So here goes: Long ago, I watched a show where Dan Rather (???) interviewed a bunch of vets from the My Lai massacre. One vet pulled out a big ole box of pills, just like the one the vet on this show had received, courtesy of the VA. The more things change ... If anyone's interested, I'd recommend watching the (Viceland) Weediquette episode "Stoned Vets". It fits nicely into this narrative, IMHO. I'd say a lot more, but need to save my semi disabled arms & hands for filling up two giant green monsters with yard debris before pickup day.
