S12.E09: Blackpool Week

It's Blackpool Week!

 

Frankie and Kevin -  Dance was lovely, perfectly enjoyable. It wasn't a 10 though. 8/10

Jake and Jeanette - Sexy, dramatic dance. The professional back-up dancers showed him up whenerver they were around. 9/10

Sinatra and Brandon - Great party dance (I guess) but Brandon shows her up so dramatically 8/10

Simon and Kristina - Smooth, sexy and slinky - well-deserved praise. 9/10

Judy and Anton - I love seeing Anton dance.. it almost doesn't matter that it's with Judy. Almost. 4/10

Mark and Karen - FUN!!  9/10

Pixie and Trent - Wasn't feeling the ah-mah-zing.
Steve and Ola - I honestly forgot all about this performance... ?/10

Caroline and Pasha - Fun party dance, very cutesy. 8/10

Other thoughts:
- The starting performance was fantastic!

- What if non-celebrities started going on this show?
- I really want to see the judges dancing. 

[Occasional Hope]

Well, it was about time we said goodbye to Judy, although I've really warned to her personality over the course of her run.  She just couldn't dance.  Steve needs to go next, please, GBP; the solid lifts are no substitute for moving like a dancer.

 

My favourites this week were Pixie; Jake (back with a bang after a few disappointing weeks); and Simon.  Caroline and Mark also did well.

 

Loved the opening dance, but the little girl singer was very flat.  Child singers so often are.

- What if non-celebrities started going on this show? 

 

If this show held a contest for one male and one female viewer to dance with the pro of his or her choice, and you were the lucky winner, whom would you choose for your pro and why (and same-sex couples would be allowed)?

I'd pick Tristan or Anton. Or maybe Natalie? I was just reading an article about Strictly and they called Pasha "pint sized" ha! I googled him and it said he was 5'10" but I doubt he's that tall. Oh well... Who would you pick, legal??  Did you see ITT yesterday when Robin Windsor was so excited about getting to dance with Aljaz :)  ?

He's also on the Christmas special with Rachel Stevens and he danced on the Children in Need special with Aliona. I hope those are good signs for him being in the pro case for the 2015 season. Fingers crossed!  Robin tweeted that he would not be going on the tour, which makes me think that he had thought he would be. I wonder if Robin will be back next season?
