Haven't seen the show. My question concerns that Office spinoff that was being talked about, the one that would feature Dwight. (I think it was going to be called Dwight Schrute.)

 

Does the existence of Backstrom mean the show called Dwight Schrute is off the table? I can only think it means that. You don't start up a police procedural unless you hope it's going to run a few seasons. Yet I don't recall any announcement of the scrapping of Dwight Schrute. Just wondering if anybody knows.

I seem to recall the spinoff news - wasn't that done with a backdoor pilot in the last few episodes of The Office? NBC passed on that show, is this the one you're thinking of?

I wish Netflix or Amazon Prime would pick this back up. It wasn't a terrible show.

I agree, @Suzy123!  There's so much crap on TV, and I rather enjoyed this show.  It had a lot of potential.

It  did have a lot of potential. I also thought Rainn Wilson looked really sexy in this. And he is an awesome actor.
