Meemaw has had 15 years to get used to the fact that George knocked up Mary; time to get over it. Eidetic *and* echoic. meemaw was a dick. just give george the recipe. i hate when people do that. and all that teasing him with it was juvenile and mean. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/64251-s01e07-a-brisket-voodoo-and-cannonball-run/page/2/#findComment-3895998
anna0852 January 14, 2018 Share January 14, 2018 (edited) That was a total dick move on Memaw's part. If she doesn't want to give away the receipe that fine, everyone has things they keep private. But setting George up to waste what was probably a significant part of the family grocery budget was just mean. I'd have loved to see Mary explain that little detail to her mother. That receipe she gave him started with 12 lbs of beef! That had to be $50+ bucks alone! We definitely see where Sheldon's pronounced mean streak came from! Also that joke about Georgie still stuggling with potty training makes no sense and underscores Memaw's mean streak to boot. He's 5 years older than the twins. If Sheldon was 23 months old (just shy of 2) when Memaw told him the receipe then Georgie was at least 6-7 years old. I could understand him possibly having the occasional nighttime accident (it's not uncommon with kids that age) but if he was still not fully day trained not only does that indicate some significant development issues but it's NOTHING his Grandmother should have been doling out cruel nicknames over.
