Which Pilot Version do you like best and why?

I prefer the international (even with pacing issues) as it gives everyone more screen time. I can settle for the domestic as it's paced better but cuts out key scenes I like. The syndicated version is trash.

I can't vote for this, because I watched both the domestic and international back to back and couldn't tell the difference! I'll have to do it again later.

By syndicated, do you mean the version that is airing now on ION? And not the first initial run? Because that won't be the entire pilot--due to ad revenue, scenes will be cut for, well, commercials.

International runs ~80 minutes, domestic ~67 minutes, syndicated (what's running on ION) ~45 minutes.

I didn't realize there were different versions. I now own the DVDs, but originally watched it on Netflix the first time around. I'm guessing that's the full 80-minute version I've always seen. 

I can't even think of anything they could cut to make it to 67 minutes; 45 minutes just boggles the mind.

Huh. I'm going to have to rewatch them both again, to catch the differences.

I remember when it was still airing on USA, that the pilot was 90 minutes, and in reruns, it would be broken into two parts. ION should have done that as well.

Yeah, that would've made more sense than to try and cut in in half. People should really consult me on these things! ;)

The scene with Shawn practicing his shocked faces in the back of the car and the scene with him shooting the handgun at the range are two quick ones I remember being cut from international to domestic.

I remember the gun range scene from the airings on USA.  It's one of the things I loved about him and at the same time wish that Lassie would have found out-just like him having the highest score on the detectives exam.?
