Chicago PD Season 5

As glad as I was to hear Jon Seda would be returning, I'm rather dubious as to how it's going to pan out...I mean, his job on Justice was a promotion. So he randomly decides to come back to Intelligence why? They can't have him fired from there, because then the PD wouldn't take him (and we all know Antonio is too awesome to be fired anyways). What on earth is the plotline going to be? I really have no idea.

Then, in regard to Lindsay leaving, I worry about how it will affect Voight. Some people who don't like the character often say it's because he's too harsh/hard; via Lindsay, it was a good way to show his softer/more personal side. With her gone, I'm afraid that he's going to be all business all the time, and that certainly wouldn't be good.

I think they've explained it in other articles that Intelligence needs to send someone undercover and Antonio is the only face the guy won't recognize or something like that? And then I assume as he is working with them again, he realizes how much he misses his "family" and decides to come back?

That's a good point about Voight. Personally he's my least favourite, and that's precisely why; I often find it extremely difficult to root for someone like that. But Lindsay definitely softened him. They keep talking about bringing the show to the current landscape of crime and police work in 2017 (and specifically in Chicago), and there's something about an auditor for the unit I think? So those things should help to keep him in check a bit. Plus he will still have both Antonio and Jay being the strong voices opposing his sketchy moral compass.
