Mumbles October 15, 2016 Share October 15, 2016 (edited) Ana Navarro was fine when her buddy George Bush encouraged a culture of fear and ignorance for eight years and would have been happy as a pig in excrement had her other buddy Jeb Bush got the nomination promising another stint of that stuff. The GOPsters who decry Trump need to accept their role in creating the culture and party where he has thrived. And when this nightmare is over, let's see how eager they are to return the party to one that doesn't survive on creating enemies - whether they be Muslims, scientists, welfare recipients, feminists or government regulators. I'm not holding my breath. And it's noteworthy she doesn't have the courage of her convictions and pledge to vote for the only candidate who can defeat Trump. I agree, I do, but in this polarized climate I'm pathetically grateful for any Republican who rubs a couple of brain cells together and puts their own political aspirations/careers on the line to stand up and repudiate Trump. 1 Link to comment
tenativelyyours October 19, 2016 Share October 19, 2016 Yeah and maybe I am projecting, but I appreciated the fact that it seemed Trevor was visibly gearing up to pushing on the vote issue with Ana and she did admit that if she thought it would make the difference she would vote for Hillary. It was grudging and I think that Ana could have taken a lesson from Michelle's bit earlier about the constant voting against women on issues in Congress from the same people all up in arms over pussy being uttered. What is more, even with her grudging admission of maybe possibly voting for Clinton is the rage I feel when people like McCain and Collins for instance go on and on about saying how they cannot possibly vote for the Orange Beast but will not come out and declare they are voting for Clinton. It is the Pontius Pilate approach of handwashing themselves of any responsibility. And while it is a bit self serving for me who sees Clinton as the only choice as of now, I also see it as self serving to avoid being responsible for this man and a nonvote still opens the way for him to become President theoretically. A write in vote or a throwaway vote is still a vote against the one person in the running who is actually qualified for the job and the only one to stand in his way to becoming President. And yes, there is more than a small sense that Navarro's antipathy is rooted in the matter personally as towards who her "candidate" is/was, but I do appreciate that finally there is open pushback against that creature and it is much fuller than even people whose future does not rely on riding the unceertain wave of electorate mood and approval still...wait for it.. pussyfoot around (sorry, a little bit at least). 1 Link to comment
