I can't remember the last time a new movie blew me away like this one. Trans characters played by trans actors. Pathos, bathos, humor, devastating sadness, the rare intimacy of deep friendship. All shot on iPhones, too.

I thought it had one of the best and most moving final scenes of the year, but most of what led up to it just kind of annoyed me more than anything else.

I thought it was great, vibrant, funny, and  heartbreaking in equal measure. I thought it beautiful captured the extremities of life on the street as sex worker. Everything is heightened, and I appreciated that Alexandra is a constant counter point to Sindee's propulsive search for the fish and man who done her wrong. It was a wonderful look at the complexities of friendship between women, and the community of the streets.
