  1. I hope they do go back to breaking news and in depth coverage of on going stories- MORE than just breaking political news and ongoing political analysis.
I would like to have a news channel to watch again.

With the arrival of cold weather, I was looking forward to having a nice breakfast, complete with a cuppa, while watching The Kitchen for the first time since...uh...I can't remember. But this post stopped me in my tracks. Why is she still on this show? They could so easily get rid of Sunny & Jeff and replace them with chefs or cooks who can bring more to The Kitchen's table (professional, or at least pleasant, TV personalities, better recipes, etc). On a Saturday morning, I don't want to be subjected to yelling, caterwauling, pouts. Chefs similar to Michael Symon and Carla Hall, who are creative and have fun, pleasant personalities, must be available, right?

Carla would be an excellent replacement for Sunny. I don’t mind the extremely scripted dialogue and bad acting because they do cook alot on the show and that’s what I like to watch. Even Jeffs goofiness is fine with me. But it is not tolerable to bring someone into my living room who is caterwauling and smacking her food. Get out. and Jesus, Mar and Joseph (and the wee donkey) Sunny can not shut the fuck up she is talking in the background 100% of the time!

  3. Omg you guys. I haven’t watched in forever but I’ve kept up here from time to time. Holy shit Sunny!  The shouting the constant talking THE SMACKING OF THE FOOD IN HER MOUTH.

she alone makes the show unwatchable. Completely ruins it

Not like him to not charge on that, so I'm going to keep an eye out for a reason coming to light.

I guess we are to think that Jimmy had such disregard for the corrupt cop that he decided to get the revengers off the island w no charges just to end the situation and focus on finding the missing boy. But that’s, as you said, uncharacteristic for him or most tv detectives. Vera would have charged them!  I do think this decision is going to come back to bite Jimmy in the ass

  5. I don’t want to say what the plot “hole@ was cuz spoilers but the decision Jimmy made regarding the release of the 2 suspects was ridiculous. I don’t think any cop would have done that if they could have held them another 24 hours. And they could have been charged w B&E for the knives stunt at least.

  6. I’ve missed almost a year maybe and not watched except a time or 2 for 5 minutes. Today I dipped in and was astounded by our Bond girl’s transformation. Kinda unflattering, mousy old lady haircut. Lip Botox plus filler giving her whole mouth a crazy look. And still the frosted lipstick that only looks ok on a 19-24 year old. She literally looks tragic compared to other anchors her age. Does she not see that?
sorry for the super shallowness but she still can’t read the news so hair and make-up is all she is offering at this point I think.

  7. I haven’t been watching because I, too, needed a break from politics and more importantly, these two.
Turned it on this morning to Mika slow-reading an introduction of 2 people and Joe “asking a question”!which was a 3 minute speech about himself and his thoughts.
    nothing ever changes.

  8. I just find this season wholly unappealing. The contestants are too much: too much shrieking; too much into displaying their extra personalities: too much dressing themselves up for the runway. Just. Too. Much.
I stick with what I said earlier In The season. These are not people I care to hang out with once a week

  9. All the shrieking and literal screaming when they saw the bar was terrible. I know the producers tell them to be over the top but the screaming several times in the episode was not enthusiasm, it was….screaming. If anyone re-watches let me know if I was just cranky when I watched or was it annoying. Bones and the other safe contestant holding hands and jumping up and down when they were backstage, safe, was also over the top and annoying.
Mon the up side this episode we are finally down to enough contestants I can follow who made what and remember most of the names.
thank you bag dress lady should have been eliminated. I think she’s the screamer.

  10. Hi all! I haven’t been on here in quite a while-haven’t been watching. Flicked it on this morning to see the Gold Dust Twins “care” about Kentucky and my god! I watched maybe 5 minutes and it has sunk even further into a pure, unadultered, conscious vanity show. Absolutely shocking, even tho I watched it go that way for years.

  11. I was surprised the judges didn’t comment on the puffer coat hanging off the models shoulders. At no point in the runway or judging did she put it all the way on. Either it didn’t fit or that was the intended look. Is anything more actually completely UNCOMFORTABLE than a winter coat hanging off your shoulders?  Another straitjacket.
Christisn needs to learn how to give feedback without actually doing the design.

wasn't that the team that left some material behind at Mood? I wonder what the original plan was.

Yes they did not have the fabric they wanted. It seemed like she was taking the blame and that it was Bones who would have to compromise his outfit. From what we saw he didn’t whine or make her feel bad. He just did what he had to do to create w what he had.

Well, at least the judges seem to have backed off from insisting that everything be “sexy.”  Not every look has to invite assessments of the wearer’s f*ckability.

Heidi K hears you and does not appreciate this comment!  😂

Yes, it's hard to get used to a gentle, tactful Nina.

This is where we miss Heidi. No pandemic trauma or social justice zeitgeist would have held her back.
What would she have had to say about some of these garments? I’m going to start “fantasy Heidi” judging, coming up with what she would have said

  15. Maybe it is the times we are in, or the extremely diverse set of contestants or the fact they kicked the season off with a whole racial issue but the judging seems so gentle and nice. The gushing on the top garments and the carefully couched criticism of the bottom garments is making it like a whole different show.

  16. Honest question… given the streetwear challenge, and the models they received initially what should they have done?

Because they didn’t have a model that was the ethnicity they wanted, designed for that model’s ethnicity?

or design what they wanted because the model is just a hanger/walker for the clothes?

  17. It’s true the judging is weak and again this week seemed like just a vehicle for resolving the back stage drama.
I was happy that they’re doing 2 day challenges but it might be just to give more time for drama to develop and the clothes don’t matter any more, good, bad or unhemmed.

  18. That cacio de Pepe pumpkin pasta looked fantastic and I appreciated they really showed how to make it from using less water to cook the pasta to melting the cheese into the pasta water.
overall I thought it was a good episode, relatively calm w good cooking content

  19. So no host. No loss so far. Christian really genuine and great to watch.
these designers are going to be a handful. Instead of a couple of big drama attention seekers looks like they went for a majority.
    Drahmaaaah ahead!
