nymusix January 9, 2014 Author Share January 9, 2014 Not sure how I feel about the homage to the British directorial style (the Guy Ritchie style parodied in the title) - it could have been cool, but it played pretty poorly for me. Getting Vinnie Jones to appear was pretty cool I guess though. I also think in general I'm less a fan of the episodes where Psych pays homage to a film/genre than most. Link to comment
Trey August 13, 2014 Share August 13, 2014 I also think in general I'm less a fan of the episodes where Psych pays homage to a film/genre than most. Watched this episode last night and I have to say it was one of my least liked episodes although there was still certainly plenty of good in it. I don't know if it was the directorial style or the lack of the other regulars (only small doses of Lassie). I loved other homages such as the one to Twin Peaks and Clue but this one, not so much. 1 Link to comment
mstaken August 13, 2014 Share August 13, 2014 (edited) I love Harry Potter and love many of the homage episodes (Dual Spires, 100 Clues and, my all-time favorite, American Duos!), but, yeah, something about this episode's pacing and tone were just 'off' for me, for lack of a better way of putting it. Based on the plot synopsis, it could have been one of my very favorites of the series, but somehow it just fell really short for me. Edited August 13, 2014 by mstaken Link to comment
Jediknight September 10, 2014 Share September 10, 2014 I liked this episode. The Harry Potter jokes (even though I'm not a Potter fan), Vinnie Jones being hilarious, and Desperaux reacting to Shawn and Gus's antics. There was just way too much making me laugh to not like it. Link to comment
