Today is 2 September. Exactly one year out from the show airing. I don't really have much to say, but just had to comment on the moment. Look after yourselves, everyone. It's a long slog from here to there, and we all want to be functional when the moment is upon us.

I was out and about today, and walked past a sign I must have seen a hundred times or more. But today, I stopped and smiled. It was for Charles Edward Jewellery. Coincidence or design? I can't say for sure, but if I ever want a ring done up, that's where I'm headed.

I am still waiting for an episode of Antiques Roadshow where someone brings in a small trinket and learns they've accidentally acquired the stewardship of a sizeable eastern country. Obedient peasants included.
Or maybe it was on Russian TV and they didn't get it quite right.

I was at a cafe today, and at the next table was an Isildur lookalike. Not a dead ringer, but close enough to be distracting.
