MarkHB February 9, 2015 Share February 9, 2015 From the Geraldo thread: It was always a bit of a mystery to me how Williams got the anchor job in the first place. A long time ago, Jeff Greenfield wrote a book called "The People's Choice: A Cautionary Tale." While the book itself was something of a black comedy about what would happen if the President-elect died shortly after the election, he also threw in a bit about the true skill of an anchorman, the thing they actually get paid the big money for: to be able to have people yell a jumble of information at you in the rush of a commercial break and then turn around when the tally light goes on and calmly, reassuringly and intelligently deliver that information to the viewers. 1 Link to comment
Ananayel February 4, 2017 Share February 4, 2017 Putting this here, since it features former winner Bret Michaels - VH1 is currently airing a massive Rock of Love marathon this weekend. Don't threaten me with a good time! 2 Link to comment
Maverick February 6, 2017 Share February 6, 2017 Which is so weird, because...why? Is Bret dong something that would make them show a decade old reality show? Even more puzzling, I thought VH1 buried the master tapes of the entire "of Love" franchise in the desert next to the ET Atari tapes after that murder contestant scandal. Link to comment
Ananayel February 6, 2017 Share February 6, 2017 I think they did this last year around Valentine's day too. It's "Love Week." Next weekend it's Flavor of Love. I'm down - if VH1 made a Celebreality channel, I'd watch it all the daggone time. It's the first time I've had VH1 on since last year. 1 Link to comment
