  4. Joslyn/Erin
  5. Ashley/Burnie
  6. Darius/Cameron

Matt/Dana have made it past Leg 3* as well:

* Also in Cartagena, with the Leg 2 PitStop being the Plaza/Parque de Bolivar and the Soumaya Museum as the Leg 1 PS

I think everyone who made it to Switzerland also made it to France.  If we're finding out about leg five's destination this early, it sounds like leg four was a TBC/zero-hour Pit Stop to me.  The teams hit hours of operation last night (in Swiss time) and only started racing again this morning.

Hagan/Marty have not surfaced since Mexico (CIty), and the last appearance of Darius/Cameron was in South America.

The F7* is all but confirmed to have overcome the double-leg in the Francophone Alps:

Ashley/Burnie, Sheri/Cole, Matt/Dana, Blair/Scott, Zach/Rachel, Korey/Tyler, and Brodie/Kurt all got spotted in the Georgian capital.

Therefore, the first NEL/TBC was on either Leg 1 or 3 in order to yield the following boot order:

11th: Hagan/Marty (final sighting in MXC)

10th: Darius/Cameron (final sighting in South America)

9th or 8th: Joslyn/Erin (final sighting en route to Europe)

9th or 8th: Jessica/Brittany (final sighting between Geneva and Chamonix)

* It's Day 14 out of ~21 allotted for filming, i.e. 2/3s into the schedule, Leg 8 intuitively with a slight allowance for Leg 7 or 9 in either direction.

As what it figure out, according to bottle posted in RFF, Kurt and Brodie spotted and seen racing in Tbilisi and no signs of Jessica and Brittany, reportedly last seen in the French Alps. Edited by ApprenticeFan

Damn, this is like the worst year in TAR history* for parent/child teams: the dad/daughter pair got booted in 7th place back in Tbilisi and the mom/son came in last on a F6 NEL in Dubai.

* Two dad/daughter teams eliminated before the finale of this summer's Canadian edition, then JamesEarl & Denise in the most recent episode.

Cole & Sheri overcame their SB such that Brodie & Kurt and Rachel & Zach both got eliminated in/around Denpasar, while Ashley & Burnie are suspected to be the final boot in South China.

Thus, the finalists racing through SoCal are C & S, Matt & Dana, and Korey & Tyler.

For the final leg in LA:

RFF has photos and sightings indicating that the three teams left the first task, an apparent roadblock, within 30 minutes of each other. Interpolating from what RFF found, it looked like Matt and Dana were first to leave, followed by Cole and Sherri about 23 minutes later. Korey and Tyler weren't actually seen, but the third helicopter took off 7 minutes after Cole and Sherri left.

At ~ 0:41, Marty tells Hagan, "I'm so proud of you" inside a cab with a tropical setting outside the window: this location would be the Totumo Volcano by the Northern Colombian coast just outside Cartagena rather than the Central Mexican interior, i.e. it'll be the first premiere (F11) NEL in nine seasons and only the fourth of its kind.

At ~ 0:32, Cole has just performed a mud-bathing RB In the same location.

This season's NEL/TBC sequence is one away from being a replica of 18/UB (just like 23 copied 16): otherwise, it's 11-7-6 with the second one occurring in the middle of the two Caucasus nations.

If the new SB template continues in the style of TAR: Norway - incidentally Tanner's ancestral homeland - then perhaps the saved budget went into funding the first half of this route/course.

It appears that this dad/daughter duo will have run the same number of legs as the very first premiere NEL recipients, Season 15 Poker Gals Maria & Tiffany, yet will also have technically finished one place lower:

  • 11th: Marty & Hagan eliminated in Leg 2, the first of the double Colombian round
  • 10th: Cameron & Darius eliminated in Leg 3, the second of the double Colombian round
  • 9th: Erin & Joslyn or Brittany & Jessica eliminated in Leg 5, the second of the double Francophone Alps round
  • 8th: survivor of previous episode eliminated in Leg 6, Armenia
  • 7th: Scott & Blair eliminated in Leg 7, Georgia
  • 6th: Zach & Rachel or Kurt & Brodie eliminated in Leg 9, the first of the double Indonesia/Bali round
  • 5th: survivor of previous episode eliminated in Leg 10, the second of the double Indonesia/Bali round
  • 4th: Burnie & Ashley eliminated in Leg 11, China
  • Finalists Matt & Dana, Sheri & Cole, and Tyler & Korey
