I flove your hatred of Steve so much. I hated him from his smarmy, gross beginning all the way through movie #2. He is part of the trope that women don't really know what they want and should start looking at the hard-working "good guy" that is great in reality if not on paper. It fulfills the idea that women typically are looking for money and status in men while the best guys have neither, when most women are not as concerned with money and status as they are with being talked to and treated with respect, having things in common and enjoying each other's company. Other than their love of sports (not exactly that hard to find), what do he and Miranda have in common?

So sign me up for Sex And The City 3: Steve Dies A Horrible Agonizing Death. It needs to happen to salvage that relationship for me. Miranda deserves better as do we all.

God, I so felt Carrie's pain at the Mr. Winkle humiliation. I once showed up for a book signing in Cleveland to find the store wasn't set up yet. The manager said -- I kid you not -- "Sorry things aren't ready yet. We had a real writer here last night, so things were a little hectic." Who the hell says to the author that just showed up to sign books that the store personnel had been too busy with a "real writer" to bother with her event? And, to put this on a Mr. Winkle level, it turns out that the "real writer" was fucking Drew Carey, who'd been promoting his literary classic, "Dirty Jokes and Beer". Jesus wept. Now I need a drink!

This season is my least favorite by a wide margin.  I'm guessing SJP's pregnancy forcing a short season is what caused the severe unevenness (a lot of things got rushed), and it shows.  There are bits and pieces of episodes I liked, and they almost all belonged to Samantha - the vibrator scene in The Sharper Image always cracks me up, so did her stapling up those flyers of Richard, and her launching those cantaloupes at Richard's house.  The one non-Samantha only part I like (though she is in the scene) is when the ladies yell at that douchebag in Atlantic City that called Miranda fat.  But on the whole, a lot of my least favorite episodes are in this season; I HATE "The Face" episode (even with the aforementioned Samantha scene) and the episode about Carrie's cover sets my teeth on edge.

However, the upcoming season 6 (both parts) is actually my second-favorite season, so I'm looking forward to discussing that.

I agree Miranda does deserve better. She's an intelligent woman. They were s good mstchbin the early days when Steve used to read Hemingway behind the bat. Since they dumbed Steve down I find their relationship cringworthy.

On paper most women want a guy with status and money. In reality most women want good convesation, love and attention. Of course money won't go a miss. Weather you agree or not.
