I know! Yet another example of Matthew's 'grace notes' that he brings to Spencer. Rewatching the episode, it's just a fleeting moment, but seeing the gif slowed down brings a whole new dimension to it. 

 

It's a hard one I know so I'll just tell you it's Bully.

Isn't he just gorgeous? Season 5 - one of my least favourite episodes. Obviously from the back half of the season as he;s ditched the cane.

Gonna take a stab. The episode in five I avoid like the plague is The Fight. Which is really weird because it was written by Big Ed and Chris and I love them both. So just based on my gut I'll say that one. 

 

Even though I don't remember that scene in that particular ep. :P

Reid was talking to Penelope on the phone and she was teasing him that he was checking out Ashley, and of course he was, but he had to deny it. I really wonder what Ed's ultimate endgame was with that. I mean, I heard rumors that he had some ideas about hooking those two up, and that scene seems to support that by laying the groundwork. I mean, Reid hadn't flirted with or checked out any of his colleagues since his ill-fated date with JJ. Of course if that HAD been the endgame, I think Ashley would be even more hated as a character than she ended up being.
