surprised no one has mentioned George Gently. I had caught episodes here and there before but just watched the whole series straight thru. Really great character writing without the characters taking over the mysteries and police work plots. Great show

I'm watching Loch Ness on AcornTV - one season with 6-8 episodes. It centers around 2 female cops trying to solve multiple murders by a serial killer. The scenery is beautiful - but not quite as gorgeous as Cornwall from Doc Martin, which I just finished binge watching. So far, this is not bad.

I watch most of the shows you guys talk about and I just watched this one. It was just the most quintessential small town, top cop is a middle aged mom, town has apparently gone bar shit, dark yet absurd plot, show. W I think 6 episodes it really defines that whole plot genre

  10. I haven’t watched the show in months as I have preferred actual news lately but Christ on a cracker what is going on w Mika’s look?
so much eye makeup That is applied to make her eyes more open looking in the middle and the hairdo is Just Bangs. She quite literally looks like an insane psychopath when she laughs and smiles.
after a few months off the content is a shock to the system ... me, me, I, I, my dad, me, when I was, I, I.
weve known it for years but wow what an embarrassment these 2 are to themselves.

  11. I enjoyed this season but agree the ending was weird. Like why even waste time on the guy w the cleaver if he goes away and nothing comes of it?  And that Europol woman was just ridiculously bitchy.
The chase scene was fun but obviously the bad guys didn’t really want to kill them cuz it seems they easily could have just driven up alongside and shot the driver. Why crash them first?
Edward Stratton was a great character tho.

  12. Bryan V summed that challenge up perfectly- it was a quick fire.
melissa totally shoulda put an egg on her salad but I don’t know about egg and grapefruit?!

even Tom seemed to be irritated by the challenge being so lame. I fast forward through all the extra stuff like car rides and activities, I only watch the cooking and eating. This was a throwaway episode.

Mika: “He’s just flouting his lies.”  Yeah, that word does not mean what you think it does, Mika.

Ahhh go easy on Miss KYV. She definitely knows what flour means. She just can’t pronounce flaunt.

  15. This is just a terrible episode. Just a diet show. They haven’t showed her eating at all. Did they not have access. You know they’d love to have shown her shoving food in and then claim she doesn’t eat. I think she need to have her metabolism checked.

    .

Joe babbled about the economy.  He said we should wait to reopen the economy.  Some people are rushing.  He said the people who want to reopen the economy should go bag groceries or pump gas.  They could get killed by coronavirus, which would teach them.

That is the most entitled, out of touch, rich guy statement ever. He doesn’t even realize that most people are laid off from their jobs as restaurant managers, waitresses, retail manager, security guard or whatever and yeah buddy they want the ecomy re-opened. EVERYONE wants the economy to re-open and the need to do that is what is going to cause the federal government to get their shit together and get testing etc.. available.
yeah you have a cushy job asshole so you have the luxury to be like I want everyone to stay home and everything to fail for months cuz it’s more entertaining for me.

I try to ration myself when it comes to agreeing with Joey but I think there is some merit to his "10 times more in reality."

Large numbers of deaths are not being attributed to the virus when common sense and circumstance tell us that they should be.

NYC normally has 20-25 death-in-home calls every day and the wide-ranging causes are determined by autopsy.

Yesterday or the day before there were 279 death-in-home calls and that is a typical number lately. They cannot possibly autopsy or blood test all those bodies and those deaths currently are going into a different tally (respiratory distress, pneumonia, etc).

The virus death tallies reflects those known to have the virus, whether they died in hospitals or at home. But TPTB are beginning to realize (and will soon have to admit) that the virus death tally is badly skewed.

I also try to socially distance myself from agreeing with Joe but there’s no way this is not true. In NJ, our company (healthcare but not front line but still open) has 200 employees, 17 people today down with it, only 4 been tested.
And it also seems to be causing cardiac issues in some to which death is attributed.

The theory is that mass testing will allow health officials  to determine if there are people that don't have symptoms of the virus, yet test positive. They can spread the virus without knowing it. It would be ideal if they were quarantined.

And then they could be the ONLY ones quarantined and the economy could restart.
